  1. same as Brockaz said, thanks for the compliments, it is always nice to hear from someone you don't know, makes you realise you made some correct decisions! Ride height is practical, doesn't rub or scrub or scrape anywhere, but I'm going to wind it down a little just to see how it looks, probably won't handle aswell though. Oh, and its Midnight Purple, not black, bad day for photos.....will get more when the sun finally comes out up here!! Brockaz, chuck the Works on and get a few pics up.....should look great, what colour rims?
  2. Stokesy, yeah its real, made by the previous owner when he worked at Custom Carbon in Brisbane.
  3. Here's my GTR with a few new mods I've done since buying it. Going to try winding the coilovers down a bit to get the tyre a bit closer to the guard for a tougher stance, but might put the stock plastic front lip on first to save smashing the carbon one! Bad day for pics, bad light and cloud doesn't show the Midnight Purple or the bronze of the Volks too well......but you get the idea! Will get some better ones with the new ride height.
  4. so, you have a new M3, or an RS4? and you think the new GTR will be better than either by alot?
  5. even cheaper option, buy a 32/33 and spend $20k on it and have lots left! I'd buy a RS4 for R35 GTR kinda money, no question!
  6. agreed, moreso on a looks basis...they are very sweet looking cars!
  7. and I guess thats what does make the scene diverse....will be good to see once done!
  8. not a fan of kits on GTR's, takes away the GTR-ness and makes it look more like a kitted GTS.....
  9. well out of all the pictures posted here, none of them look the same to me. Its a matter of chosing the right mods to differentiate from the others, not many GTR's I see look the same, similar yes, but not the same. what would you do to make them different?
  10. post a picture of it now.....then we can see whats done, and give some opinions on what needs doing. I reckon 33 GTR's are made tuff pretty simply, but its all in the wheels(colour and make), stance(not fully hektik lowered though), and tidy little add on's, like clear indicators to get rid of the orange ones, a few neat carbon add ons, like wing parts etc. All of the above mine has, plus Ganador's, and all that makes for a pretty simple yet tidy package which isn't too ricer-ish nor too understated. Not saying mine is the tuffest around by any means, but I like it the way it is now and I guess I wouldn't have done the new mods to compliment the existing ones that were done if I didn't think that they would help with the overall look I was chasing. you asked for pics, so here are a few of mine, bad day for pics within regards to lighting, but you get the idea.
  11. its all f/glass, about 4-6kgs, I haven't looked at it that well, but I don't think I have seen any cracks in the paint!
  12. looks great, nice colour 33 GTR is the pick of all GTR's I reckon, yeah I'm biased, but they have always been the best IMO because they aren't as in your face, they are sleak, yet tuff, angry and agressive with the right mods, yet still remain classy looking. 34's are desirable purely because they are the newest, I think they look great, and I'd buy one if I had the money, but only because its the newest, not because I like it over the others. 32's are old, simple as that! Tuff(?), yes, but only when modded right, but waaaaaay to 80's and just don't have all that much appeal as far as I'm concerned.....its an age thing mainly as they don't have much refinement for regular use, especially not for daily use and the interior is lacking, but its also a looks thing, kinda ugly from the outside. 31's, ahhhh, not even in the league of GTR's and shouldn't even be compared, sorry!
  13. my decisions were between an S15 and the GTR, obviously I went the GTR. I had owned an S14 a few years ago a loved it, but the GTR won me over and I didn't even look at any S15's. As far as a newer car goes, if thats what you want, S15, but for similar money(maybe a little more) I'd go a 33 GTR!
  14. I can't either, the amount of people who run around wingless(with the ugly drop from the guard to bootlid), or with similar setups but not neat and moulded, I'd have thought this would have been a popular choice for people wanting to get rid of the factory wing setup! oh well...... + bump
  15. good work, I will now be going to buy bright whites/blues for my GTR with that info!
  16. ok, well I could be interested. How many klms on the turbos and were they new when you fitted them? and how much bosst was run through them?
  17. did you make the 371kw with those injectors and front pipes? also when you say front pipes, do you mean dumps, or pipe from dump to cat? I might be keen on some of the gear once pics are up!
  18. anyone keen on this? The f/glass version of just the spoiler add on sells for about $300-400 and this way you get a spare bootlid, and a much neater moulded bobtail for a few extra $$$. Price is negotiable as I'd like it out of my garage. A few pics below, not the best as were taken in my garage, but you get the idea.
  19. Yep, as I said, can do, just didn't get time this morning but thought I'd chuck the ad up to generate interest today and will take some tomorrow morning to throw up!
  20. Item: R33 GTS/GTR bootlid, fibreglass with moulded bobtail wing if you want the wingless look, with a neat little wing, but don't want that ugly drop from the rear guards to the bootlid, then this is perfect, plus you'll have a second bootlid to swap between! Age: ? Condition: good Price: $500 To Fit: any R33 Location: Brisbane Contact: PM or 0402842548 Comments: The bootlid has the bolts moulded in, it is currently midnight purple and would just need a simple respray to get it to your colour. It came with my GTR and I can't see myself using it as I think I prefer the stock boot/spoiler, and its taking up space in my garage. If you want the wingless look, with a neat little wing, but don't want that ugly drop from the rear guards to the bootlid, then this is perfect, plus you'll have a second bootlid to swap between! Can take some pics of the actual thing for anyone interested but it looks pretty similar to this setup below, but heaps better as the spoiler is moulded in and it looks alot neater.
