Another 4wd/attessa Problem
Swiper the Fox replied to 06tst's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Not correct...Ive removed the ABS and my ATTESSA is just fine. You must remove or unplug the ABS computer from under your rear parcel shelf for it to work properly. -

With the seats you can run a fixed bucket...but...the passenger seat must be the same or similar...or the OEM seat. No lightweight alloy Kirkey style seats for driver or passenger, they must be uphostered. I run a Bride fixed back Zeta III for driver and run a Bride Brix II recliner for passenger. A car does not need a stereo to obtain a blue slip for rego so its free...the same goes for Air con.

Street car must run full front interior i.e. carpets, hoodlining, sunvisors, door trims, matching front seats, all factory controls (headlights, indicators, wipers, power windows etc) but B pillar rearward is free (back seat, boot trims, spare tyre can be removed) this is the way ANDRA run their street class and its the way to go.

id go for a performance metalcraft sump....ive launched quite a few times with one harder than most (2nd hardest in aust) and would throughly recommend one.

yeah it was a bit embarrasing checking out...think about it...two guys sharing a room, and her thinking we ordered some Bgrade hotel head-bobbing flick!. Suffice to say we refused to pay, but checked the time it was ordered and fits in with the time that we left "Steve the salami slapper" to his own devices in our room. ahh well it made for some good humour for the trip home..

Show Me Your Racing Machines
Swiper the Fox replied to screamin''s topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
yes its our race car...we run 9's in it down the strip...makes over 500awkw no battery is in the boot, but the isolator is on the front bar...hence the battery isolation switch mounted inside front decal as per ANDRA regs. -

Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Thanks Dave, yes not an easy decision but one that had to be made. Time with my young family is more important than anything achieved trackside. Very hard to put a price on the car as the man hours to develop such a car is countless. Its not just a matter of raiding the Japanese parts catalogue bolting it all together and going fast. There is only a handfull of us in the country that have gone sub 10 and most will attest to the massive budget required to do so. This is a great opportunity for someone to take this car over at reasonable cost and enjoy what its like to campaign a truely awesome racecar. -

Engine has only been run-in and has done 12 drag runs and dyno tuning. Engine has mostly ran on Sunoco Max NOS fuel $10/litre and only used Motul 300V le mans oil $25/litre. At autosalon on the weekend easily made 500+AWKW with a fairly rich tune and only 25psi. This is the worlds fastest, quickest and most powerful low-mount turbo'd GTR and we are yet to use big boost or nitrous. The car is capable of mid to low 9 second runs once engine and chassis is fully dialled in. Its a no expense spared racecar and can easily be converted to a circuit racer with the addition of some monster brakes. Comes with most std trims, fittings and parts to convert back to a street car. Lots of spares including spare engine block, prepped rods, forged pistons, transfer case etc. The car is street registered in NSW and is an ANDRA log booked car with a current and recent technical inspection. Interested buyers can see this car race at WSID on the 19th May 2008. as this will be the the cars last outing. Stacey and i have decided to sell the car due to the fact we can no longer enjoy racing the car together due to our new baby (drag strips are not the place for little ones ears) Recent meetings have not been as enjoyable for me as Stacey was not able to attend. Will consider swap plus cash for mint Australian delivered R32 GTR, Stagea 260RS or straight swap for tidy R34 GTR

The CRD/Bodyform GTR will take on the best "street" cars at WSID on the 16th of DEC. Looking for some spectator support to cheer us on. Your chance to get a close up look at the car in action as well as in the pits. CRD's other car DEVLISH the S14 200SX will also be competing. This will be the last track outing for our car for a while so come check it out.

some of us had a big night...but doof slept in our hotel room...so he shouldnt have been tired this is the best pic ive ever seen of our car
-
the tune was the same...just played with the AFM settings a little to lean it a little in the top end (still very safe as base AFR's are 11.4-1) So going to keep it there for supernats as a consistent slower car is better to compete in than an inconsistent faster one (did that make sense?) Aiming to run around 9.90.

thanks...it is a really special car and the weekend response from people was incredible. Stacey and i feel lucky to have been able to build such a car and are humbled by people enjoying seeing the car.
