  2. Yep, you can put 18x9.5" on the front and 18x10.5" wide on the rear (265 wide tyres) with only minor guard rolling on the back without any worries.
  3. They are fairly thin - 7.5inches. If you're putting 18 inch wheels on there you might as well increase the width by an inch above standard so you can fit a wider tyre and increase your contact patch on the road. One inch wider than stock is still 'legal' from memory (if you care!).
  4. 20k will get you a nice example.. I think he was referring to the 10k and 12k ones you were talking about from your importer
  5. At those prices... A rebuild is involved ($3,000-10,000) very shortly after buying unless its got recent and verified receipts of a full rebuild... and maybe cutting some rust out of an 89 model
  6. I can definitely recommend Aussie Car Compliance: http://www.aussiecarcompliance.com.au/cars4sale.htm I bought my car off Joel and it has barely missed a beat. The cars they sell are top-notch, not too thrashed (visibly, but I bought my R33 GTS-T with 55,000k's and engine compression tested at 150psi across all cylinders (ie. very good!)) Plus all cars come with full 12 months rego, and 12 months warranty. Dont trust the website, it hasnt been updated for a while. Just call Joel and tell him what you're after. If he hasnt got it, he'll certainly be able to bring it in and compliance it for you. I got mine straight from japan and somehow managed to be complianced even though it had an aftermarket turbo/computer and supporting mods. Supposedly they should be brought back to stock, but I have my suspicions
  7. Count me in for this one!
  8. I'm 50/50 about what I feel about that. half of me says "As if you'd thrash a collectable like the Z Tune in Dutton"... The other half says "What a waste if you didnt thrash a Z Tune in Dutton!!"
  9. lol i got one of these the other day. i was doing 40km/h in a 50 zone and an old guy walking along the road with his wife stops and stares at me driving past, and then in the rear view mirror i see him shake his head and keep walking -- wtf? You know you're driving a skyline when your insurance premium could feed an african family for 5 years.
  10. You know what the scary thing is though? The 32 would most likely scare the pants off a majority of performance car drivers. You're just getting used to the next level of 'scary'... where does it end? On second thought... Ignore what I just said, continue building the super fast scary R34! I want to see this monster!
  11. 4. Please Dont Type With Caps. Its Quite Annoying! Welcome to the forums! Owning a skyline is great, everyone owns them for different reasons. Unfortunately a lot of people are only interested in the stigma of owning a skyline for the 'fast and the furious' factor. Personally, I enjoy the adrenaline from driving fast on the track, and living life one quarter mile at a time (lol) Keep saving mate. You obviously know what you want. The harder you work to get it, the sweeter it will be when you finally get there
  12. another one bites the dust - at least its to one of the best causes possible!
  13. yeah thats a point.. if you're at all interested in the handling of your car, dont skimp on tyres. whatever you do dont buy nankangs! theres heaps of threads on here discussing opinions on tyres. generally, you get what you pay for.
  14. R33 will fit 10.5" wide rims on the rear, but good info!
  15. They're some seriously low profile tyres on that GTR!
  16. Tempe tyres sell HEAPS of different types of "showy" tyres. Most of it is cheap and nasty though. You get what you pay for, but Tempe is very cheap if you talk them down a bit. I would recommend NOT going to local tyre shops, because they will tear you to shreds on pricing. A large majority of their stuff (not name braded) is Tempe quality at 50% higher price.
  17. From memory they looked perfect. they werent that difficult a colour though. just normal silver colour.
  18. Wheel Repair Centre 8 Pioneer ave Thornleigh, 02 99801125 Did a good job on my Enkei's with cracks ($50 each from memory). Im sure a few scuffs will be nothing for them
  19. What morons... If you're driving a stolen car you DONT drive it like you stole it unless you're being chased - That's just asking for a high speed pursuit when you go flying past a HWP car who wouldnt have noticed you otherwise We're a hell of a lot more tame here than a lot of countries though, thank god!
  20. Why You Need Dissaplin For? Disiplin Is For Poofs. All You Need Is Punching Shit Bruz...
  21. yeah you're spot on. all of NSW is a gangland ghetto now. even the kangaroo's in broken hill are bussin caps in each others asses
  22. I see you live in Carlingford. There's a boxing club in Baulkham Hills i used to go to: Castle Hill Boxing Club, Unit 9, Masonic Schools, Seven Hills Rd. Baulkham Hills, Ph: (02) 9634 5517
  23. ...apart from the occasional nutcase on a bike on full tilt cutting a corner a bit much and taking up half your lane... and the occasional dropbear!
  24. There is a guide on how to do it somewhere here on SAU... Its quite simple from memory. Try the Tutorial section. Edit: Here you go... It involves removing the indicator stalk and bridging the gap between two points with solder. Pictures and all, this is about as simple as automotive electronics gets! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Du...html&st=40#
