  1. Again building our race and dyno proven monsters due to the sh1t service and quality NSW/ACT engine builders are providing. Also have engine removal and installation as part of our services...will keep you posted of opening dates.
  2. ive personally seen the bill...over 9 hours to fit a front diff in sump. We did mine IN the car in under 2 hrs, out of the car its a 1 hour job. 3 hours was charged to clean/degrease sump, baffle plates and oil filter block. Car has the same Hypertune plenumn as your car Russ, was yours a direct fit?, as he was also charged for modifying it and other parts to make it fit...go figure?
  3. already over $20 000 just in labour costs i think a new labour cost record in street GTR engine removal/rebuild/re-install has been smashed.
  4. Now they are taking the head off...farken ell !!
  5. this is my post from another thread...seems to fit well here too... "time after time Croydon's have been sent cars from XXXX (insert well known japanese tuning house) by Autostyle and a few other importers.... only for them to be not only poorly set-up but tuned like a dogs breky. People please take a good note of what has been said here. Yes the Japanese do things well, but just because XXXX has built the car does not mean its the perfect car. In most instances...far from it. A handful of Aussie tuners/builders can do it better than them...id match Racepace/Croydon/Godzilla/Berry-Newman teams against most of what Japan has to offer. We already proved this 15 years ago when Gibson Motorsport was the world leader. Nismo asked them not to bring their cars over to Japan to compete due to the fear of being humiliated."
  6. common mistake is the cam base circle to bucket clearance is 3thou different on a STD GTR head due to the fact the exhaust valves are sodium filled. When fitting aftermarket stainless valves this clearance is not used as when the stainless valve "grows" under heat the cam base circle to bucket clearance is insufficient to ensure correct operation. This has been explained by me to your engine builder and is still arrogantly being ignored. A quick check can be done when the engines hot by measuring the inlet side to make sure the exhaust buckets are clearanced the same.
  7. does your car have ABS fitted ?
  8. sold mine recently for $150 plus freight so aim for that sort of money
  9. Proof that everything can be bought
  10. Well done again Nick, i hear there's gonna be an awesome R32 on the cover of issue 92 . Was a little disappointed in the 1/4 mile time of the Yankee GTR, slower than me with over a 1000hp and a Hollinger 6 speed sequential gearbox....SOFT! Should be running sub 9.50's at least.
  11. got one...thanks. Mods please close
  12. can somebody help me out?
  13. spray WD40 on it liberally...leave for 1 hour...then wipe off with a rag...simple. removing deadner is piss easy...heat gun and scraper...then WD and a rag.
  14. No would have been Marcus or Theo...Lance is long gone.
  15. i side-step mine at 9500rpm....no probs...grabs hard and gets me over the 60' in 1.41 secs! this is in a 500AWKW 9 sec drag car. no hint of slip yet.
  16. I have both of these Richard...will be available on DVD soon...ill let you know. The No.1 chassis was the livery 1 for 2/3 of the season...then they swapped race numbers for the remainder of the season and Bathurst. Then chassis No.2 wore race number 1 an easy way to tell which was which was the black windscreen strip which didnt change when numbers changed (the other cars windscreen strip was white).
  17. aparantly i get a mention in the cover car article...woohoo
  18. sounds like its gravity bled itself...air in system is the most common problem and mostly cured by letting it gravity bleed.
  19. its sleeved to 86mm
  20. I reckon you have almost got it sussed...except for the turbo's...even a 2.9 wont bring RS's on like that. Gav's 2.8 is proof of that.
  21. another good one Roy...time after time Croydon's have been sent cars from XXXX (insert well known japanese tuning house) by Autostyle and a few other importers.... only for them to be not only poorly set-up but tuned like a dogs breky. People please take a good note of what has been said here. Yes the Japanese do things well, but just because XXXX has built the car does not mean its the perfect car. In most instances...far from it. We already proved this 15 years ago when Gibson Motorsport was the world leader. Nismo asked them not to bring their cars over to Japan to compete due to the fear of being humiliated. Torque graph Ben ?
  22. Excellent post
  23. i think you will find its probably an off the shelf jap full counter jobbie as Lithium suggested. Id really like to see that torque graph with a more "realistic" scale. As it will show what Ben has achieved in a better light.
  24. consider it done at nil cost. Im getting Stace to do the covers for the DVD's too, so they will be nice and proffesional. may look at bootleging them on here and making a small donation to SAU with a percentage of the proceeds.
