  1. cheers guys truly amazing to see, it looked like king tide when i first got there (about 15 minutes it hit ground) , so its well and truly on the beach! i was watching the news not long ago and they were saying how all salvage plans have been put on hold for the moment.. so if your in the area, defiantly worth a look! for those who don’t know, in 1975 (i think) the sigma (similar tanker ship) ran aground on another newcastle beach and snapped in half, they have fears that this might do the same :| ill get some more pictures up over the weekend when the wind and rain has stopped Edit: also, the storm is clearing up, so the other ships that were in danger of running aground should be right.. hopefully wow :| i didnt hear that part, not sounding good
  2. just sent krystal a PM, any specifics needed or does she know?
  3. LOVE cima's, would definantly look at getting one of those one day
  4. looks great, lots of goodies on that stag!
  5. ill be there see you all nice and early!
  6. the only cedric iv seen around (in newcastle anyway) is my mates really nice deep maroon one, fairly old ( has the Z31 300zx turbo engine in it, VG30ET), reminded me alot of the laurel im sure youd be able to bring in a newer shape cedroc into australia.. theres plenty of new-ish chasers etc getting around so theres no reason why one of these couldnt be brought in?.. or is there im sure its already been done... once again, very nice yokotas i love it more and more every time i see the pics
  7. looks fantastic! congratulations mate
  8. theres still alot of pipe work there that isn’t needed this is considered to be the "cheaper" option, works just as well as any front facing plenums or manifolds if anyone cant tell whats been done, the TB outlet has been chopped and welded to the front of the plenum. pretty cool also in that topic about the greddy intake, heres a comment on the copy’s
  9. the intake/plenums on that site look like a greddy copies.. does anyone know how these (copys) perform? the greddys are suppose to be ace but i haven’t heard much about the copys i have a plazmaman plenum in my RB25 240z project, it cuts out over a meter of the pipes required for FMIC. cuts the a fair bit of lag, delivers cooler air to the engine (compared to standard plenum FMIC setup) also tidys up the engine bay quite a bit. as for high mount exhaust manifold, i think its just a easier way to make all the individual cylinder to turbo exhaust pipes all the same length.. and to also show off the turbo a bit more
  10. this feature is great but the turbo timer is a bit of a kill joy at the end of the day.. typically you would turn off your car and walk away leaving the turbo timer to do its business (mines set for 1 minute) but if you walk away while the car is still on (lights included) then it shuts down, the lights stay on because the door hasnt been opened.. it would have been fantastic if there was a feature that turned the lights off after 30 seconds on the auto setting. so i find myself turning off my lights when i get out of the car of a night time anyway because they dont turn off otherwise! (unless i cut the turbo timer while im still in the car)
  11. hope it wasnt who i think it is i think id cry if it is and this is suppose to be in the stagea section sorry my n00b skills posted this in the wrong section
  12. i just got a message from a mate saying that he just saw a stagea in the newcastle (NSW) area pretty messed up.. "the whole front kit was ripped off" and he said it has/had a FMIC, he thought it looked like a S1 aswell is it anyone from here??? are you ok?? by the way he explained it it sounds like a pretty bad crash either way hope your in good health edit: apparently happened out near the newcastle uni, kinda near the speed camera
  13. spotted and met the new owner of EGA-41T, nice to meet you mate, the stag looks tops!!
  14. wow it looks like a pretty handy device.. considering the reaction to this topic i wonder why its relatively unheard of / why so many s2's didnt come with a remote when imported
  15. looks fantastic! congratulations! very interested in knowing the spec differences but im sure youll be very happy with the car, very special
  16. i dont think its as severe to call it pinging, its hardly noticeable - defiantly not as you described.. its just like a very very faint sound, almost like a 1/20th of a miss.. its like idle idle idle then almost a tiny weeny pause then it keeps idleing.. the engine is standard ( including boost) with 104k's on the clock (belt done at 80k).. no reason why it would be pinging i usually use the higher octane petrol but the "boost 98" at my local united was out of order so i just went for the normal ULP. Tried to get a clip tonight but it wasn’t playing up..
  17. hmm nah mine idles pretty well, never had a issue on idle (except i can notice a slight faint popping coming from the exhaust on idle when i use basic unleaded petrol) its very hard to explain, i posted up that i would take a video of it - because it is so hard to explain. but i know what your saying, its a cut in power - for sure - when this sound happens, its kind of a exhaust grinding/exaggerated flame thrower sound.. it doesn’t do it all the time and its very unpredictable (asin, you can predict at around what rev range it will do it but you can say “im gonna get in the car now and its going to do it”) if that makes sense. about 60-65% of the time it happens id say.. sound like what you have?
