  1. Give me a week... Scali's using Natalotto's map as a base for mine, so here's hoping I smash your figure haha
  2. Yeh plenty. Think some are a few pages back. Will post up direct comparison soon enough...
  3. Was just about to post here. No results just yet. As it needs a complete retune anyway, we've taken the opportunity to install a Power FC d-jetro, and get rid of the AFM's. Unfortunately, this makes it no longer a 'bolt off bolt on' situation, but the lack of AFM's shouldn't really effect top end much, just driveability. Power FC arrives next week, hopefully tuned on Thursday/Friday.
  4. Wait, what?? Where??
  5. A well maintained 26 wont just fail if everything is kept reasonably sane. A standard '89 shitter 26 with 140,000kms has done 590rwhp here in Perth, and is still going strong. Keep the boost at 20psi or below, and ignition timing conservative. Usually if a 26 fails, it will be due to the oil pump failing, or a bearing failure due to poor servicing. You might be unlucky enough to bust a piston ring, but don't rebuild it until you really need to.
  6. Stock head, with the only work done for clearance of the 10.8mm cams, and upgraded springs. Valves are standard.
  7. Yoda. We will push it as far as it goes, then back it off a little for the track/street.
  8. Yup, dyno plots are saved and engine combo isn't changing, so it's literally just going to be a bolt off bolt on situation. 0.84 twin scroll T04Z ordered... will be here Friday, fitted Monday, tuned Wednesday.
  9. Haven't ordered it yet, but will do on Monday. Should be here by Wednesday, tuned Friday. I'm still wary about it. Have a feeling the extra lag wont be worth the small increase in top end. We'll see what it makes though...
  10. I'm about to bolt on a T04Z with .81 rear housing, so we will have a direct comparison, on the same dyno with the same engine, between a GT35R and T04Z. Should be finished by next week.
  11. Mate of mine has an RB25 Neo tuned with Nistune by Sean. Drove very well, and no ping. Pretty impressed for what it is. As for "hardcore antilaggers".... don't start this shit again. Antilag has been quiet about this issue for a long time now, and just letting people discover "Nissan manufacturing faults" themselves to avoid calls of being prejudice. At the end of the day, every workshop has stories. Some have more than others. People don't just make this shit up, as there is no vested interest from anyone except someone who may lose money/business from the release of information. Pick someone you trust and be done with it.

    R35 Gtr's!

    Couple more:
  13. The car has to be homologated in Australia before you can run it. Since nobody has a Spec-V here, you can't run a stock GT-R as a spec-V. Good to see Steve win even when up against a modified GT-R. Pretty pathetic that Tony Quinn didn't even get out of his car after the last stage to congratulate Steve, when everyone else (including his navigator) did.

    R35 Gtr's!

Steve's new R35 made it's debut today at Targa West prologue:
  15. Gary, it was an R34 N1 motor, there was no collar. I agree with excessive clearance, but as I said, this is how it came straight from Nissan.... less than impressed.
  16. I don't think anyone is saying that every N1 pump is going to fail, more that the chances of a failure are higher than with other pumps. As for it being a build problem, that would imply Nissan can't build their own motors.... I'm sure I've posted this before, but this was my N1 pump off an 8,000km old R34 N1 motor that barely ever saw limiter or "hard driving": To me, that points towards either poor grade materials used in the pump, or Nissan not knowing how to build their own N1 spec motors. I'd say the former is more likely...
  17. Yup, but after 6 months of the car being off the road, I'm not touching it again for a while, so will have to make do with that comparison. If I get the motivation I will fork out for a 6boost manifold and see if that makes a difference. The manifold is the cheap solution, the head is not so cheap. I'm hoping that with the boost dropping off, that indicates a manifold issue.
  18. Manifold hasn't been touched yet. Simple china shitter ceramic coated and bolted on. It has a gasket leak on the exhaust side anyways, so the manifold has to come off. May see about modifying it while its off.
  19. How long is a piece of string? I made 560rwhp then 510rwhp on two dyno's only a week apart. If you're chasing figures, a GT35R isn't for you. If you're chasing a great track/street turbo then..... well.... I rate it.
  20. Cerbera's car has been parted out for about a year, so the T04Z run is a little old. We're stumped as to why it's restricted. The only thing we can think is the head I'm using (off a 34 N1 motor) has a few imperfections in it which is causing turbulence. I'm using a china manifold, but the same type on Natalotto's car did 630hp with a T04Z. Exhaust is fine, intake is free, plenum is stock, cams are pretty big (270x10.8). Disco, I'm using the GCG T04 rear for the 35. It's a T4 flanged 0.84 housing. I don't think the rear housing is the issue to be honest.
  21. Just got back from the workshop. Compared my GT3582 setup (blue line) with a Cerbera's T04Z setup (green line), which were both run up on the same Dyno Dynamics dyno in shootout mode. Not sure if Simon's had any issues, but my setup is strangled HARD in the top end. So much so, that adding 5psi and 2 degrees ignition timing gained me a whole 1hp up top. Did gain about 30hp through the mid range though, but I obviously have a large restriction in my inlet/exhaust which isn't allowing any more than 500hp flow. Anyways, enough ricers excuses, here is the comparison:
  22. I guess you're going to tell us our tracks are downhill as well? The T04Z equipped car ran 133mph in a full weight 32 GTR with china tyres.
  23. T51R, S13, should be good for a low 9-second death.
  24. Personally I thought the twins would make a lot more top-end than the single. I'm guessing they need a bit of headwork and optimising before they sing a song.
