  1. i believe the Top Secret R33 racing (and cops a hit and heads to the pits) is the one for sale here http://www.gtrowners.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=998
  2. Ive seen this car run on a very green track at Taupo and i must say it was truely amazing. Considering the car ran 7.67 and 7.77 on such a track, i have the utmost respect for Reece as it was all over the place throughout the entire pass. The front diff. broke at 3/4 track on the 7.77 pass and was a PB (read:on pace for new world record pass) to 1/2 track. All the best to Reece, Kevin and all the crew.
  3. Popping a wheelie...yeeehaaa!! http://www.cacklingpipesphotography.com/07...s161207_085.JPG
  4. clearance should be 0.45mm for the inlet and 0.38mm for exhaust side. Only use two gauges and come in with them from opposing sides to obtain correct measurement.
  5. nah you need to measure the bucket to lobe centre clearance with feeler gauges to work out the right shim they should have used.
  6. pics of a "proper" port job http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=89921 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=89920 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=89919
  7. id say it was not correctly shimmed on that valve.
  8. what do ya want done?? you could bring it to me.
  9. agree, microtech is a WOT rotary ECU. use the right tool for the right job, ive seen R33 GTS-t's on microtech's before...its not pretty!
  10. yes Russ...thats why there's no 2nd hand cranks or blocks around anymore. Cheaply built cars busting them all the time.
  11. Thanks mate, ours made 450+awkw @20psi on a very conservative run in tune at autosalon with BP98 would do that figure all day every day. It was so rich a lot of the show cars next to the dyno cell complained about the ammount of fuel their cars were coated in after the runs. hehe 11.2:1 in the top end from memory, and very conservative timing figures as well. TTcelica, i understood where you were coming from, quite simply if no one comes up with the required cash i keep the car. I quite like the look of a 9 sec GTR race car sitting there when i go to the shed to "sharpen the mower blades"!
  12. what oil pump is that "sticky"?
  13. Did you drive Glen Laws' car? He's a good friend of mine. If you only have 30K, buy his car...he's selling it.
  14. 10 sec GTR's are 26K because they have had nearly double that outlay to get them there. the same applies with 60K 9 sec GTR's. this car is purpose built to go fast both on strip and track. and has proven to be more reliable than any 10 sec GTR ive own or known. To finish first you must first finish. choose your brake upgrade and visit your bank...hey its only money!
  15. ran a PB of 9.95 @ 139.6 MPH before it got washed out.
  16. as i posted before...but it got removed... i offered our race car http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/9-...Ca-t196438.html for your car plus cash...what do you think?
  17. my results both on and off the track speak for themselves. go and stroke it if you want...its your money!
  18. not correct...ive got nearly 5500rpm of peak torque!...ill go the "pepsi challenge" with Gav's 450kw graph from Perth Autosalon to prove a point if you like. Both done on a Mainline dyno under competition conditions. My main point is you don't need to waste money on big $$ engineering or an out of the box stroker crank. Why re-invent the wheel. Spend the money elsewhere like headwork, monster cams and rev the c*nt out of it. It will make the power!
  19. Yes it appears that this promising combo disappeared to oblivion... you dont need big stroker cranks to make good power with GT-RS turbo's we made 455 AWKW in competition at Newcastle Autosalon with BP98 in tank and 20psi all this with a STD Nissan R33 crank! on an 11.2:1 run in tune makes his 2.9ltr look a little weak now edit:also made over 500awkw at final battle with Sunoco at 25psi with 11.4:1afr's
  20. i run splitfires with HKS amplifier...very good
