  1. tell you what...if the sale falls through russ...and you have some brakes lying around. Ill send the car up to you guys and you and Mark can play with it out at QR for a few weeks. might finally shut them up!
  2. but russ...all the uneducated d1ckheads on here are saying that this car is no good for corners. (other than brakes of course)
  3. i have rail to suit if anyone interested in purchasing this seat. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...01#entry3578501
  4. both engines are RB26 mate...identical capacity...but 1st one had small cams and little to no head work...not a good match for the turbines...with correct cams and head work you can get these to be just as responsive as 2530's...as now the power comes on almost 1000rpm earlier...and makes power all the way past 9500rpm. Also has a big flat fat 5000rpm max torque curve...did you notice how peaky the 2530's torque curve was? What im trying to point out is if you only change the turbo's then YES they will be laggier...but if you know what your doing and are going to build an engine to suit them then they can be awesome and responsive...WITHOUT an increase in capacity.
  5. My advice...if you have plenty of $$ go the RS route and build a proper engine to suit, they are an awesome set-up on a big $$ GTR engine...or...if its a basic engined street car, go the SS's
  6. This is a better guide of how effective they can be on a properly set up engine the 1st graph is 20psi on pump fuel the 2nd is 25psi on Sunoco fuel
  7. This is only a turbo change but not direct comparison as i now remember they were at different boost levels with different fuels used but you can see that with NOTHING CHANGED they are laggier. Now the engine was designed and built with HKS 2530's in mind, so the GT-RS's were not able to stretch their legs or come on harder earlier...a GT-RS engine has to be done completely different (you build an engine similar to that if you were running a big single..massive cams porting etc) also anyone who says they need a larger capacity to be fully effective is just guessing, and not speaking from experience.
  8. I have a direct comparison graph between RS's and HKS 2530's...nothing else changed...will scan and post.
  9. TwinTurboCelica why are wasting this guys time by asking for pics...as you have already stated numerous times you only have $30 000 to spend... makes mine look cheap at $65 000 now doesn't it
  10. get them sandblasted then powdercoated....will be more durable than paint
  11. a quick look has confirmed he's a scammer http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Xb...48#entry3577948
  12. sounds like Paul talking and looks like Bruce Sanders spending some more $$ on more toys, at Raymond Terrace too!
  13. a small belt driven supercharger may be a better option than turbocharging
  14. not 9.7's as they have a 31mm base circle...same as stock
  15. if i park somewhere i dont trust i take the igniter or ecu with me...makes it a bit hard to drive.
  16. 700 is over 500KW...750 is 550KW....you are kidding right...probably make around 450KW. But Dave is using the best tuner in Aust. for the numbers so it might go higher. At least it will have a good spread of power and most importantly torque. and im sure it will chirp 2nd!
  17. all depends on who's tuning it...
  18. I cryo'd our GTR box...lasted 3 years of thrashing...broke it flat shifting out of turn 9 at eastern creek...lol
  19. due to the size of the sump its not required, also the oil return galleries have been enlarged. This mod (external return) is mainly needed when larger volume pumps are used with STD size sumps i.e. to stop them being emptied at high revs. colour is candy apple red...although it looks orange in pics...much deeper and darker in real life.
  20. look out for what?...wont you need a "licence" to drive it? ahh thats right...im your chauffer...ive got it!
  21. The vehicles are leased ya bonehead, and photo's of police proudly standing next to vehicles was shown in last weeks paper. It was warning people they were out in these vehicles and to think twice before you act. Also council rates pay for council services...not taxes...if you owned a house you would be aware of this. here's a link for the story...better photo's were in paper with police posing with their "hoon" patrol cars http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/stor...5001021,00.html
