  1. Holy craaap thats awesome! When I bought the car (from a private importer, i'm the first aus owner) the guy said "yeah it's got a stock turbo in it" Other mods that came with it: Apexi Power FC + Controller Apexi Boost control kit for PFC Apexi GT Spec Intercooler Apexi Strut braces front+rear Apexi N1 Spec Coilover shocks Apexi Exhaust I got it dyno'ed today at UAS at 185.2kw @ 0.9bar, and the guy said "Its in DESPERATE need of a tune (like 13-14 AFR all the way thru the range.. waaay too rich)" He also said "Has it got an aftermarket turbo?" when I said no, he said "Are you sure!? cos you have a VG30 Air sensor on there... plus different IC piping, so it looks like a bigger turbo has been on there at some point!" Hence, why I decided to look!! I cant see the red tag unfortunately.. I wont be able to see it unless i dismantle half the engine bay! I may just do that for peace of mind Thats great! what a bonus! Haha I'm gonna get it tuned and boost it up then!! Well bunta I hope all goes well, good luck with the install. please keep me posted on your progress! Thanks for the info
  2. Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows much about apexi turbos? I just found (after 6 months owning my car), that I have an aftermarket apexi turbo!! I never noticed as it's a low mount, and tucked away behind heaps of stuff! Does anyone know whether they are a good turbo or not, compared to the likes of Garrett etc. I'm trying to find info on apexi turbos but i cant find much at all. Any help would be appreciated!
  3. Ahh gotcha... Get some aluminium box-tube (get it from bunnings i guess). You could also use wood, etc etc etc.. Basically take a 5cm piece of it (or obviously however long it needs to be to make it flush), and put it between the plate and the bumper. Then thread your bolt through the number plate, through the spacer, and through the bumper and put your nut on the back. If you're using a small bit of wood or whatever, you just need to drill a hole through the middle of the wood to put the bolt through. I hope that made sense... anyway, thats how I did it initially
  4. I cut the edges off mine using tin snips, and used permanent marker to draw a fake black edge on the ends... looked mint (until I changed front bar to a 400R, now the cutting is pointless ) Thats what I would suggest as mine looked great. They were black writing on white background style.

  8. HR33 is generally an RB20E (ie. 2.0L Non-Turbo) ECR33 is generally an RB25DE(T) (ie. 2.5L turbo (or non-turbo)) Therefore, ECR33 is much faster than HR33 Google is your friend: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=hr33&meta= 2nd Result: http://www.meggala.com/r33main1.html
  9. sorry dude..
  10. Correct... Perfect fit.. wont get loose after time (eg. those dodgey 3 x allen screw ones)
  11. Hmmm.. yeah that kinda sounds right.. are they height adjustable also??
  12. Arrgh.. Thats ghey It's worth the wait though.. Awesome quality and feel
  13. Positives: - Looks awesome to people who appreciate it.. Negatives: - Incorrectly used, you can smash your front bar onto the pavement!! Not to mention exhausts etc. - Shitty car handling. I've heard that it makes your car handle like a boat, even when lowered! - EXPENSIVE!! - 70% of people (IMO) will think you're a total tool..
  14. Damn.. that sucks big-time I've noticed that all of the ones stolen recently have been un-insured. Is that just bad luck, or are there really that many people out there without full comp insurance?? I sure as hell wouldnt drive a car without insurance that is as powerful as skylines are for one, but are also as attractive to theives as a bleeding bull is to piranhas!! : Anyway, thats hardly the point. Good luck to your mate, I hope he finds the guy(s) and rips their bloody arms off!!!

  21. lol yeah i let my brother back my car out of the driveway last night (stupidly). He scraped my BRAND NEW 400R front bar along a brick wall and tore some paint off.. It's not too bad... only a 3cm x 1cm gash. That was his ticket to have a drive of my car out on the road, and he screwed it. Now he will never drive it!
  22. Spotted White R33 GTR - GET-53T ...turning off Kissing Point Rd. Sounded awesome just cruising past!
