  1. Sweet pic dude. Yeh they are the endurance caliper with 36mm rotor and 30mm pads. As you can imagine, they never fade. Ever. No ABS on mine, have never used it. Find it kicks in prematurely in the GT-R's and you can brake better if you get your braking zones perfect. On the other hand, it makes it harder, so I'm probably looking to go to something a bit less serious and a bit more street friendly.
  2. Hey mate, they are billet Alcon XF calipers off NASCAR cars a few years back. They lock a tyre at 140km/h. I'm actually looking to downgrade, they are almost too powerful for my limited driving skill!
  3. Wow that looks good. Love the bonnet (and headlights... bastard!!). Can spot some Alcons behind your front rims as well? To answer your question, yup mine is almost strictly a track car. Doesn't see much road duty.
  4. A cheap 50mm PWR one, or something to that effect. Either way, I will be replacing it as soon as funds permit.
  5. I now have one of the best boost controllers on the market, the Blitz Dual SBC Spec R. Unfortunately, it's my wastegate which is letting me down. Simon, we overlayed yours versus mine and yours destroys my setup everywhere. It's on earlier due to the head porting, but yours snaps on boost so much harder. I think once I sort this wastegate issue it will change the midrange dramatically and also carry a few more HP to the top. For now though, I'm going to see how long this $300 2nd hand box lasts... the fact that it lasted the dyno run means it's been good value so far...
  6. lol give my bank balance time to recover after this change in setup first!! I've now taken 2 people for a spin in my car. They both saw the graphs before going for a drive, and said the exact same thing. "It doesn't feel as laggy as it looks on the dyno plot". Would love to have it snapping on boost hard, but I don't think my gearbox would like that...
  7. Nert. We pushed the 35R as far as it would go. We put 28psi into it and a couple of degrees ignition timing, it made 4hp more. 510rwhp on that dyno is as much as the GT35R will make on my car. 586rwhp is as much as the T04Z will make. Both setups will not make any more, no matter what we do. The T04Z should come on a lot harder but thats the fault of the shitty wastegate. Having said that, the wastegate was exactly the same on both combos.
  8. Well... here it is... This is as even of a comparison as we could manage. Bolted off a GT35R (red line) and bolted on a T04Z (blue line). Graph makes it seem like its a laggy bitch, and the T04Z setup is shit... to be honest I'm not sure yet. The Z is so much fun, but not sure if it'll be faster than the 35R on the track (I doubt it). May end up going back to a 35R at some stage, but going to enjoy the extra top end for the time being... RPM limit was increase to 8500 to account for the extra 500+ rpm of lag. Would be a lot better if the wastegate wasn't shit and ramped as hard as it should...
  9. Now don't skimp out on servicing otherwise it'll be the worst financial decision of your life. $120 oil change > $15,000 rebuild. End of the day, being able to afford to buy a GT-R, and being able to afford to OWN a GT-R, are two completely different things. I seriously hope you can do the latter...
  10. Nar, overlapped Scatalotto's. His tromped mine everywhere, but we'll see how it goes with the new boost controller and some cam timing adjustments.
  11. Yeh at this stage it looks like it's going to be about 500rpm difference, but I believe the area under the curve will be greater with the Z. I had a Greddy Profec B II, and I've just ordered a Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R.
  12. Funnily enough, almost a carbon copy of the one just above. On a preliminary tune, it went 540rwhp (~400rwkw) at 19psi. Quite a bit lazier than the 35R though. On the same dyno, the 35R went 510rwhp on 26psi. Am changing boost controller (as we weren't impressed with it's ability to hold boost) and tuning for 25psi next week. When that's done we'll print out a graph overlapping the 35R run with the T04Z run and I'll post it up.
  13. Not anymore I'm out. Car wont be tuned till Monday. FML.
  14. Ditto. Can't see mine making all that much over 500rwhp on a 38 degree day Will be good to see all 3 of us on the same dyno though. Overlapping those graphs will be very interesting
  15. Thats pretty damn impressive. Nice work.
  16. /facepalm BOV's are gayer than Freddie Mercury gargling cum. Stock BOV's work perfectly at 600+hp at the treads.
  17. YES PAUL! Disqualify him so I have a chance of winning
  18. Ring Andy and tell him to take 10 degrees of timing out of it and I'll shout you a carton of the sphincter of the universe
  19. My tuner (Ant Scali) has only just returned from Mt Buller. He was working with Steve on the r35 development. My car WILL be tuned Friday arvo.... then I will post up results as soon as possible.
  20. Yup all valid points, except I'm running a stock gearbox now (after breaking the OS) and it actually makes it feel a lot more responsive than with the gearset. The on/off transition of the 35R isn't bad by any means, just don't think it feels as sharp as a GT30.
  21. Simmo, I know you have had the 35R like I have, but you've used it in a drag application. On the track, I found the 35R to be a bit lazy when coming on/off the throttle. You can disagree all you like, but thats just my experience
  22. Oh snap. ps. on topic, go a GT30R, you don't need massive HP for drift, instead you need lightning throttle response, a 35R will take too long to spool in your application. Fixed.
