  1. Lindsay, My car is in desperate need of a tune so I don't think my specs are very helpful. 310ps @ all 4 wheels on 1.0 bar boost with boost controller, air filters, exhaust, HKS twin plate clutch w/ lightened flywheel, mechanical lsd in rear, GReddy pipe kit and mines rom. Best time is a 13.2 @ 108mph w/ 2.0 sec 60ft (lousy I know). Car is getting far too much fuel though. Timing was put back to stock after engine rebuild so I wouldn't damage anything, and fuel mixtures set a bit rich. Now ready for a proper tune and a bit more timing. I'm hoping for a mid 12 after that.
  2. Thanks It made my night haha (for the record, 13.2 @ 108 mph). I know I shouldn't expect too much from it when it's not running properly, but my heart is set on a 12 haha!!! Once it's tuned it should be similar to rhianne & jeremy's. Was nice to meet everyone last night, I had loads of fun Thanks for organising it!
  3. The nearest BP is on Gilmore ave, which runs off thomas road. From Anketell you would go back to the roundabout (Abercrombie) and turn right, follow to end and turn left onto Thomas, right at the traffic lights onto Gilmore and follow to the BP. It's not very far from the plex, probably 2 or 3 km's....
  4. My car would overfuel at 5000rpm. He drove it out of the licensing centre nice n slow, as soon as he pulled out onto orrong rd, i heard it retard, and i kept hearing it retard until he finally realised he couldn't thrash it I'd take Denver's advice, jump in the car then give them the keys....if they think they can take off before you get in, they will. Hope it goes well
  5. My car was licensed with a twin plate no worries. Because of the noise they make though, the guy that drove mine sat still with the clutch engaged for a good 3 minutes, think he thought it was the thrust bearing on the way out or something....When he realised it wasn't that, he just drove off. Oh yeah, turn your boost down. Way down. They like to thrash the pi$$ out of performance cars....I could hear my car and another R32 GTR having the tits thrashed off them all around welshpool..... Thankfully mine was running really rich and kept overfuelling, so not much fun to be had there haha.
  6. I saw stanton warriors live last year their set was great. I'm still pretty new to the breaks kinda scene. I have also seen aquasky live they were wicked as well
  7. Tickets are well beyond the $100 each mark now adrian (from what I hear they're around $400 each). It sucks that i'm missing KK, I missed them earlier in the year and now i'm missing them again
  8. If Krafty Kuts aren't playing there, then it's not a better line up IMO
  9. Hey, I know it's unlikely, but I'm chasing 2 tickets for Breakfest. My mate and I had somebody holding tickets for us, then he decided to sell them out from underneath us....If anyone has any that they are willing to sell, or knows anybody...Please PM me or email me: [email protected] Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum but I wasn't sure where exactly to put it....
  10. I think Sammie has a pretty good attitude. He's been driving for years now, and it doesn't matter whether it's a go kart or what, it's all experience even if it is fairly basic. Some experience is better than no experience. He's planning on doing courses so he learns how his car handles and how to drive it properly etc... The thought of a youngen with a turbo scares the hell out of me. Not just for them, but because MOST of them are a menace on the road. They just don't have the experience to control a car like that. P-platers in general scare me, because most of them can't drive their way out of a wet paper bag. Something to consider for the guy that wanted to buy an old R32 - There is ALOT of maintenance up front & early on buying a car that age. Trust me. I bought a 1989 Skyline GTR, and it has chewed up pretty much all of my spare money. They are old. All the rubber bits have worn out and need to be replaced. It has no doubt had the balls thrashed off it and not been looked after....Prepare to spend a good year just fixing the crap that no one else could be bothered fixing, before you start modding it and turning it into a showcar.
  11. Don't think i'm coming anymore, I've been talked into doing a modelling comp instead haha. I've never done one before kinda freakin out.... Hope you all have a good time, guess i'll meet ya's at the drag night instead
  12. I was trying to use a somewhat inconspicuous word lol. City cruises are ok...I get a little bit bored of them. I prefer driver's cruises if you know what I mean... But then again if you have a fairly large turnout of cars, it's easier to keep them under control with a "city" type cruise, and less chance of accidents. I'm coming either way!! Just curious
  13. That's why you need a nav. I get really pi$$ed off following people who get lost. I can't stand useless navigators either. Lol. Reading a map is not that hard hey....Also keep in mind that I don't know many people from here and i'm shy so rocking up on my own isn't the greatest idea lol. Are we doing any "fun" roads on this cruise or is it a city type cruise? Missy i'm sure you can jump in lots of differen't people's cars throughout the cruise if you want to whore haha. You can ride in my R for a leg if you like. Left front coilover is leaking again though (it's frustrating when someone doesn't do their job properly). Brakes should be sweet as coz I just overhauled the calipers on the weekend. Car still has a boost leak though so can't have too much fun *grr*
  14. I might come to the cruise. Have to find a navigator though!
  15. I thought it would be a bit rude to join in if I wasn't a paid member. I read that first post a while ago and I wasn't on it!!! Madness....Ok...Well I guess i'm coming haha!
