I bought my r33 94, gunmetal manual (77,000 kms) 13 mnths ago. Car in immaculate condition, with cat back 3 inch exhaust, 350z rims, hks pod, full gtr kit, good rubber, exedy brass button clutch, full suspension kit including kyb struts, some low jap coils, polyurethane bushings everywhere. Sale price $18,900. That was two 13 mnths ago. I saw more cars with more mods for money, but this was straight as and i could tell by the condition and the results of the compresion test that kms were genuine. May give you some idea of what your car is worth

I did this yesterday afternoon after reading it here. It took me about 10 minutes (no air box, or filter at the moment). I earthed my black wire out on the brcket that my hks air filter sits on usually. My car has a nasty exhaust leak at the moment, so I couldnt rev it too hard. However a quick spin around the block and i noticed that boost definantly builds a bit quicker, especially in the lower gears, and seems to hold on boost a fair bit better. Quick question, when i purchase a after market boost controler, do i return the black wire to its previous home?

yep correct thats the section of the exhaust im having dramas with. Ive heard people say that the bolts used are aluminium and they are fairly common to stretch, warp or crack. Is the a job I could tackle myself? Could you explain to me what to do please?

Hey everyone, Chasing a good and HONEST mechanic to work on my R33 gtst. Just had a new motor put in and it has some dramas that need fixing. My old man is a mechanic, but he is old school and has had enough of my car as he is not that clued up on turbo imports My bigest concern is the mechanics ethics and honesty, as I have never had to worry about that and I have ever only had to pay for parts in the past! Anyone know a reputable mechanic on the gold coast?

I have just put a new motor in my r33 (rb25det). It is obvious that it has an exhaust leak off the turbo to the exhaust. What is the best way to fix this as my car wont boost up, and it is pretty much undrivable how it is. I had a quote of someone to fix it for $550. This seems a bit rich to me as it cant be that involved to fix myself. Anyone else had this drama? can you please help me?

So, let me get this right to put rb26 cams in my car rb25det is as simple as purchasing and puting them in? Around $300 for them right? And do i need an after market computer?

yeah good point Johnny. My car has had over 15k spent on it and i wont be getting much off that back. However it is a very fast and nice car to drive with a good stereo. But yeah, sometimes i question whether or not i should have used that money and bought a lightly modded 33 gtr instead.

Quick question for you mate, I recently put in a series 2 motor into my 33. Was considering neo motor. How do they compare to earlier rb25dets? Much power difference noticed when driving?

thats different mate. Carbon fibre bonnets are frowned on, because of the way they shatter in an event of an accident and go into splinters. Blow off valves are not popular with police because of their general increase in volume. I agree with gtst, if it matters. Not that I really care but, as a rule if your modifying your skyline, you will get bored of your current mods. When you do, your 34 cooler will be the first thing out the door. If you dont think you will get bored go for it. I said I was going to keep my 33 standard. Then my mate bought a gtr, then another bought a wrx sti. Plus its a selling point if you sell your car having a front mount. My hybrid one cost me $800 dollors through a mate at repco. He installed it in about 2hours! Sounds like someone is a tight ass!

I am making close to 902kw at the wheels with a really sick mufflar and some stickers from Bankstown Smash repairs. I have heard that this is quite a lot considering the car is nealy stock. Maybye because it has filth neons and 10 15inch subs in the back and the car is red. Im a tosser! What should I do to my 78 corrolla now it has stickers?

By the way I noticed someone else posted something similar to this but it is true. If you challenge a ticket or charge, according to a current affair I saw it was something like 90% of people get off with a lighter charge or fine if anything at all. Makes sence really they dont want to tie the legal system up with minor mistakes so they can it all together sometimes.

I have been driving along a fair few times on the Gold Coast. I have found cops will look at my car and merge into my lane and pull me over just because it is a sports car. I havnt driven it since i put a 400r bar on and it is only about 4 inches off the ground, so im not looking forwared to being pulled over next time. What is the legal height in qld anyway?

I am an honest person and ill tell you now that in the past that i drove like a idiot on public roads and then turned around on forums or to my little brothers and lied. that was what i was trying to say.
