  2. ... what utter shit... if they can sell it at 70-80k .. which will most definetly be at profit (obviously) then the only reason they can sell it for DOUBLE the price here is the fact that sufficient people are willing to pay exhorbitant prices for the car. The same reason we (australians) pay more for everything is simple, it hasnt changed in quite some time... WE EXPECT to pay mor for everything... what is industry going to keep thier prices low.... yea that'll ever happen... the perception we will pay more is what the problem is... obviosuly they can produce and deliver tihs vehicle at a decent price... but we will pay double for ideas like these... that we SHOULD be paying more... I have yet to hear any reason why we should.. if they are released over 80k here I dead set hope they fail misserably. I think it's rediculous.... btw I would love to enjoy this vehicle... but money has value to me and i bloody hate this trumped up crappy aus market pricing shiz... seriously.. our market is utter crap with laws designed to protect a few big boys THAT ARENT AUSTRALIAN!!! the whole point was to protect the LOCAL industry... tel me... what local industry... we have assembly plants .. though GM + associated group are using some local designs .. thats it... exclusivety? go for something exotic that is made out of expensive materials that is so overly engineered its atleast almost worth 1/3 the price and well your brand name means allot to you.. oh wait.. its a nissan... wtf... price it 80-90 and make a killing... it's not like 80-90% of people COULD spend that on a car.. let alone would want to spend it on a 2 door .. or an all out performance oriented vehcile.. even if it does way 3/4 a tonne vehicle.... Why do you lot think it would cost so much more to deliver to aus.. they already do deliver cars to aus reasonably.... the car is by all means legal to drive here.. short of hte red tape for any new model..... oh wait.. it should be exclusive? like a million other people wont own it too? there isnt a single reason this car cant be priced similarly to EVERY other country...... rediculous... aus dealer's charge an extra fortune in markup because no one wants to buy new... because the overly rediculous markups.. cycle of crap.
  3. This ... is ... oddly ... painful ... agreeing ... and ... not ... arguing ... with ... scathing. Are you guys just completely blinded.... the thing about gtr(s)... They were RelativelY cheap for the performance... they got that performance from thier "newer, better" tech.. now... lets stick with the old tech because why? its heavy and old... but atleast it made less power....? The r35 looked at from the point of view of another evolution of the GTR is an improvement in almost every way... except as the same with all the evolutions so far.. is heavier to comply with new standards and "cleaner" well... same thing yea? all gtrs are a bit heavy anyways.... ask any owner punting their car through a corner at any speed. the r35 isnt good enough because? better weight distribution? anyone gone to check the balance? better power delivery. hopefully better torque distribution controller logic but looks to similar. better gear shift? downshift is better than allot of dsg lookalikes i've seen. better suspension. better braking capabilities. better 0-100-0 times? screw the old cast iron rb..... bring on the lighter more compact vr... cant wait to see a higher reving version released by nismo.
  4. "I" rather enjoy a net velocity of 0... most often enjoyed with my pants on. I dont know of any sprints/gravel rally's in NSW that dont cost me a fortune let alone one I could attend semi regularly... Im not exceptionaly well of, not poor but not well of enough to afford a better play car than a 33t. I have a hobby budget and keeping it + my bike and my golf seems to be my limit. I'd love to be pointed in a cheaper direction.. especially some gravel and hill climb directions. gravel purely for hte fun of punting around playing... hill climbs are just savage fun for places and the REALLY tight turns only help!

If I lived in the city and never left hte city I would consider fwd... but honestly.. if I have to drive over 60kph I want a rwd car... why... it will turn better and that means I will not hit some dead shit doingg stupid stuff trying to kill my family... there is the other idea that I dont want to run over some kid who happens to run out infront of my car either. rwd handles better and turns better... the difference increases as the speed increases. dispute it with some kind of proof and i would change my mentality... The other idea why I hate fwd is going up a hill with my trailer fool of bikes. do that on a wet road with a few of the boys in the car... good times... i like burnouts too... fwd burnouts are crap. dont let the bean counters win and make cars for cheaper and sell them at a premium.. oh wait.. I live in aus... crap.. If it only works once a year.. its a good year?

