  1. You're in Sydney? Should join SAUNSW. The best way IMO to fix this is to get a cable tie on the underside of the leather at the top of the shaft, tie it up from underneath the leather boot (means taking off some trim for a minute or two)
  2. Argo. No doubt about it.
  3. Injectors wont be the issue. Turbo's and headwork will be the factors that influence the power here. As long as you can get enough fuel and air into the cylinders you've got the right gear to push some good healthy numbers. I have HKS GTRS's on mine, from experience im saying this; dont put them on a 2.6L Instead, get a pair of -5's, run them at 22-24psi (remember your using pump98) and enjoy! When you get sick of that, pull the head off, get it ported, add some 260deg 10.25mm lift cams, springs to match, buckets to match (just get all tomei to make life easy), then put it back on, retune, and enjoy.....again. You shouldnt have a problem getting about 350kw atw at this stage, but the duty cycle of the injectors will need to be watched at this stage, basically if you dont want to have to spend any more money, once you get the new turbo's and head on ask him to go as far as he can within safe limits for the injectors. That will be one quick GTR for the streets. I hope you have a good clutch, and have at least got good discs and pads for the brakes
  4. I think its a case of no one just having N1 blocks sitting around. Best bet is to just buy one if you need to do anything specific with one
  5. Yes they all fit. But you need to prep the block first. Read the "rb30 gtr conversion" thread under the "rb30" section of "forced induction". If you cant find it, just do a search and you'll find it.
  6. Well, not really. 2 sets in Sydney have traded under 400 recently. One of those sets included semi slicks about 50% worn.
  7. Hey everyone Japan has some damn tasty foods on offer, as we'd all know. Some of those teas from the vending machines are pretty addictive, but nothing got me addicted as bad as "Toppo" biscuits made by "Lotte" who i assume are like Japans answer to Arnotts. Now, my question; Has anyone found a shop that carries these sort of products in Australia? In Sydney would be best, but am happy to work interstate on this Quite often there's Indian grocery shops, or Chinese grocery shops - but i cant find a Japanese one! Please help me feed this addiction, my stomach and taste buds thank you all in advance
  8. Such a hard question to answer as BB mentioned. For example i had 255/45/17 semi comps on and with a laggy"ish" big single turned them hard in the dry when it came on full song. But then with twins, 30more kw atw and a more linear delivery of torque and power, 235/45/17 chaiwanese crap were doing very well in a straight line. Corners were a whole new story with them though....
  9. Report it to EPA
  10. Incase you dont get one (on a long weekend, with very little notice - i dont like the chances), balmain rentals are dirt cheap, they're in Annandale, keep that in mind as a backup if needed
  11. Easiest way for both of you is to go to a car yard with a pewter S15/white gtst for sale, open the bonnet, have a look on the build plate, paint code will be there.
  12. In that first pic, on the corner directly behind the masa, is there a small pizza shop? If so, great pizza's from that place BTW always loved the kit on the car in your av
  13. Thats a GT3RS, a VERY special porka SuperCarClub's one no doubt, not like there's heaps of them getting around Twin turbo 3.5L V8. Yum. If you havnt been in one, they're worth the wait. They sound SO good even just on idle
  14. Thats cause he's a bloody legend. Has something to prove and is well on his way to doing that.
  15. Nice motor. Any more details on it?
  16. There's a buying guide thread, do a quick search and you'll find it easy enough But yeah, 21psi for that power isnt right
  17. Like normal Mat hits the nail on the head. Its all about the driver. From my knowledge of Mats gearbox, he must really love the car to put up with it hahaha Some people will put up with more than others. For example mines got a triple plate clutch, quite loud exhaust and super short shifter among other things. The clutch makes you pray for red lights to turn green as you approach them, but then the 380 kw atw make you want to stand on the throttle any chance you get.
  18. Also, ages ago i posted up detailed fuel consumption figures for mine as a daily, finding the post will be damn hard, but the gist of it was; Driving the GTR in traffic even going easy on the throttle, couldnt get better than 18L per 100, as soon as the turbo's were working (eg a stab here and there), that figure rocketed into the 20's. AFR's were around the 11.5 when hard up it, and the usual ran lean on cruise and idle. Take it for a run though the hills and over a 10k long bit of road it has no problem using half the tank. It really comes down to tune and right foot
  19. If you do a search there's a very good thread on running costs from GTR owners, also another few threads about daily driven GTR's from first hand experience. I used mine as a daily for a while, it was good, faster than most cars you see in traffic when it had 260rwkw, but also used way more petrol than most cars you see in traffic With the right clutch and suspension they can be a pleasure to use as a daily. With that said i bought a supra and now the supra is the "everywhere" car, the GTR is too much effort in comparison. A think a good setup for a daily would be; -All new bushes -R33 GTR rims -stock suspension but lowered a bit -Nice gear knob like the Nismo GT500 ones -Nismo twin plate -Turbo timer -N1 turbos -Good ecu Tune that up to about 260kw atw and you'll love it. Remember though; GTR's arent made for sitting in traffic, they're made for flowing roads with no other cars infront. My advice? Get a GTR, use it on weekends, its nice to have something to look forward to on the weekend other than the hangover from friday night. Then get an auto corolla and use that monday to friday
  20. Nah dont know him, just met him. Was at a private HKS day at Sugo. When i saw it i made a beeline for it, the body work was flawless. Really nice owner aswel
  21. Or leave the pods off and get an ARC box
  22. Another case of "searching yields the answer"
  23. You'll see 440hp from both. Watch the duty cycle.
  24. Jack, i saw your car in Japan Rest are here; http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2440...7336&page=3
  25. Agreed with both of Duncans comments.
