  1. The other alternative, is if you are getting a new headunit.. get a double diversity adaptor which allows the Jap aerial to connect to the aussie single plug.. anyone can fit it.. jb hi-fi's.. should cost about $30 from autobarn..
  2. just because i'm not a member doesn't mean I can't eat does it .. lol ..
  3. Gimme a break mate, I'm studying at uni and working at franklins parttime. I get $18.37 an hour. There is no way that i'd work in an office doing shitty work for 12-14 an hour when I do the same shitty work for frankies at $18.37 an hour. and i'm sure working there will get you a long way into a corporate career.. my guess is you are on casual? is that what you want to do for the rest of your career.. in the end alot of people sacrafice pay for an oppurtunity to break into something like enjoy/want to do.. alot of people when working out there hourly rate would be on less than you are.. the fact is though that they work 35+ hours weeks and earn more than you.. good luck when you finish uni.. hope you get a job where they pay you more than 40k+ in an industry you like.. becuase 9 out of 10 people won't..
  4. mine unfortunately allows me to unlock the door with the keyless and open it.. obviously my alarm then proceeds to go off.. the best thing about this is however.. I can leave the turbo-timer going with a 5 mintue countdown.. lock the doors.. run in - grab a coffee. the milk.. whatever.. come back unlock it and drive off!!.. just as long as the cops don't see me..
  5. it arms the immobiliser - however the sensor alarm isn't armed until you lock the car.. if I turn the ignition on without disabling the immob. the alarm goes off.. I can sit around do everything I want, listen to stereo, turn lights on.. just not put the car to on..
  6. out of interest - how hard do you guys end up pushing the cars.. did you have much wear and tear - or is it all dependant on how hard you push it.. i've seen the footage of Fatz having fun in the motorkhana section..
  7. Funny you guys should post this - I was actually looking at it the other day - would love to do it - however I don't think I wanna be punting my current car around it.. From what I gather you can have a driver/co-driver - both of you compete - one at a time in the car against each other.. $3000 for a driver team isn't too bad.. (off the top of my head).. would love to pick up an R32 gts-t and enter in it.. Anyone need a co-drive lol..
  8. don't you get a day off every fortnight?
  9. ^^ ditto.. remember looking under the hood when the Drag day was cancelled.. looked very sweet and was sorry I didn't get to see it run that day.. sorry to hear..
  10. WOOOOAHHH.. jesus.. what happened there.. guess you'll have to get an aftermarket front bar.. so - how's the drive? much difference? you winding up the boost?
  11. so did anyone find where to get any.. lucky guy FriniK.. don't think i'll ask nissan how much they are..
  12. Hey bilbo117.. This is the same as alot of people that are running stock cars with maybe just an exhaust.. After we discussed it with a couple of people in a thread we narrowed it down to car running overly rich and by giving it a boot your exhaust temps are rising massively especially around the turbo.. as you back off the throttle, excess fuel is dumped than ignited by the heat as it passes through the exhaust housing.. do a search..
  13. Awesome.. i'm away the following weekend so atleast now I won't miss it..
  14. really can't disagree with Razor.. lowest you'll prob ever get - $2000 until you get over 25.. i'm 22 - paying $2000 with a $1600 exces.. it bites.. but that's the price you pay.. considering a) age B) accident history and c) as well as lack of driving experience or years - you won't do too well.. they actually take into account the number of years you have had your license - so the longer you have had it the cheaper it gets even if you are under 25.. anyways - you'll quickly find out that you probably can't do much cheaper.. you want to drive a turbo import.. well.. that's the price..
  15. wouldn't say GTR is more realistic.. or R factor.. played all 3.. would still say GT4 is a very well mapped out physics.. Live for speed however, would probably take the cake.. problem with the above - GTR and R factor, is although they are meant to be realistic, they are still somewhat arcadey in their feel.. i've just cranked GT4 out again (got a HD 32" LCD - really makes a difference).. maybe if I had a steering wheel for the PC games it would make a difference.. live for speed would have to be my pick.. great fun..
  16. I don't know anyone who gets this but it is lower than $5.50 I used to get $4.60/hr when working at KFC.. than I got a $0.13 pay rise.. I quit the following week after 3 months.. I was 15.. anyways.. yeah.. you'll have fun with seek..
  17. my immobiliser/alarm arm as soon as the car is not running after 40 seconds.. this includes when listening to just the stereo.. which means I have to press the button to disarm it otherwise it goes off when I try to start the car.. personally this isn't really a bad thing.. it means if I leave the car atleast somone can't just get in and start it and drive off (unless it's under 40secs)..
  18. I have keyless entry on mine, key comes with a lock and unlock button, problem is the keys to replace will cost you approx $500 from nissan.. I think there was a remote alarm unit, problem is you'll need to a) get the part no. for the key and B) get nissan to get one in for you.. get someone to look at nissan FAST.. or maybe contact a nissan guys there and they should be able to help you out - just go to the spare parts guys.. as for how well it works.. nfi..
  19. Yeah.. goto say.. don't bother - just spend the 10K and get a twin turbo.. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/add/available.php - check through here and get a price.. you could get a TT supra for around 25k - 30k I reckon..
  20. hmm.. yes i'm wondering how it happened as well..
  21. Well done - looks like a nice set of wheels.. very stock as you said.. are they hard to get in canada?
