  1. People who sit several car lengths behind the car in front of them at the lights, blocking other people who could make their way into the turn lanes if the 'tards only moved up a few inches. Ok, not several car lengths but if there is 1m space into a turning lane, your the last car in line as a set of lights and the retard behind you decides they can squeeze their beamer through inching along in a slow sideswipe, well thats just excellent. I ALWAYS make sure that if there isn't enough room to get a car through comfortably, I sit back enough so that the genius can see that they can't, even if that means sitting up to a f'k'n meter from the car infront of me.
  2. That was certainly a public road, if you're from nsw and don't recognise it, theres something wrong with you. That road is quiet and great fun to drive, but I seriously doubt it's ever been blocked off for these sorts of efforts. Shame, it is one of those perfect places for an event, I know I would certainly attend! current affairs program full of airy trumped up crap, really. Say it isn't so. How often can you watch a regular "news" show and not just be thinking, what bs. The best way to deal with this crap is to not have to wipe your ears with toilet paper afterwards by not watching in the first place giving them ratings.
  3. The thing wasn't spooled most of the track an it was traming like a bish an how shit was the track / rebound.... thing looked like it was practically airborne over the ripples in the track just before a few corners.
  4. Last year was a 2 make washout. This year you had fairly evens start but the political powers re bmw and feza got all stocky over not winning every race.   8. It is in fact reducing in overall numbers, has been the last 2-3 years and that is a LARGE decrease given the increase in population used to measure against. THe leading killers / Causes of death of australian's on a yearly basis is by far tobaco related with 49% of the pie chart. The second is alcohol related with 38%. If you take into account ALL forms of death recorded in australia. For the 3rd it is motor vehicle related incidents. This is not something to ignore, this is why there is so much in anti smoking campaigns and road campaigns. Alcohol's related is mostly from being run over which leads into vehicle accident though it's usually the fact the drunk is not driving hence why it's not clasified as a vehicular. Our govt is actively trying to get you to not smoke, not do stupid things while drinking, infact the new laws that have come in to prevent you doing stupid shit on the drink and they have always been cracking down on P platers, because they are the motorist with big red P signs on them saying, HEY I am in the most statistically likely age group to have an accident. The 18-25 age group is almost 50% of all accidents per year when compared with the entire age range in the community of drivers. 18-2(4/5) are 50% of all accidents when compared with ALL the age ranges in the remaining 25 - 75+ ranges. This sort of information fuels strategic desicisions and tactical implementations. It's a car. 2) largely due to the stupid 4.3 diff ratio, the manual gearbox 1 st and overdrive 5th gearing can be somewhat frustrating - first gear gets you only about one or 2 car lengths before you have to get second (unless you want to go to near redline every time you start off) and then when in 5 th cruising on freeway your doing over 3000 revs at only 110km /hr -- when its clear the engine could easily run at 110 at almost half those revs - even my VY Commodore cruises silently and effortlessly at 110 at less than 2000 revs - so in my opinion the R34 is just revving away on the freeway at 3000 for no good reason - a ridiculous situation- why did Nissan not provide a 3.2 diff ratio option? 1st to 5th are fine. The lack of a 6th gear given the ratio's employed is what pisses me off. An extra gear with the spacing they have would have been perfect but then you wouldn't be able to instantly push the pedal a little be on boost and able to overtake, you would have to drop a cog for the same effect. It's a bit of give an take. Personally I would pref the ability to cruise for long periods without hearing the eng rev so loud all be it off boost but 3k off boost is still to freaking loud in my opinion for a highway haul. My car is a T not an R so in theory it's main aim is to be a GT car rather than a track car homologated to the road. In this case it fails. TUrning circle is horendous.

  11. The mileage for the red (1994) Skyline is 40,000km the mileage for 1997 Skyline is 50,000 km. Will be absolute BS. all 2 door R33's will have HICAS get the manual, dont be a poof. ofcoarse thats only if it's for enjoying driving and not the straight line only or traffic whore. toyo soarers were made out of galvanised parts and wont be rusting though their front suspension commonly requires replacement near the 100k mark according to their enthusiasts... and finding a manual soarer is rare as hen's teeth. As stated not the greatest handling vehicle without mucho $$$ but a comfy big GT it is. the "sporty" 2.5 TT is the same as the donk in the Gen 3 supras. Personally identify what you want a car for, then purchase the one that is in your budget that best achieves these results OR the one that takes your fancy the most. When it comes to the actual buying that particular model of choice, then use your head and not your heart. Good Luck buddy.. Searching is your friend.

