bodywise they are the same- interior /electrics - entirely different. see common faults for the coupe thread for key issues. the later car has less hassles but cost is higher. as wtih the jap suff don't expect a quick fix on the navi system or a language change. when the electronics do break they are not cheap to fix. the early radio is a good case. if it breaks it takes the HVAC system with it. later versions are the same.

the Ipod price is wrong it was $299 for the unit. may as well mention the rest of what adam told you as well that part I'm heavily involved in. if you decide to do the car then you will meet me as I'll probably be the other person along side adam working on it.

no line in option in the ADM car. Ipod was FM based. (alpine AX10.) I'm working on a ipod solution for them but don't hold your breath. I'm also chasing schematics for the unit thats in there (I have the model info here.) so I can work out the line/video in stuff.

see above post I'm not trying to be a hard arse here. I simply spent a LOT of time under this car and for now the information stays with me. I will say this - if you tap the exisxting system you will screw up the lap timer and clock functions as those are GPS derived.

they will play one hd. all of them do. as for the original question - I get that AT least 3 times a week. buy an external DVD unit and away you go. I sell the input leads for these units and if you need a DVD to suit I sell that as well. flick a PM across with what you need and I'll help you

bring brisbane back on line then.. its 100 customers as you seem to think and to be honest a lot of people up here are simply a little put off with how this was handled. myself included. not only have I needed to rearrange metrolink it damn near cost me a $60K contract! in regard to the whole situation and brisbane , I know mark had info on it as did terry. though the story I has was the gear was pulled out and sold off for the brisbane network. MLB was fire damaged as I understand and terry was there (when I last spoke to him) assessing things. care to clarify.

nope. its all one big board behind that panel. its OEM buttons (IE new controller) or nix.
