Cool cool Yeah do that if you dont mind Ando Last i saw it (2months) it was in a lot of pieces, but definatly way closer than its been over the last few years
  4. What are you using for the sump adaptor? Those braces are expensive, yes, but like you've said the worst part is the cash needed for the motor to be stripped and rebuilt. The big oil pump ontop will really push the budget over Powercurve looks good! Thanks for that. Do you have a scale showing RPM? 26 was a tired stocker First 30 had a wastegate get stuck open at wakefield. Also no proper catch tank recirc. Get your memory checked mate, cause it wasnt days or weeks Current 30 is working perfectly, just let down by the ECU which was broken before i bought it, the motor is working without issues, and has definatly had its chance to break, making a good catch tank for it right now while waiting for ecu. Dirtgarage has the ecu to repair as i bought it from him.
  5. Whats the point of the 30 conversion if you cant track/thrash it?! Go back to the mechanic, ask him specifically; Why not? Get him to go into as much detail as possible and let us know It would be interesting to see actual damage/info on the hybrids he mentioned that are damaged Side note: Do you have a dyno sheet handy? Would like to see the 42R curve you've got if you dont mind
  6. Yeah they're not exactly $500 brass button clutches. These were the best thing to buy IMO when the exchange rate was better. Remember though, they come with everything needed for install including flywheel.
  7. Hell yes. Also on gear changes, its VERY positive. (which is a great thing)
  8. The last thing is probably that the Gmax doesnt rattle, and all C spec's do
  9. Exactly! Those WRP10 wheels arent the best rims subaru have released though, why would you bother? Try and find one of the late model STi's with the enkei style/multispoke ones that look like blitz technospeeds
  10. Dibs on motor and rims (if they're genuine forged) from the wreck!
  11. Did you read the above 2 posts? You car sounds fantastic. Sounds exactly like mine did with the twin plate. EDIT: Yours has been at autostyle before yeah?
  12. VERY nice work mate! I think a gb is needed soon Ill be in 100% in 2 months time Yeah have seen them, they look awesome
  13. Here's another "first time gtr driver" (seriously, just like the link above the owner is known on these forums) Oh look, a p plate. It was a very easy 3rd/4th gear piece of road as you can all see. The car was beyond fixing, so it was stripped then cut in half.
  14. A legal option is to take it to a trackday. You'll need a track licence, prebooked trackday, helmet, proper clothes and the gtr has to pass scruitineering. Budget about $450 for all of that plus whatever wear the car cops and a shitload of petrol. Although the car will be subject to a lot more stress than driving around the block, so your mate may retract the offer.
  15. Are you still considering doing it? Holy shit some people just dont take a hint. DONT DO IT! Click the link in my post above, that was someone's first drive of a GTR aswel. Got enough cash to cover something like that? To answer your latest question, you'll lose your licence, have a police record which will bite you in the ass EVERY time you get pulled over in the future, risk the car's safety (if the cop claims you were "street racing" they can crush the car. No matter who owns it), not be able to get your licence back for an extended period of time etc Maybe you should take it for a drive and get caught. I bet the lesson would be learnt then. Your mate would learn a lesson aswel when the cops start defecting the gtr while you're trying to talk your way out of the driving charge.
  16. Looks tough! Where from? Disc specs? They look like V8supercar
  17. Nice collection, just need a heap of cars to put them on now hahaha Oh nice one! Bring on the pics Found out yesterday that my front are yet again not ready for collection, so those pics will have to wait until they're ready to be collected
  18. Anyone reminded of morgs old gtr by this thread? Link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=2549675

    Mansoor, hows this going?
  20. The Nismo twin isnt an "on" or "off" clutch like pretty much every other multiplate option. Ive driven exedy twins aswel (nismo clutches are sourced from exedy then modified and resold), the difference is shocking. So far none of the other jap brands are close to the nismo IMO Only problem with them is that the highest rated power for an R32 with standard gearbox is 740hp. If you stick an R34 getrag in you get a higher rating of 780hp. Both of those numbers are for the C spec versions (they rattle when clutch in). The C spec versions are a bit more costly but not by much, certainly not by enough to put you off getting one. Once you wear it out though, places like NPC can rebuild them to suit more power if needed. Also, if you can, buy one in stock in Australia, as they're fkn heavy to be sending by mail
  21. Oh come on, i wouldnt shoot you..... ......for the first 60 seconds.
  22. Whats your usertag Richard?
  23. Shame this is a Canberra position
  24. Id like to know where these are for sale aswel, let us know how you go?
