i think that a rb20e has a huge 95kw at the flywheel. altho i think the r32 NAs have a rb20de which has about 120kw at the fly. compare that to a rb25det with 185kw. Prepare to be blown away by bogans in stock commodores... personally id try for a GTS4, with the rb20det. none came with a rb25de, unless it is an aftermarket. where in Aust are you?

ive picked up people in Bendigo and Frankston chatting on mine. No bastard can hear me tho the supermarket where i work, the managers use cbs to talk to each other... havent had a chance to see if i can pick em up...

yeah, readin up on that you cant use the car charger to power the cb radio meh, you gotta use the same plug for the charger as for the VOX so yeh... the batteries shouldnt go flat in a hurry anyway.

Dynamat Extreme is awsome stuff. i really recommend it, although it isnt cheap. i put almost a total boot kit on the VS (it is a commodore, theyre designed to vibrate to bits ) and a wedge back on the boot. it sounds a million times better and hardly any rattles except for the outside door handle

chopping springs is for... idiots. 1. comfort and handling are shite 2. spring may (or may not) fall out over bumps 3. your shock will be totally stuffed in a month or twos time 4. say goodbye to insurance, 3rd party or full comp. chopping spring is illegal and insurance companie will get out of anything for any reason. King spring are only about $240 for 4 springs. I lowered my VS properly. Shock spring and panhard bar. $1200 all up, i prefer to do thing properly the first time.

yeah, commodores have a fairly large boot. id classify my boot as a "7 body" boot... more if you gut the m into little peices the only things in my boot are the sub and amps, and 2 towels (spares in there of course). so i dont mind a downsize.

there a bp walking distance away with ultimate and all that. and theres 3 other servos around that supply premium. petrol isnt a prob the BP here didnt run out of ultimate either when they had all that happen... lol, sorry Spook's_Skyline but im after a car for me, as im usually the only one in it except on kfc runs.

There is too many choices in what car to get!! argh. ive got someoe looking at my car, and im really keen to sell it and upgrade. thats where i get stumped... upgrade to what? while not the best Q to ask on a model specific forum, ill throw it in anyway. some cars ive been looking at: 1. r33 GTST 2. R32 GTR 3. Subaru WRX about a '97 model 4. Holden VR/S V8 or S/C Statesman 5. Holden VR Senator those cars ive found to be in my price range, tho some of the r32 GTRs do need a little TLC on them. I also know some are over the power to weight laws of Vic, but the police of my town are fairly lient on the matter, and also i know a few of them from past dealings with them with the family. Are there any other options i could look into? i dont drive often, i have only managed 4000kms in the commodore over the past 13months ive owned it. and im considered by mates that im a fairly sane/good-ish driver, and i wouldnt mind a little bit of power. im not gunna set time aside as yet to look for test drives, as the VS is still around and finding spare time with my work sucks... throw some opinions in here id like to hear them. PS. i think this topic would be useful to most in a similar situation, weighing up options n stuff.
