  1. the high flow came with the car so no idea of $$ spent. yeh get a front mount ASAP.. just cruising to uni and back today inlet temps were 39-41degrees... this would be attributed to heatsoak on the temp probe too. But still fullboost in 3rd gear saw 35deg inlet air temps. So not too bad really... on a 27-29 degree day
  2. yeh i think RBS13's idea is to have a mirror image of the plenum... not a bad idea if it could be made to work.

  4. yep that sounds about right if you wanna start building it now give me $800 and you can have a Series 2 block with AC compressor, RB25det head with DE cams and for $100 you can have full wiring loom and R33 ECU..... no sales pitch there

  6. Hand controller... what hand controller Didnt the FMIC give something away?? But yeh its not that fast yet. Turbo is a high flowed R32 unit with steel wheels so i can run more boost. Hopefully i will have a TD06-19c soon
  7. yep interesting and looks nice. i think the design for most front facing plenums is to be tapered at the back... to reduce the amount of airflow to the rear cylinders to try and even up the air flow. Would be good to hear from someone knowledgeable in this area as i have always been intrigued with the design of plenums. -Dave-
  8. just another thought... ***For discussion only*** wouldnt the factory plenum be designed to distribute the air flow from its orginal position in the best manner possible ? by changing the inlet, that would have some affect on the air flow characteristics Dont jump at me, i am hear to learn too and provide discussion. and TonyGtst i think aftermarket front facing plenums such as the Trust item would be flow tested and made to suit the forward facing application... hence lots of R&D
  9. its mostly coming from my wallets point of view. Uni students cant afford to fix things that go bang. and its not starvation of the rear cylinders its leaning out due to too much air flow... cyl 1 might be starved of air. But hey i am not an expert in plenums and i doubt anyone here is, unless you go an flow bench them and provide results. /me thinks Warpspeed has his own flowbench..... like i said.. i would like a front facing plenum too Dave
  10. i'd like to consider a mod like this.... but the thoughts of leaning out thre rear cylinders and losing a piston is jsut too great...

Damn lying number plates my plates are SLO-31 yeah at Kedron, Just before JB HiFi there is a tiny car yard that seems to have a few imports... behind them is this place. Went there on Monday and got the quote to clean some new injectors. I think i can get a better price elsewhere tho. their name includes the words Kedron Injection Services thats all i can remember Cheers Dave

RX7 CRASH!!!!!!! i was the very first car there!!! stupid stupid traffic controller.. i'm cruising along.. i see the old mate wave me to slow down... watchin the speedo, slowing down... see old mate wave a car to cross the road... notice anoter car coming in opposite direction. things sorta go slow motion... glass, plastic and sh!t fly everywhere... its all silent... i hit the brake hard so the other car doesnt come near me. Both drivers jump out of their cars looking ready to fight... both realise their passengers are in pain by the looks of it.... both cars would have been write offs for sure... Damn lucky i was 5 seconds slower or else i woulda copped a car into mine!!! anyway.. jambo was cool. My mates VL went like a piece of poo. big time lean outs and managed a 12 still. another mate pulled 13.15 from an L20b and got 2nd in ALL MOTOR. His bro pulled consistnat 11.04's all day in the orange datto wagon. Dave

  16. $22 per injector at Kedron Injection Services or something like that. Thats for cleaning and flow testing You still have stock management right? There may be a chance that you are getting overfueling and carbon is building up on the spark plugs. I managed to foul a whole set in 1 week due to a bad tune....
  17. well i think its probably on 12:1 then... i remember seeing a 14 flash up on the autronic. tho i have never heard my car ping at all. Which is a good thing

  19. how much power are you pulling now bbenny ? was looking at a 2530, but might also have a TD06-19c lined up.

  23. nice nice My current hi flow is sitting on 11psi now looking to upgrade to a larger turbo and run 1bar or so.. maybe up to 18psi. fuel should be ok with GTR spec injectors
