  1. Ahh gotcha! I'm guessing now that he was just mucking around to get the numbers "911" on it?
  2. So I dont think my question was answered last time - what is it? is it just a stopwatch built into the dash?
  3. Pfft screw the driver... There's plenty more people in the world than R35's. As a ratio he just wiped out the population of South Africa! No way would that break the world record. Im sure there some fat texan american who balls'ed up his viper before he got it out of the street that the dealership is on!
  4. That GranTurismo is a work of art!
  5. When the wing moved there may not have been enough slack in the wiring and it could have snapped the wire. The good news is that its probably relatively easy to figure out where the wire broke. Open your boot up and have a look at where the wing fastens to the boot. You will probably see the wiring in there somewhere. Look around the areas where the wiring has to travel through metal/fibreglass or around 'corners' this is your most likely spot that the cabling is broken. If you find the broken wire just solder it up again, but add a small length of wire to give it a bit more slack so you dont have this problem again in the future. If you're not comfortable with doing it yourself, any local auto electrician will be able to fix this in well under half an hour.
  6. Damn that bites.. Stolen before the owner has even taken delivery. Surely that comes under the workshops insurance doesnt it?
  7. Or you could just pay someone to do it, like most people do. Not having SOME sort of security is asking for trouble (and no, a flashing red light is nothing more than a weak deterrant!). I hope you're not the one to start the next "My line has been stolen" thread
  8. i dont understand... Are you talking about just putting a flashing red light on the dash, without having the alarm?
  9. Damn straight
  10. Whats wiTh The random Captial LetterS?
  11. I saw a wrecked R33 near my place and i drove past it to work every day. Every day i promised myself I'd stop in and see if the guy wanted to sell some parts. Damn laziness.. the car was gone in a few weeks.
  12. I've never understood that saying...
  13. fknlol! From what i know the only point of a purge valve is to purge air and vapour out of the lines so that the liquid nos fully fills the lines... Its basically only used (properly) by extremely high end drag cars which need every last bit of performance. Most people who are into performance cars know this, so therefore when they see a dude in a stock looking R33 purging what appears to be nos, they instantly think -POSER- Your car doesnt need that mod for any reason other than to try to look cool. To make matters worse, you're talking about putting a FAKE version of a pointless modification onto your car. Thats twice as bad!
  14. Haha, i thought so!
  15. shiittt!! Sorry to hear mate. Good luck in getting her back!!
  16. Sweet! Thats almost certainly what it is then. The movement I can see is definitely in that hicas arm ball joint. Did you replace your ball joint Dave? Genuine or can you get aftermarket items?
  17. Does anyone know what Wink's plates are?
  18. Thanks Dave. I've checked everything again, and it seems that after putting the wheel back on that the noise is gone. I think that the wheel may have been a tiny bit off centre last time it was put back on. I've got spacers in the wheels and I think that the spacer on that side was sitting a little bit proud of the hub. Crunching noise is fixed, but I've still got a worrying amount of movement in the rear arms. Its definitely movement from the arms, not the hub. Would this be bushes that need replacement in this case?
  19. What was it timing??
  20. I am curious exactly how one goes about "global research"?? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3557561
  21. Someone who knows what they are doing can bypass any immobilisation eventually. Extra immobilisation points and creative ways of disabling the car just increase the amount of time that it takes for a professional to take the car.
  22. Just be careful. If you get a gay cop you're in serious trouble!!
  23. I also found some small ball bearings on the floor of my garage around where I was working... I am not sure whether they came from my car but it was a bit weird that they were around the area that I was! Im pretty sure they are too small to be from a wheel bearing, but just in case heres a pic of what I found.
  24. Hey i've got a wobbly left rear wheel. I noticed when decelerating (not braking) that i had a crunching noise that sounded like something rubbing on the brake shroud. It got less frequent as I slowed down, so it was definitely something rubbing. The wheels doesnt move 'up and down' but im able to wobble it side to side by pushing on the front and pulling on the back of the wheel. It looks like the hicas arm bush is made of jelly and so I suspect this may be causing the movement. I've got a hicas lock bar, and this seems to be tight and certainly not moving anywhere. Any ideas?
