  1. Kate will be happy to hear that Not worried about accom Bec, I know you've always got it covered. You're like "super SAU organiser women happy time MAX" <-- I love engrish
  2. You will have a blast, just drive to your limits and be safe
  3. Not sure if an NA would pop flames without a cat, would depend on the tune of course. A lot of turbo cars will get some flames happening without a cat due to the richer tune.
  4. Drive your car up onto two bits of wood or something first then you can put something on top of the jack to give you the extra height you need, also, be sure it's on stands to work on it. Don't stress, with all the people there, we'll find a way to swap it out. Or if you're staying down there just do it at the hotel/caravan park etc and drive it to winton from there.
  5. Without a doubt Don't get caught on the street with that de-cat pipe. They are illegal and being an emissions related offense will carry a heavy fine. Swap it on at that the track. There will be more than enough jacks and tools if you don't have your own
  6. Don't sweat it. When you're there and you see some of the cars that pass you won't worry ever again.
  7. I''ll get to the form shortly but count me in for this. Provided I don't bin the car on Monday. EDIT: Forgot to ask, do we need a cage to take a passenger at these days?
  8. This is installed in the car now, will get some pics up shortly.
  9. Scratch that, found it straight away. Email sent.
  10. I have "a" surname. It relates to people living at the Cooks Ave address. I'll dig it up and shoot you an email, give me some time though as I have to dredge through a ton of email.
  11. lol yah maybe, just remember though guys, keep it legal. Being wronged doesn't give any of us the right to break the law or take it into our own hands. I spent a lot of time persuing legal civil action. It's hard but it's the right way.
  12. No way he will fix anyone up. Think I'm stuck with these R32 seats, no GT-R seats or my $500 in sight lol Having said that, my Velo is SEX
  13. Awesome, thanks mate. Tell you what, if we come up with something, you can have that dished wheel for free Though I do have it fitted to my car right this instant as I just fitted the velo and need the clearance for my knees Hello quick release kit..
  14. Hey mate, email sent. Cheers Dan
  15. lol I might pull the belt off but leave the stuff in there over the hotter months and see if I ever think "damn I want some aircon"
  16. Yay I voted for dave Democracy at work Well done to all.
  17. I've been thinking about this all day, still not swayed either way. I can see myself (and the missus) appreciating having the air con when staging etc coming into the warmer weather but also see that it IS weight that can be lost and a tiny bit less for the engine to do, though not much as it's obviously only requiring work when it's engaged. Hmm... lol
  18. lol I take it you're not the type to us AC while staging Dane?
  19. OK I'll turn the knife a bit more then and say maybe you're just not consistent enough with your lap times to get the gain Though I'm saying that purely for the comical value as I'm in the exact same boat Hmm...
  20. Side pipe is another option but that does cost more money, removing the AC in the short term is free. (Will cost to get re-gassed later though) Sounds like you're pretty serious lol I think that's half my issue. Wanting to get busy on it but not wanting to go too far due to issues arising with re-sale. Sure it's reg'd but not many people will want a fully stripped out 'street' car lol No cooling issues thus far (did have some oil issues but fitted a cooler) but I bouht it in the cooler months, only had it since May or so? The radiator appears to be a brand new item. I didn't know anyone ever ran with the a/c on for track days. Am I alone in thinking that seems a bit 'soft'? Sorry no nice way to say it =\
  21. I'm contemplating ditching all the engine bay components of the air con system but from what I have read through searching, there's only 10kg's worth of gear and bugger all gained from not having the belt attached. Sound about right? My car is a dedicated track/fun S13 but it is still street reg'd (though not road worthy I'm sure). I've done some basic weight reduction stuff like removing all the boot stuff, spare wheel, jack, rear seats, rear speakers and parcel shelf, upgraded the drivers seat and put some volks on it but that's mainly in the rear so any more weight removed should probably come from up front. Who has done this and what did you actually find afterward, worth the effort? The issue for me is not comfort as I don't drive it on the street but more about re-sale when it comes time to let it go. FYI my car is only a CA18DET with a turbo back exhaust, front mount and a bit of boost. I realise I will gain more from a turbo upgrade etc and that's coming, just interested in the air con removal for the moment.
  22. BUMP - Make me an offer guys, this stuff has to go.
  23. I'm currently sitting in my new Velo I put it on top of my office chair and I'm working in it lol. Yay
  24. Great success http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wh...le-t282639.html Those Volks are now in my garage.
  25. Great success http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wh...le-t282639.html Those Volks are now in my garage. Test fitted a front rim this morning and they clear the coilovers and the bigger calipers
