  1. no sh@un, differant. not like a minni, rather a eletric hydrolic pump to replace the engine driven one. still has the normal hoses etc etc.
  2. in a perfect world the bocv would have such a light spring that its just enough to seat the valve and hold no more than 3 or 4 pound. dont forget its the boost pressure acting on the opposite side of the valve that seals it not the spring tension. so in reality a proper poppet style bov with a rubberised seat (stock gtr) can never leak boost. ever. so long as the bov has got the same boost acting on its diaphram as it got in the pipe it sits in.
  3. stock gtr ones are fully open at idle... wich is why they need to be plumbed back if using air flow meters. i tryed two wanker hks ssq's, absolutly shit compared to stock. massive delay and nowhere near as much flow.
  4. oh, with 3.5" ex no cat and screamer. but my dump pipe could of been better.
  5. sounds on the money to me. i wouldnt get your hopes up to much. any rb25 making close to 400kw on a gt35 is very stout. hell my 26 only made 376 on 25pound with a t04z...
  6. having said all that i put this on my car lol.
  7. the only gain is if the plenum has a shit distribution. but you loose low speed response. if you do get a gain its because the plenum is not great. if you have a look at alot of the older turbo race cars all have no bigger than 75mm. (same size as the pipework.) 1400hp 4cyl with a smaller than 3" tb says alot. just dont put one thats bigger than the plumbing. complete waste of time. 75mm is big as youl ever need. ever.
  8. not without the nismo stub axles. of you need to use gtr drive shafts with gtr wheel hubs
  9. kms? hp at engine? what clutch? h pattern or sequetial
  10. not crank angle sensor. for the dash to die it something to do with your battery/alt circuit. i would be checking all the main fuses for corosion.
  11. if your piston was a flat top, you would have 15cc below the top of the deck. your 25 pistons have a + 11.5cc. so... 15-11.5=3.5cc so efectivly you have a piston with a 3.5cc dish in it. and since flat tops yield about 8:1 i figure my calculations arnt wrong. which says 7.7:1 with rb25 piston. if you were to deck the block your 2.54mm (way to much) it would be 9.38:1 evan decking 1mm its 8.28:1,1.5mm is 8.6:1 , 2mm its 8.96:1 great calc but.
  12. stock rb30 block height or piston pin height or compresson height is 32mm. zero deck clearance. ie flush. i used the same calc as you?.. like 5 times as my results were so differant to yours. i dont know how high the block is. break out the ruler i spose
  13. my tb41. aka t04e o trim rear 57mm inducer, made 328 rwkw @1.2bar on mr dr30 rb26.. all on by 3800. till the thrust bearing crapped itsself
  14. *sprays old block silver and ships back*
  15. 2 degrees at the crank. 1 at the cam. so for example if you were to advance your intake cam "2 degrees" you would move the cam pully 1 mark.
  16. not quite 4L (2.8) but 6 cyl 2 stroke in a snow mobile pipey madness
  17. common one is a z418.(toyota) inbulit relief valve. better if using a oil cooler. 3/4unf thread is what you are after. not a m20 thread. (some sr20 and later model nissan) so. z442,z145,z418,z9,z115 just of the top of my head. as long as it fits in the spot all will be fine. and bigger is better.
  18. and with small turbos like them, 120-140k/rpm is normal! so any out of balance will rapidly ware them out.
  19. the problem with ball bearing garretts is when you pull them apart the bearings get dammaged. ie, taking them down to bare shaft and wheels. they are not designed to be pulled apart. the bearing inner race is a very tight fit on the shaft. so to actualy balance them, youneed to factor in a replacement ball bearing cartridge. hence the cost. from a mass produced side of things its cheaper to just buy a new chra unfortonatly.
  20. its a big turbo.. from that inducer size id say its straight of a 400ish hp diesel. 64mm inlet. but it will be able to make 40+ pounds of boost no worries you could get a smaller ex housing, but its still set up for a BIG motor. ps. probably not ball bearing either. it will have a massive turbine wheel aswell. just not suited for any sort of performance petrol application. at a guess. it will hit full boost slowly at aroung 5500-6k.
  21. shouldnt be sloppy. unless the dowls are missing.
  22. 26 has a longer stroke. with the same length rod. so the lower pin height.
  23. zero. your calc is wrong. with them sitting down in the bores will be lower. ie 7.7:1 for 25 pistons 31.3mm pin height and 7.6:1 for 26 pistons. ie:lower pin height of 30.3mm i suspect you enterd a minus in your deck height box. (only if its poking above the bore.)
  24. anyone have any info on rb30 domed pistons that DONT have massive dirty valve reliefs cut into them? ie just like 25/25 pistons but with the correct pin height?
