  1. hi does anyone know if the ecu cuts fuel or ignition or both???
  2. Happee birthday anna
  3. thanks Stretch but ive got one of those, I need a gtst seat to put three peeps in the back. thnx Keith
  4. Want to buy an r32 gtst rear seat can pik up from newcastle central coast or sydney needed before 13/6/07 Thanks
  5. I did the same test on my 32 gtr and got 11.2 peak on the positive BUT its the negative side that is varied above earth to control the pump voltage so to get a true reading you must test across the pump terminals and not from the positive terminal to earth. with the gtr modulator the minimum negative voltage is 2 volts above earth. So if you put adirect feed the pump positive the highest pump voltage will be 13.8 - 2 so 11.6 volts at the terminals.
  6. you can use a gtr boost guage sensor, beer baron had a couple of gtr boost sensors for sale a while ago you could go back to the stock setup [dropping resistor and relay] and wire another one in parrallel for the 044 except connect the negative to your wire direct from the battery i dont know when the ecu decides to go to high flow, probly airflow or throttle position or both.
  7. that could be ugly, it would go from 13.8v from the relay to 10.5v from the modulator im gonna have a led next to the boost guage to monitor when its on, its got separate adjustable cut in cut out so it can turn on above 8psi and off below 2 psi to make it stable.
  8. ok so it probly is hot fuel you could measure the return temp to prove it. I ran 8g from the battery to a distro block in the boot because the stock wiring was only supplying 10.5v to the pump so now it gets 13.8v at the pump. The gtr pumps 270 litres per hour at 14volts and will maintain flow up to 30 psi boost [according to tests done in the uk with a few different pumps] So its no slouch but in a stock gtr it only gets 10.5 volts max and 5.5v at idle/ low demand, the manual says its to save power but i think the heated fuel in traffic had a part to play in too and 10.5 v is ok at stock boost I got an adjustable voltage sensing relay from jaycar to connect to the map sensor for the sub meter boost gauge that will switch in a relay on the earth side of the pump at high boost but still allow the modulator to control the pump speed at idle/low loads and keep the fuel cool.
  9. The stock pump always gets +12volts but the earth side isnt a hard earth so if you havnt wired a hard earth you wont get full voltage across the original pump terminals because the negative terminal will be at about + 4-5 volts above earth at idle.
  10. hey Anthony have you bypassed the low voltage control for the intank [gts uses a relay and dropping resistor on the earth side of the pump and gtr uses an electronic modulator on the earth side so the pump only gets 5.5 volts at the pump on idle and light throttle that could cause cavitation at the 044 as its getting 14.4 volts
  11. hi the puller to use is a plate puller that bolts on using m6 bolts then the centre screw pushes on the steering shaft to remove the wheel.. its a handy tool because it is also used to remove the harmonic balancer off the motor with no damage[timing belt replacement]. if you have an r32 the straight ahead position sensor is different on early and later models so make sure when the wheel is straight that the big slot in the sensor wheel is inside the opto trap or else after 10 minutes of freeway driving you will get the warning light because the straight ahead signal will be not recieved too long. It wont happen in the suburbs because you are alway turning the wheel you will get the straight ahead signal when you are turning.
  12. leave the engine running go to the boot, on the left side under the parcel shelf lookfor a metal box with a flashing led. the led code will tell you what the error is ie 3flashes 1 second apart then a 2 second pause then 3 flashes this is error code 3 =right rear rotation sensor.
  13. hi just did a service on my r32 and the transfer case was empty and the gearbox was overflowing with a mixture of gear oil and atf. the distance since last service was 40,000k (recommended is 60000k) any one else experienced this
  14. hi my guess is your alternator is on its way out, probaly run out of brushes if your car has over 80k on the original alternator, the hicas light coming on is a symptom of low voltage, the hicas computer will reset and the light will come on then go out, the way to verify it is, there will be no fault code even tho the light has been on.[btw low fluid also has no fault code just the light on but your power steering will still work wheras during an ecu reset your power steering drops out.
  15. the paint vers nope wont attach the 1meg file i will mail it
  16. dont know if this is readable the paint version is 1meg you can see numbers is there a good way to send the 1meg file ?
  17. the test for the sensors is pretty simple, sensor circuits resistance is between 0.8k ohms and 2.2k ohm, you unplug the connectors at the ecu to do the test but its a bit hard to explain which pins on the plug, do you have a multimeter to test for resistance?
  18. hey christian the fault code is the number of flashes 1 second apart so if there is one fault say code =3 you get 3 1second flashes with 1 second between each flash then a 4 second gap then it will repeat the 3 flashes it will continue until you switch off the ignition. if you had 2 error codes say code 1 and code 3 then you get 1 flash then 4 seconds off then three 1 second flashes then 4 seconds off then 1 flash and continues until swithced off if you have 1 and 3 its 1 =right front speed sensor or circuit and 3=rear right speed sensor or circuit.
  19. sorry about the lame joke reference u know Q "do you want to go to the party?" As we do in aus answer the Q with another Q "is the pope a Catholic?" but way back when, there was an iconic australian washing machine and lawnmower brand name called Pope so the answer to the AQ is " no he is a washing machine" [end Dribble]
  20. Is the pope a washing machine?? Sara + Farsher
  21. hi Christian the attessa fault codes are done with an led in the attessa computer box in the boot under the parcel shelf on the passenger side. For example 3 flashes is right rear wheel rotation sensor fault [my gtr gets that code lately and both abs and 4wd light come on and no front torque at all].btw my car is r32 so i assume the 33 to be the same setup, you need to check for a code before you turn off the ignition because it resets at the next power up. hope this helps keith
  22. hi peeps im there sunday faxed the membership form and transferred the subscription on wednesday[last minute i know] i can get the start point off tinks so if some one there empties the fax im ready to roll.
