  1. ^^ Fair call!
  2. BP Ultimate is better and cheaper than Shell Optimax IMO anyway... I get up to 45 knock on the PowerFC when using Optimax and only 20-25 max with Ultimate! This far from a perfect method of testing fuel mind you, but im not going to pay more for fuel that gives me higher knock! Give it a try, you havent got much other choice at the moment - hehe
  3. http://news.theage.com.au/shell-reports-pr...80125-1o6a.html BP at West Pennant Hills has still got a little bit (I say a "little bit" because 2 of the 4 pumps were out of service so I guess one of their tanks is empty)... The dodgey bastards have jacked the price up 3c though (now 13c more than regular unleaded) I dare say that it will be a few weeks before we see fuel in the pumps because the refineries are going to be catching up for a while once production starts again!
  4. So by your rationality no-one should take any preventative measures to protect their car whatsoever, because the thieves are just going to jack you at knife point anyway!? Puhlease! :laughing-smiley-014:
  5. Either the thieves have some sort of magical insurance radar to find the cars that arent insured, or a large majority of people dont have their cars insured at all!! I havent heard of ONE car stolen that has had insurance in a couple of years at least!!!
  6. Good thing these thieves brought their own steering wheel... Yet another car stolen which had no alarm/immobiliser
  7. Let me guess... No alarm, immobiliser or insurance
  8. Why do cars go missing all the time? Because people dont have immobilisers and decent security. Seriously, 9 out of 10 threads posted up here of stolen cars are simply due to the fact that people that didnt have a decent alarm on their car, which could mean that a majority of thieves are joyriders and amateurs - otherwise there would be a lot more high-end cars equipped with decent security stolen!! I've never heard of a car which has been stolen when there was no steering wheel on the car. Sure, it could possibly happen if a car was parked in a location where a tow truck could access it and it was towed away - in that case only GPS/GSM tracking will help!! Not having a steering wheel on the car means that you instantly rule out 9 out of 10 possible thieves: the amateurs and joyriders - that's pretty damn good for under $100 in my opinion! Sure, thats an estimated statistic but I'm certain that the large majority of thieves arent pro's! As for taking the air bag wheel off - thats a personal preference. Safety vs security!
  9. That is a ridiculous generalised statement... Unless you're a thief and you can tell me that YES you do in fact take your own steering wheel - in which case I'd call you a low-life piece of shit
  10. There is a special "goo" that is used as a sealant for the lights. I'd say that maybe your car has had the light removed for whatever reason and maybe it wasnt sealed properly with the goo when it was replaced. You can buy the stuff from Nissan dealers. I dont know what the technical term is for it though. Maybe try removing the light and re-sealing it. I dare say that the dealer has done a half-assed job (or no job at all!) in trying to find the leak. Careful not to get any black goo on your paint work though. It wont damage it, but its extremely difficult to remove!
  11. lol
  12. yeah you get used to it pretty quickly though. I've got long fingers so reaching the indicator stalk isnt too much of an issue.
  13. No you cant unfortunately. You need an aftermarket wheel. The QR sits between your wheel and the boss kit.
  14. Yeah but unfortunately for us adrian, you and I arent the normal target audience!!
  15. Unfortunately that doesnt make for exciting TV... People want to see cars sliding and burning rubber. A motorkhana looks relatively boring without all that
  16. There is no chance that it would come off unless you were pulling on it with some sort of cyborg hydraulic assisted metal arms. You'd probably bend your steering wheel before the QR gave way! lol
  17. Saw parts of the first episode on friday night - lots of heavily worked cars doing a skidpan day basically. Some technical overviews of cars and stuff. Had a worked S6 RX7, the queen street modded Fezza 360 (the one in auto salon i think), a modded 351GT, plus various other jap imports. I couldnt hear what they were saying about the cars, but it looked like a great show visually!! Better than ignition IMO because they had proper action shots (sorry in advance to the ignition fanboi's)
  18. well done shaun dumbass
  19. Just sent you a private message - I'd rather tell you privately. The less people that know about this, the better!!
  20. How much is the transformer option on the mustangs?
  21. Brilliant night guys! Great to meet some new faces! Thanks for organising it Andrew, well done!!