It all means horse shit until then. There are slow dsg's and fast dsg's... I've seen and heard the downshift... sounded quick... looked quick... I havent driven it so be stuffed if i know... do you guys have a problem with reffering to your wished for GB as an H pattern? If i come of cranky its my wifes fault.... blame her, I do.

  12. I am very interested in an N/A car.. I dont like the temperamental turbo problems though the predictable and ease of use when it comes to power delivery is good for me.. im so used to puting my foot down early for the power to come on when I want it im almost ahead... I would HAVE to remind myself after spinning a couple of times in an NA now that... wait for the apex.. wait wait wait... go.. ohshiteeeeeeeeee to late. I have to admit that airbrushed pic makes me hornier than any bmw ever did.. maybe it's nostalgia... maybe its the ausy in me... but I LiKe BM's in specification.. I like how they go.. but deeper emotions just don't float with it for me... this has the looks..... depending on suspension geometry... It could really be a goer... I have to admit I am waiting on seeing what a new model coupe looks like... stock strong short shift 6... the next evolution should see an acceptable amount of double syncro fun gears. 6 pot fronts optionally extra on the current model. With less than 20 year old wagon / ute suspension on the sedan model... not as completely FUGLY as the last 15 years worth... wonder what an inter cooled supercharged solution is worth.. hell... give me 500rwhp N/A and Ill be a happy camper.... Would piss of my ford loving father though... 5 points ++

  15. unsprung wieght will still effect accell... ie more wieght more power to balance the same power to wieght ratio... wieght around a corner... self explanatory... wieght when slowing..... ... ok ... you put hte foot down and your bigger powa gets you up to speed.... oh shit you have to ease of and slow down to take a corner... as opposed to ending up in the wall and dieing painfully.... hmmm lift off oversteer.... nope nope.... more like understeering puss going for anchors and finding no ground.... coming into corner to fast... understeer of track into dust... wait for truck... woojoooo. face facts.... This is boner worthy.... they are of desktop size >;P since the GTR was built as it's own platform... why cant it look this good, be a small chunk heavier and make the same power it does now.... hell keep the AWD system and come in less than 1400 kg max... preff 1200 max but unlikely. MORE POWER is whats needed for these beasts!

  17. He would fit in with allot of 32t owners.... not all. I do know a fair few rb20 puss box owners that are decent blokes... The ones im talking about think thier 32's are the driftorz shiz... not saying they cant... but im talking 15+ yr old stock suspension with stock rb20 powerhouse that will own everything around a corner types..... btw 2lt AWD turbo cordia's arent all shit... bit heavy... but with about double the cost of the car pored into them they can really hammer. definetly some front wheel bias involved... but if I remember correctly the touring car going around england once upon a time wasnt entirely shit... not that this has any relation to a twat owner like this chumpo. meh... i cant wait to see the next s15 owner with a car I see every other meeting that has a new owner tell me why the same massive chrome steel rims he has improve his traction and accel due to the width they give over the cheese cutters he uses to re-twist his chasis around another pole.
  18. this isnt going to be popular but even the 32+ R's feel heavy to me around a corner... and yes once those tyres get really warm they do slide a bit easier.... the r's do seem to do it a bit quicker ... admitedly shithouse "sport" tyres ala kuhmo's dirty quantity evaluation.... but a benchmark none the less

  20. what about in a 33 ?? I thought they did connect to the ECU.... makes sense for the ecu to know exhuast temps... its important for tuning vehicles to have exhaust temps.....
  21. small track... turbo power delivery... depends on usable power, the length of gearing vs power band... its great to have 5 kajillion jigawats... but if your having a hard time keeping yourself in that band then its pretty useless... yes I know they car is a 4lt tt.. so in theory should have excellent mid range but all comparisons Ive read have not been very tight courses.... almost anything with a reasonable shift seems to get power down on those tracks. small courses with hard turning.... all that weight changing direction and not so much use of power could be something exceptionally crap... then again... the car probably is tuned pretty well and stock turbs would deliver power pretty low in the range... cant wait to see the effects on turn in with the newer system and .. well... we know if it manages to turn it will exit pretty fast.......... scary ride though shift the low slung wieght... well atleast it wont be so easy to flip... provided your on tar.
