hey fellas, Ive recently been granted my lic back and replaced my motor which i destroyed in my r33. Is a nice example with a lot of work both cosmetticaly and engine wise. what im worried about is im on my way soon to visit my sister in cronulla. what is the car jacking theft like there? I am not 100% sure ill drive if its bad. AS insurance wont come close to paying me out what its worth thanks

Hey Buddy, My advice to you would be similar to what my advice would be to my little bro also 17. Go to TAFE at Southport when you get here and make an appointment with a couseler and find a part time course that your interested in that will lead to full time work you will enjoy. Once you are enrolled and know your hours of tuition, go and look for a partime job that will fill around the days/hours you have off from TAFE. Just an idea, ive been on the coast most my life and I have also done telemarketing. Contrerey to what other people have said it pays well if you are good(and I was good hahah) as the bonus structures add up. So if you are a fluent speaker and arnt afraid to hard sell people give that a crack. Just be warned 30% of the people you call will tell you to get f@#ked! Goodluck

I have a 25det but, I would ditch the plenum idea go with what you said. Also upgrade injectors and pump and get a motec or power fc engine management. Plenums even on my turbo 25 are really a bit of a gymock and dont offer much in the way of performance until you have big power allready (400kw+). cams, head work. Are you on your p's? If not just swap motors with a turbo 25det. you will be strugling to get the perfrmance of a turbo one without blowing too much money. Rather than waste the money modding it, if thats the case save for a 25det or go all out and get a rb26! hope that helps, laters

I couldnt care if it went like a ferrari! it looks like shit. A new magna has more appeal than this heap. I wouldnt swap my 33 for this. Not turbo either is it?

Engine/Car: r33 series1 rb25det Type of failure: Number 5 piston letting go and destroying block and crank and deep grooves in head. Oil pump failure. Dads a mechanic he told me it was probably a sticky valve making noise, should have checked oil pressure. Noise was piston hitting head! Factors influencing the failure: Warm weather, Oil pump, Motor had a couple of dodgy coil packs leaning out and detonating. Poor maintanece really. Learnt that mistake State of tune of the engine: FMIC, cat back 3.14, hks pod, n1 water pump, Suspension and tyres: kyb struts, jap springs of some sort, pinaples, control arm bushings. 235 45 17 pottenza reo 40 Oil used and service interval: Good sythetic oil cant remember, Serviced approx 3000km before this General comments: Very inconvenient time for this to happen. Has made me slightly wary of rb25det now. Had a sylvia before this gave it hell still going strong! I want a head up display oil pres now!

I mount Glorious and Mt Nebo a controlled environment? If not whats the point of driving there rather than anywhere else mate? Im 25 and the novelty of driving a car has worn off at slow speeds or with traction, skyline or not. So why waste fuel? Unless you are putting your foot down? Dont get me wrong I dont think it is ok, but every now and then I put the foot in on the highway or exit road when there is no other cars (1am-4am). Im not saying its ok to do it. And if I got pulled over I would wear it. All I was trying to say is that I personally believe that people posting things such as "dont do it on public roads etc!" probably have put their foot down in their car at least a few times on public roads, and Im not talking about that "just to the speed limit bullshit either!". Now, I will admit that I am 4 weeks away from regaining my licence. It was suspended for 12 months because of this. Will I risk the inconvenience of riding a bike 20kms a day to get to work again? deffinantly not! And will I carry on like a hypocrite and get up people when they say they do it? no. You dont own a performance vehicle just because it looks nice and drives well, give me a break. Id like to know how many of you goody goody grandmas actually take your modded skyline to a track and drive sensible 100% of the time on public roads. Just say nothing rather than bullsh@t if you cant admit that and have to pretend that your ned flanders because you cant stand up and be a man and admit youve made mistakes! on and off the road. girls

I was thinking of taking my tyres off and just riding around on the rims. couple of inches lower again yeah? hahahaha. Also I was going to remove the steering wheel and pedals to save weight

I think as long as they are subtle they look good. I prefer white or those light blue ones. Really depends on the car. Ive got a r33 turbo coupe, Do you guys find you recieve less hassles from the police with a stagea? What is the weight differance with the two cars? and how reliable is the 4wd on the 2.5 modle or should i say driveline in general? cheers
