  1. I'm not up to speed on what's required, so the JJR hubs fully replace the existing hubs, track doesn't change etc? $550 for the kit isn't cheap, the wheels would have to be crazy cheap to compensate, could just as easily spend couple hundred more on the 4 stud rims than I planned and still be ahead and no stuffing with rotors... hmmm
  2. Could be done I suppose, what else is needed for 5 stud besides the hubs?
  3. haha and bin my new brakes and rotors lol
  4. Yeah someone else suggested him too so I'll hit him up. Thanks dude, bit expensive though for a budget track car build =\ Offset might be interesting on my S13 too (as far as inner clearance goes). Yeah had him mentioned too, will hit him up also, thanks!
  5. Yeah it seemed nice but wasn't cheap, this is a budget build Hard balance I know ti find decent seat for good money. I'd like to hear from anyone who has/had a Velo Milano
  6. lol ahh there we go, there's the clincher lol I think there's a bit more involved in a 5 stud conversion than just hubs. Plus my brakes are new and 4 stud.
  7. At first I was like Then I was like lol
  8. For what? to ask them if the GP-90 is a better seat? I'd prefer to make my own mind up by sitting in both. My issue is being in Alb/Wodonga and not being able to sit in both easily.
  9. lol thanks mate but I might struggle to fit my 17" 235 wide semi's on those
  10. Nice, thanks for that. Unsure if the GP-90 is worth the extra over the Milano, problem is I can't sit in them locally.
  11. Hmmm.... I conclude that S13s suck lol
  12. I've got BC brand BR coilovers, cheap shit ones but they do the job OK. I'm having trouble finding almost anything suitablle. I'll get under the car and check out some clearances tonight. Even an 8" wide rim with +30 is going to eat up another 3mm inner clearance..
  13. Ahh thanks Ryan. Cutting out and welding in new mounts is getting a bit serious (I'd have to get a mate to help as I'm not that metal fab savvy) I was hoping for a bolt in solution. Side mounted seats allow height adjustment though don't they? All the mounts I have looked at have at least 5 holes for height?
  14. Thos Drift Teks seem popular but come in either 8" +34 or 9" + 35 which will give me less clearance than I have now. I'll have to check ow far out the rim is as the tyre is just clearing at my camber settings but I'm not sure where the rim is sitting right now.
  15. Yeah thanks Leigh, I need to hear that right now lol...
  16. Cheers, will ask him what he has.
  17. lol thanks Russ, not sure if that's a compliment or a slap in the face Does Tim lurk about on the forums?
  18. Ahh OK, Cheers for that. So if i can find a set of rims 8" all round and +30 at the highest i should be right, or I could also go 9" and +30 on the back if I find a set that has staggered rim widths. The car maks SFA power, wouldn't be more than 130rwkw's at the most at present. Will get more down the track.
  19. Niss: As per my PM on NS "I've been reading a few offset/clearance threads and you and I seem to be on the same page, that is tyres that fit the rim PROPERLY. I've got some 235/45/R17 semi's and I'm looking for suitable rims to go with them. At the moment they are ballooned onto my 17x7 ET40 rims and they look bad and don't handle well. also, they JUST clear the springs up front . (-2.5 camber) I'm thinking 17x8 rims all round (is this wide enough) or if I go 9's all round will I have clearance issues? I'm not sure what offset to get either. To throw another spanner in it, I've got S15 calipers up front and I'm still running 4 stud. Thoughts? " Those enkies I went to get in melb turned out to be 7J up front so I drove home (3hrs) empty handed. Is an 8 or 9J going to be better and what sort of offset should I be looking for to ensure the inner clearances are OK. Finding wheels has been an nightmare...
  20. Awesome, thanks, what's his username on here?
  21. Thanks for that, looks great but probably a bit out of my price range though.
  22. Further to my thread here What are some places and I can look to try and find something suitable besides NS, SAU, Boostcruising and eBay?
  23. There's also the Milano http://www.motorsportworld.com.au/products/velo/index.htm (top seat) which appears to be a GP-90 without the removable/adjustable seat cusions. anyone have one of these? Also, do the rails need to be modified to fit in an S13? Don't suppose you know this Ryan given you used Bride rails which were probably S13 specific?
  24. I tried this at revolution http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index...rimary&CDO= and it was OK but the shoulders didn't grab enough. I also tried this one http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index...rimary&CDO= But it seemed to twist and flex a bit and is almost $900 without rails etc. The Velo GP-90 is looking pretty good at the moment. Merdian has them for $648 http://www.mmsport.com.au/productview.php?...&ppid=Seats But that doesn't include rails and I doubt it includes the mounts either. Do the side mounts allow height adjustment? Other factor is postage, the Cobra is already here available locally. Velo has to be shipped.
  25. I just went to our local revolution and sat in some Cobra's they seem alright. Even the base model $450 one was OK. Though it lacked a little shoulder grip that the more expensive ones had. I'm gonna go sit in my mates Velo GP-90 in the next day or two to compare. They're about 650 and comply with ADR's where as the Cobra's don't. Technically my car is still street reg'd so the ADR stuff is a nice bonus.
