Auto Stop Service Centre (02) 4226 2846 39 -41 Montague St North Wollongong NSW 2500
  5. Hey nick, probably already covered but what is the price for non-members.
  6. this is an old post from when we had the workshop but you can see the sumps, they clear crossmembers etc. pay no attention to the group buy stuff, but if there is interest its better to do a couple rather than a one off. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Be...fl-t251219.html
  7. ha ha, driven a commodore lately? with the amount of off the shelf parts and interchangeable parts available for a Nissan, let alone the body shape of the R32 which is small, and arguably the best ever made, the combination was good. And im not sure what a Commodore has to do with it, if i had the coin i would have bought a Vet. The thing is i always wanted the Skyline, the engine popped up by chance. Ive owned one taxi and ill never go back....
  8. ha ha, what sunroof??????? did a great job. Project coming along well Ryan, and yes the list of things to do always seems to grow instead of shrink lol. Let me know if you want your oil pan modified while the engine is on the stand. We built a couple of high energy style pans with internal gates and baffeling for RB engines for circuit use, there is a thread somewhere. Just be easy to do it now. Still get a bit worried about oil surge in the standard sump and with the suspension you are running you will see decent corner speeds and braking G forces. Hope to see it at OP.
  9. Started on the air dam today. Used a fibreglass bonnet outer skin, marked it out and slowly got it to sit around the intake. still have to glass up the sides and fit mounting brackets but you can get the general idea...
  10. no no no, ive already targeted the blue nugget.......it has to be there or ill get lost.
  11. faaark mate you are so smooth......and its so quiet. wish it was as easy as you make it look.
  12. yeh mate, thinking of making a day of it.
  13. full noob question but where is it held at.
  14. im still waiting for Vin Diesel to climb out of it.... The wing is glass with a wrap. The uprights are cnc machined alloy and pretty serious though and it has large endplates. i bought it second hand over the net. Dont know who makes it....could even be a custom job but not sure.
  15. OK, the wing is on......and im not sure about it. maybe it will grow on me but at the moment i think its ricey, when i see it all i can think of is honda civics or mitsubishi lancers. i hope it gives the downforce it looks like it should or its going to get the ol heave ho. Anyway can always sell it to a drifter lol.....which makes me wonder why they have wings anyway.
  16. make sure to buy a decent cooler, preferebly a return flow as stated, where the short pipe is the cold pipe. the interheater style coolers where the pipe runs behind radiator are not advised.
  17. and the fact he will have to be running a chute...
  18. Hi mate, im running D2 330mm 8 pot fronts and D2 330mm 6 pot rears on my gtst. I was reccommended these brakes by guys that have had circuit racing experience and they are great. i have only done one track day on them but they have run seasons on them. Pads are interchangeable with other well known brake manufacturers. You can run a 17' wheel with the 330mm rotors. They are about $2000 a set so half the price and come with everything including braided brake hoses. I was looking at the same kits you were but am glad i went this way.
  19. alot of sh$t gets flung around by all the engineers in the forced induction section..........motorsport sections are good.
  20. cant believe how close to the track you guys were sitting.....just as well i wasnt allowed, probably would have killed someone.
  21. i guess i did it this way as the tanks are cheap and it was easy to modify to run the internal pumps and because ive set up to many fuel systems on drag cars lol. If i run a standard tank i would have to run a surge and i just wanted to keep it simple. My setup only runs a feed, pressure is regulated at the tank. Ill drop the tank into the wheel well and the sump will hang through. Its minimal work to do this and i wont have to re-plumb anything. i
  22. got through a bit of work this week, removed rear boot latch and fitted some bonett pins on the boot lid to make it easier to access the fueltank and eliminate the risk of loosing the key and not being able to open the boot. Purchased a GT style rear wing, 1500 wide and sits just over 300 off the boot lid. Great fathers day present, thanks girls. have began lowering the drivers seat which we should finish tonight. Also going to lower the fuel tank to drop the centre of gravity as it was advised this could aid in helping with handling in the rear of the car. Still waiting for the front bumper. Might give the air ducting/engine cover a crack on the week-end.
  23. spotted white R35 in Springhill Rd heading into Wollongong yesterday. Plates were something R35. Mature age gentelman driving.