  16. If you get stuck for a last person then let me know, I will join up (with SAU) and make number 20 for you. Car has a boost leak so hopefully once that has been taken care of I will be able to do a better time. It would also explain the overfuelling....I thought it had one ages ago, but dismissed it as me being paranoid! Haha. 2 weeks notice would be good, if I can help you out just let me know.
  17. I have a HKS twin plate and the guy from Auto Clutch in Osborne Park said they could rebuild it no worries (haven't had it done as the problem went away). He will probably try and talk you into a big single plate clutch though hehe. I got their number from white pages online....They were very patient and helpful with me over the phone.
  18. Sorry, I can't help you here as I have platinums. I know nothing about iridiums....Hopefully someone else can help you
  19. If you run 1.1 the spark blows out all the time. I run the equivalent of stock boost for daily driving and 1.0 bar for high boost. I tried leaving them at 1.1 and it was just a joke, that's why I had mine re-gapped to be close to the old ones that were in it. Repco re-gap them while you wait it only takes a few minutes and they don't charge you anything for it.
  20. I just had that yesterday. For about the last week, whenever I started my car from work (and only work - weird, perhaps coz I park in the sun and things were getting hot? Dunno...) my 4wd light would come on and wouldn't go off unless I turned the car off and re-started. I was at a driving arvo yesterday, and when i went out on the track I noticed that around all the corners my front torque guage was on 0 (it is only a sprint track, but still), and under acceleration the guage wasn't showing what it normally did. That whole run the car felt like a rwd. Luckily I had stopped and bought some ATF (I got genuine nissan, just incase it was a special blend) on the way, topped up the reserviour in the boot as it was about 2 inches below the minimum line. Next run felt a little bit better and the run after that it seemed to be back to normal. The min and max lines are only 1cm apart though which seems a little....silly!
  21. If someone runs into your car while you're nearby, or in your car, you should most definately jump out and get all of their details before they have a chance to take off. If you can chase them down or park them in, then even better. Just don't leave your keys in the ignition and engine running, coz it would be just your luck that someone would jump in and steal your car. Don't expect anyone to stop - as some of us have found out, if people can get away with something, they will. It's always best to be prepared for the worst and it not happen, than to expect everyone to be as honest as you and be let down. If I saw anyone damage another person's car in any way, i'd take down as much detail as possible. If we don't start looking out for eachother, it's only going to get worse. Atleast that way you can leave their rego & vehicle description (time, date & location) with the poor person / their vehicle so that they have a hope of having these costs recovered with the aid of the police. If I saw someone damage anyone else's car and drive off, i'd be very tempted to take off after them and give them a lecture. Coz i'm really sick of having to deal with claims like this!! (work for insurance broker). Really sorry to hear about that Rhianne, coz your schmick new paint was awesome!!
  22. 310ps @ all 4 wheels on 1.0 bar of boost. Has a mines rom though (in the standard ecu), and it's starting to become very obvious that it does not suit the aussie climate at all I raced a completely stock R32 GTR wed night, he couldn't get out of the 14's, I did a pretty lousy launch and he doesn't launch at all, I was on low boost (0.75bar) did a 14.0 he did a 14.5 and managed to beat me past the finish line. I had him until 3rd then I dunno wtf happened but he just reeled me in and it was a really close battle over the line!! My best time on low boost is a 13.7... But yeah....stuff like that....My car is pretty stock, has a GReddy pipe kit (in the engine bay), 3" exhaust with hiflow cat and 3.5" from the cat back....Mechanical 1.5 way lsd in the rear...and a boost controller. I didn't think it was a splendid time for the car....I was chasing a high 12, or atleast a 13 flat. As soon as the night set in and it started to get chilly, it just retarded more and more every run I had to put the boost right down, 0.8 bar was the highest I could run without it over fuelling It is set to run a little rich at the top anyway, because the engine was rebuilt earlier in the year and it was a bit of a safety measure to make sure I didn't do any damage. Oh yeah my highest mph was 102.(???)
  23. If i've replaced the ecu and had it tuned by (whenever it happens), then i'll come. I took my car down the wednesday night gone, figured coz of the fuel shortage there wouldn't be as many ppl, and I got 8 runs!! Best was a 13.3, a little disappointed but not too bad considering it's the second time i've been to the drags (and I don't practice on the street at all - paranoid about cops). Car isn't too happy with the rom that's in the ecu now though so i'm not going to bother going back until that has been changed.
  24. I bought a genuine nissan oil filter as it was only $8 or something....I bought NGK Platinum spark plugs from Repco and had them re-gapped to 0.8 as the old ones were standard NGK's at 0.75 / close enough!! Unfortunately they all come pre-gapped to 1.1 these days. Haven't had a problem with any of it on my R32 GTR.
  25. I bought a large from Repco back in March. It's too long but it's the right depth so i'm happy with it. I don't use them but it has the suction cups to hold it to the windscreen, and elastic to keep it folded up nicely when not in use. It was pretty cheap - not more than $15 that's for sure!
