  3. look,im almost as biger MW fan as Roy, but what you are saying is correct, SV is generally quicker in qualifying, He just has to be more consistent during the race. Thats where MW is still a more superior drver. put it down to experience or what ever but MW is driving better so far this season. SV is still young and has a massive career infront of him.
  4. yay, ive had it with going to work on Monday after F1 on minimal sleep.
  5. yeh its something that was overlooked when mounting the rack, but can be rectified, not sure why it would be causing me issues only in turns 1 & 2. I had less trouble later in the day after some instruction on my line into turn 1. but turn 2 was still an issue, i think i wasnt braking hard enough and going in a bit hot while still trailing the brake. Ill have to give it another go and try some changes on the day. i just wanted to drive it on Friday.

  7. Hey Gary, funny you mention the oil as you see a puff of smoke before it went around. We fixed it after the second session and the car was better behaved so probably did contribute. Alot was me also, a bit more time in the seat will help. Ill let you know next time im out.

  10. yeh Gary did the initial set-up, it has not had corner weights done. turn 1 was more my fault with a bad line, someone pulled me up on it before the last session and talked me through a better line. car was better then. still loose through 2. the rest was not too bad, but ive got no experience at all and nothing to compare too. i have no idea on speed, id button off at about 5800rpm in 5th and wash some speed off on the brake before turn 1. so maybe 160 or so. but ten again i dont know how quick it was going before i brake. yeh love to try some changes, would be great thanks. This is a bad quality video of session 1 and my first incident lol. sorry about quality.
  11. thanks guys, my brother has video of me coming off at turn 2 and Ando bipping the horn as he drives past lol. i think im going to need a lot of help in the set-up department. Guys.......anyone..
  12. Ah Ben, i love that mentality, but spare a thought for those of us that used more than 4 litres of fuel on the day lol. i had thirty in the tank for session 1 and added 20 every session, did 4 1/2 sessions and have 10 left at $1.80 a litre. give me a week brus.

  15. ill give it a rest now and concentrate on having this baby. Missus is 37 weeks so anytime now. Have to sort out these handling issues to make it a bit safer lol. everything is for sale Chris.
  16. most definately Neil, you know you have done an honest days driving when your hairs all wet and so is your undershirt. 5-15 minute sessions is more driving than a drag racer would see in a year. Thought about it after we got home but i should have let you have a steer. I dont think anyone else would fit in the seat. Next time.
  17. thanks Chris, yeh roy, by lap 3 of the first session i was already bored of the track and decided to check the infield out between turns 1 & 2. that one was painless. the next time i did the same thing but this time i went in side-ways and damaged the front bar. I thought id make sure the job was done correctly by going off after turn 2 and before the bridge. but thats all lol. Car was very light in the arse on braking, mid corner, corner exit, excelleration etc, basically it tried to swap ends on me every where. i was even loose on the straight in 4th at one stage, but after getting some good advice on lines through turn 1 i was more confident into turn 2 which i was most shit scared of. mechanically it was great, had an oil leak in the tranny in first couple of sessions but sorted that out. just more track time and some adjustments to get it to behave and it wont be as much of a handfull. but it was cool knowing i could squeeze the gas and light the tyres up. just had to make sure it was pointing straight. all in all i was very happy seeing i had never driven the car before and or driven OP.
  18. great day and steep learning curve. Had an excellent time. Thanks to all who helped in the garage and also the seniors for their great advice. Would have been good to get someone in the car but after my turn 2 incidents i couldnt see many people would put their hand up.lol. Its good to know that the car will double for a lawn mower.

  21. nah Baron we were told it was all good, then pulled the pin. we were actually on the lot with all the cars. it was kinda cool, but i think it worked out for the best as the photographer was happy with the second lot of shots.
  22. was planning to do the above things today after the photo shoot for Boost Magazine but after being turned away from the local kart track we made our way to the local Nissan dealership to shoot. We shot pretty much everything we had too when the manager came out and told us we couldnt use anything as the dealership could not be affiliated with an import. 3 hours wasted. Was lucky enough to be allowed to do the shoot at local wrecking yard (Dapto Pick A Part) who were more than happy to have us there. 2rismo may be able to shed some light on what issue it could be in.

  24. yeh, all set..........i think......getting a bit nervous now actually. have to swing a spaner over it 2moro and change the running in oil and check other levels but thats about it.