Your looking at the wrong cars if you want fuel consumption... some old toyo 16v rolla or more so pretty much any honda will do better in this area until you get an R and flaw it everywhere like you probably will since your young. Wrx's got an extra syncro every gear from 96-97 onwards until 00 hence they dealt with teenagers smashing gears + anyone else in continous high rpm use. the first gear in wrx's get called weak because people dumping the clutch after they've gotten more powaaaaaaa and a new harder clutch installed twist them apart. Hard to think why that's happening with 4 3-4 wheels putting power down. Wrx's are far more common than many other AWD's so their nuisances are definetly better known. STI models were better at dealing with the power delivery but they had their limits also. Out of the options given the 6sp 200sx would be the best for cruising. The 6sp isnt as weak as some claim they just have been noted to fail at over 400hp... It is also the most expensive out of you selections.
  13. Did anyone catch the car show review? Basically I'll sum it up for you... it did a 7:28 on the ring. It surprised us (commentator) want one. reference to 110k purchase price. That was it. Nothing else. Not even a flying lap etc. V short. "No wonder that guy isn't doing much after wheel of fortune", (shameless ripoff from guy I don't know well).
  14. Hmm... I'm a wierdo... my BOV is plummed back with a bigger pipe to make less sound... My 3" exhuast isnt the quietest but it sounds like a fart can on an excel when idling and mid revs is just a drone.... sounds fugn aces with WOT.... like an old 70's turbo F1 car only way not... AND... I f..g love it. trust me... any extra noise you get in your car will only serve to shit you in the long term.... specially if you cruise any distance.... unless you can tune it out.... Oh yea... I don't get a second look from police unless their in the mood to make trouble for anyone in particular...

  18. if you want an R... like we all did.. buy it... you will ultimately wish you had. 33's are a cheap way into a well balanced car. Will take money to get the performance you will want. chassis rigidity, 34 gtt's are 'better'... 33's feel sloppy as a wet fish without tensioning... SERIOUSLY.... being better isnt exceptionally hard... 33 vs 34 engines total output is not hte story... stock for stock a 34 will JUST beat a 33. the 34 will be more fuel efficient throughout the rev range making more average power throughout that same range. p.s. they are all second hand cars... as clarkson said and is quite accurate actually.... they have all been wound back somewhere around dubai..
  19. agreed plugs + possible shitty contact on your ecu.... shouldn't take long to crank... by the second yank on the starter should fire.... My plugs are shiz atm and she still fires within 1-2 seconds. Check the contacts on the stuff under your parcel shelf from the boot. Could just be the ecu re-learning shizness of the fuels in auz.
  20. more wieght = more force = more heat = more wear + the condition known as fade. I have never come across brakes that didnt give you SOME warning before they are useless... Im not saying it's impossible.. ie... really short ammount of chomp before your foot hits the floor.. but usually you start to notice that pedal is sinking deeper... some brakes... the travel is that far that you just notice.. im pushing the same ammount but she isnt slowing down as fast... How competitive do you want to be on your occasional track day... how occasional is your track day and how many laps are you chasing before she starts to fail... because there are many systems that will all fail at different rates... Ever felt your power steering start to go coming into a long corner with a tight end chaser... re turn 1 + turn 2 @ ec? Fun times + sand/mud/grass to ensue depending how much you manage to turn. most frustrating... fugn clutch gets to hot and starts to slip... not even a hard launch coming out of pits... 3k just before your turby thinks about turning... an walla... free spin not 3m infront of the official... still remember turning red as with the bastard laughing his ass off... no oil dropped.. no worries! decide whether you want a car that will stand up to 3 laps or 9 laps... forget 45 minute sprints at full tilt too... unless you wana pay/play... (interchangeable here).
