  1. got any pics of it age, VVT?, intake manifold?, exhaust manifold? throttle body?, lines?
  2. yeh i also thought it would be to follow the trend of the VLt, low compression, high boost, style of modding
  3. get hypereutectic pistons, light weight, less stress get a decent tune dont let it png, decent aftermarket ECU, a cooler and a normal boost level should be ok.. so i am hoping some of the VL boyz i have spoken to reckon that everyone is crazy for using stock NA pistons with an 8.3:1 CR.... they say that more than 15psi on NA pistons will break them etc i also noticed that they are more inclined to shave the pistons back to 8:1 where as the skyline guys want to move closer to 9:1 .....
  4. and you cant run N2O with them as the excess heat will melt the silicon
  5. nice work joel! i assume this is for the RB30det build up. i see that there is only a kit for the RB30et and not the RB30e... compression ratio ??
  6. i'd like to use the RB20 plenum too for the "stock" look along with the RB20 cam valley/ignitor cover Nissan 2000 24 valve :) can the RB30t water and oil pumps be used? would these be better than the 25t pumps ? also if i had a bare block RB30 where would i fit idlers and tensioners? what sort of $$$ are they worth ? *bring back the old thread *
  7. i have seen them mounted both ways, mine is mounted black side up... the silver side look slike a heat sink, so facing it upwards away from the heat of the motor would maybe help the efficency to dissapate heat.?
  8. wouldnt be a complete waste would be fun... try maybe the MX7 gear box... that is the VL turbo gear box.... but would be quite hard to get a hold of. maybe also just look for an engine package... i seen one for $4500 from an importer
  9. i read somewhere that twin plate clutches? plus Rb20's = instant problems ... is this true what sort of clutch would be good to use with the RB20 box to handle the extra power? thanks Dave
  10. what are those of you with R32's or R31's doing for a gearbox? is anyone going to keep the Rb20 box or is the only alternative to fork out the cash for the RB25 box?
  11. 1st day of uni holidays and i am bored already... time to play vice city
  12. i spent 3 hours cleaning my car today, rims are nice and shiney, would make a ricer cream himself the car better appreciate me now
  13. anyone here play guitar?
  14. why did my car have to come with an RB20det
  15. mm lots of head!
  16. bel you need alcohol and a night out with some mates, then a trip in a nice fast car, that might make u happy, if not it'll put a grin on your face
  17. my HR31 came from factory with an RB20det... so would it still be classed as an R31 with the largest engine capacity as 3L also does the RB20det runners and plenum bolt straight on to the RB25 head.. if so this would give a "stock" RB20det look
  18. for the 32 and 31 owners... what are the legalities in respect to displacement increase? i know this was discussed by the 33 owners but i am concered that upgrading from a 2L to a 3L may cause problems... does anyone know information about this, specifically for QLD?
  19. how about u suggest a price you want .... i'll offer $350
  20. i need more power whats it like stepping up from 152kw to 192 kw MM2death ?
  21. hmmm interesting i think i need an RB25 now
  22. how much do your r33's weigh ??
  23. i think what you mean is missing is the oi return line from the Turbo!. this line gets plumbed into the sump i think?... i think you can get your sump "spiked" to allow for an oil return line to be plumbed in do all the R31 skyline blocks have the oil return ?
  24. should i build an RB25/30 combo, find a cheap RB25det, or bolt a HKS2530 to my current RB20det?
  25. can i have your dead rb26 for free?
