The event will be run after run until 4.30pm, and considering most runs are under 1 minute AND that we're kicking off at 9am, that's a lot of runs This is a safe event where you only go as hard as you want to, there's no pressure, one car on a course at a time. Perfect for beginners to have a first try at driving their pride and joy off the streets. With that said, there's usually some friendly competition between mates, which is great to watch Timing for the day; Scrutineering/sign on starts 7.00am Scrutineering/sign on ends 8.30am (don't show up at 8.25am, come with plenty of time to spare) Drivers brief 8.40am (mandatory attendance all drivers) Runs start 9.00am Lunch approx 12.30pm depending on how the day is going (One hour) Runs stop 4.45pm Gates close 5.00pm Entrants please note: -All entered cars must arrive in time for and pass scrutineering, no exceptions. -All drivers must be licensed (AASA or CAMS) and show valid licence and expiry date at sign on. -All cars must have an insurance approved fire extinguisher secured within drivers reach. -Sidepipes are not allowed. Screamers/external gates venting to atmosphere are also not allowed to be entered. No exceptions (this is not my choice, I ♥ gate) -Entries are open now, entries close as stated in Supplementary Regulations (at bottom of this post) to allow time for officials to organise paperwork. -Supp regs and Entry Form are attached. Entry forms without payment will be rejected. -Yes you can join SAUNSW on the day (allow an extra 5mins at sign on) -Yes you can organise an AASA or CAMS licence on the day (allow extra 10mins at sign on) -There is no EFTPOS/Credit Card machine on site, so bring cash and we will have change there for you. If you can bring close to the right amount, that's helpful. 7. I'll be very surprised if Terry doesn't buy these!
  8. Great first post for a build thread - if only the rest had all that detail and information, well done. This car would be a riot to drive too, love it
  9. Thanks Terry! I'll swing past when you're there on Wednesday
  10. Worlds most highest paid roadblock.
  11. Please be more careful about the dates on threads. Eg this one is 2 years old.
  12. Is anyone doing the tipping still? I didnt bother putting tips in for Monaco and got an email saying i'd won 57 points or something like that, which is more than I've managed in any week where I actually put the thought into doing tips!
  13. GTSS is EXACTLY the same as -9. It's the same part without a pretty badge. This information is in just about every thread started on this topic since SAU started. For the rest, use the search button. It's been covered so many times, in great detail. There won't be a single question you can think of that hasn't been answered already on those turbos. There's a 300kw GTR thread, 400kw thread, RB26 dyno results thread, 7's vs 9's thread (not this one) plus more. There's ECU threads, Fuel system threads, exhaust threads, dump pipe threads, intercooler threads, air box threads, clutch threads, radiator threads, brake threads, wheel size and fitment threads. It's all been covered before This may seem rude, but members on here who have taken the time to give very detailed answers and information in the past will find it rude that their past contributions are neglected by other users who are too lazy to take the small amount of time to search when they've given their time to answer the questions already.
  14. Too much boost kills the stock turbo in a big way. Not the valves. You've been told by 2 people here in this thread the valves are fine stock.
  15. Drop in Tomei type B cams. Add cam gears. If you're thinking about more changes later, may as well throw in an ECU with Map and then not need the AFM's anymore. Or, the non budget option; stroker motor time.
  16. Quick answer before I go to bed; 1. Lots. Bigger injectors allow for more fuel to be pushed into the combustion chamber (area above pistons and below valves) to make more power. The more power you make, the more fuel is needed. Any change to injectors requires adjustments in the ECU. As a general rule of thumb to make it easy, think of 850cc injectors as 850hp, 1000cc as 1000hp and so on. Thats not exactly the right numbers after other considerations are taken, but I'm trying to make it as easy to understand as possible if that makes sense. Also most tuners (people with the skills to make the alterations in the ECU) will have a limit for the injectors for example 85% duty cycle (how hard the injector is working) before they stop pushing them. Each tuner is different. So you may go for the 850cc injectors and have a tuner who will use 90% duty cycle, meaning the flow used is around 770cc. Use this as a rough guide, there's more to it but to save you the time and headache go and buy a set of ID1000's from Injector Dynamics to suit RB25. 2. No 3. The difference in very basic terms; think of the difference between a mcdonalds straw and a fire hose. One flows more than the other. Eventually the stock one will run out of flow and not be able to accurately tell the ECU whats going on and if the ECU doesnt know whats going on, how can it do it's job of managing the engine? One thing to keep in mind is that with these mods requiring a retune, you're better off to buy all the parts and fit them when it's time for the tune. You cant just put 1000cc injectors on it and expect is to drive the way it does now, the ECU has to be told what you've changed, so leave the car as it is for now, buy everything you want on there, take it all in one go to whoever you will get to tune the car and ask them to fit it all for you and tune in the one go.
  17. Im not even from that state and I know the guy has a great rep - go to ERD
  18. Start by looking through this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/55845-rb25-turbo-upgrade-all-dyno-results/page__view__findpost__p__1085967
  19. Anyway back to the topic at hand. One super clean 33GTST that needs more cubes haha!
  20. 1 round. They said do a little skid, not my fault no one specified any other rules and left it up to drivers interpretations haha
  21. Yeah here we go, i think they're called "Motorway" brand but who knows (or cares hahaha). I promise they're junk. To their credit though, they're not showing any significant wear after what they've been through so I'm sure their treadwear rating is just a guess by the manufacturer. I only have this video handy, but yeah, they suck haha http://youtu.be/gTPLXUwuzz8
  22. From TOTALLY bone stock, here's the parts needed; Any aftermarket front pipes from a decent brand Any cat back from a decent brand Highest flowing cat converter you can find New air filter in stock airbox, I used the S tune filter from Nismo with great results. I took the snorkel off my R32 airbox. Apexi PFC (smart move to get the DJetro) Boost T (budget) or Greddy Profec B2 set to 15psi Then get a clutch in mind for when the stock one dies. Smart idea to have the stock injectors serviced while all this is going on as they're quite old now. That will get between 250 and 265rwkw
  23. Thanks Terry LOL maaaaaybe just the one set thanks
