  1. Ive got one on my car, and they look to be about 800 hp, they are certainly bigger than the gt35r 700hp. With the same cams as you, and an rb30, im hoping to get 450rwkw, but thatll need 1.6bar. On the old rb26 it was horribly laggy, but the motor had a cracked piston. It was supposed to make 380rwkw at 1.4 bar on a stock motor. Im only keeping the turbo at the moment, as its like new, and i figure the $2-3000 to put a later gen turbo on it can be spent elsewhere on the motor at this stage.
  2. Hi, ive been trying to get some M14x 1.5 banjo bolts for a turbo L300 project im doing, its got a mitsubishi turbo on it, and ive got no banjo bolts for the water lines. Mitsubishi, Pirtek, and the local engineering shop cant help, so i thought Nissan might be worth a try, anyone got some?? I know vg30 trubos have m16 water lines, but i recall reading that you have to drill out some other turbo water lines to fit these, rb20?
  3. Ther was a thread on here a while ago about increasing the dwell on PFC to 1.7ms to suit the splitfires, is it only from the datalogit, or can it be done from the h/c(its been ages since i used one.)I would have thought dwell vs batt voltage would be a no brainer, batt voltage down a little, give it a bit more dwell. If this works as rob says and isnt just a bad translation, i dont see why everyone couldnt tailor their dwell to suit their application, could even set the PFC up to run external bosch coils if the range is big enough(how high can it go?)
  4. Are you sure it wont fit the NEO? Im fairly certain the r33 rb25 and the r34 NEO have the smae bolt parrent for the manifold, and there are some copy manifolsd that fit both? Ohter om pretty sure have done it with the genuine one.
  5. You need to get a tomei (or other)kit, as the valve height of a 25 and 26 is completely different
  6. Maybe the thinking behind this is that if you give the coil enought dwell to produce maximum spark energy all the time, then they will overheat, so i guess you could give it a bit more dwell around peak BMEP/torque, to give it the added spark energy without the fear of cooking the coils, as they aren't getting that dwell much of the time? I remember reading that splitfires like a bit more dwell than standard, so i believe it is possible that they may have a different gauge wiring, combined with a different winding ratio between the primary and secondary circuits, food for thought..., please feel free to diagree
  7. Maybe in future hwen we buy something off the forsale forum, you should post up that you have bought it, i wouldn't hesitate to put a post up in his for sale section, it will end up cheaper for him to pay you back than lose more sales
  8. [ive already answered all the questions above, dont know what you mean by "trust oilers on main bearing trust?" or "26 mains and grinding channel in 30e block?"and ive read the whole thread
  9. If the MAP sensor wasn't plugged in, the motor probably would run, and go through heaps of fuel. The workshop could be correct, as the washdown causes lots of damage to the motor, the fuel doesn't only go out the exhaust, ,it washed the oil off the bores, and breaks down the oil, which wears the crank journals, so to rebuild it to standard would require boring and crank grind, possibly oil pump/cam journal damage. Just because it doesn't make 260rwkw doesnt mean that it wont wear the motor. A second hand rb20 will definately be your cheapest option, and they can be found cheaply in australia on the forum, but till then keep driving it as its unlikely to blow up.
  10. Series five is 1.0 A/R, series 4 is .86 ex, bolt pattern is the same. How much play is there?
  11. Yep, if it feels hot, anything too hot to hald your hand on, and its too hot
  12. Jun or tomei, no offense again, but all the people who have done this conversion and have already added the imformation to the ofrum, why should we bother doing it again and again, search is your friend
  13. Any qualified mechanic with an rta Authority is meant to report any defective vehicles to the rta, you actually aren't meant to release the vehicle back to the customer, it just doesn't happen because we would spend our lives fighting with customers
  14. Never seen a mitsubishi coil gain any spark energy over 4ms, at 6ms they overheat at idle and dont have enough spark time at high rpm, remember at 8000rpm on a wasted spark ignition system, there is only 7.5ms between sparks
  15. No offence, but the easiest part of building a high horsepower rb30/26det is reading the thread, just read 10 pages a night, done in three weeks
  16. I bought a just jap dump pipe and it didn't fit a stagea, we told them it was going on a stagea and now they will only offer a credit, not a refund, which i think is a bit slack.
  17. Gwell is in the options menu, should be a ok, check coil temp when idling, maybe reduce it to 3ms if it gets a bit hot
  18. bump to page 1
  19. 255 or 265/40/R18 interested
  20. Yep. 550cc nismo's are fine for 300rwkw no need for FPR
  21. I have an innovate motorsport LM-1, but they cost about $700, i believe anything less is a waste of time, datalogit.co.nz i believe
  22. CAS, igniter or dodgy wiring on safc(ebc unlikely but possible)
