  1. nah car is going to be more for circuit and on the odd occassion it does see some dorifto it'll be on the 7" rims with skinny rubber so I have any chance of spinning them up
  2. My semi's arrive tomorrow so for DECA it'll be 235/45's on 7" wide rim and then towards the end of the month when the dude sells me those rims it'll be those tyres on an 8" rim.
  3. I've got dibs on being the slowest and most underpowered!
  4. Damn you two and your bloody names
  5. Awesome That's a bloody tough call. While I'd love a look at (and a ride in!) the Cortina as it looks the goods, I'll be bringing the Sil so I'm naturally wanting more S13/180's around lol You did bring the 180 last time though so maybe it's time for the Cortina to come out and play? Such a tough life you have deciding which car to bring along... tough life indeed...
  6. I "think" they are RE55's I did ask but I have kind of half forgotten. I'm just getting some second handers on the cheap to see what I think. Fitted rear camber arms last night too... full sik etc etc
  7. Sounds bloody handy, you coming to this deca or did you say u were working? In breaking news... I have some semi slicks turning up tomorrow so no more jokes about my crap tyres I was checking out those crap tyres last night and noticed large chunks missing out of them on the inside edge... guess they don't like drift and track days or camber...
  8. Hmm offset calc said would have 7mm less clearance internally to the shock so I imagine this rubbing will continue to be an issue, of well.
  9. an ezzy out and lots of luck damn it! offer them beer for some fast (and good) work lol
  10. If the queen room goes begging Kate and I would take it as that's what I was after initially. Just for the Saturday night Oh god... mexican again?!
  11. rip it out I say then you can always put it back in if you want later. My boot and rear of the car is stripped. Once you get started it becomes addictive! Extractors can be a bitch when it comes to bolts holding it on, especially if it's never been off. Have snapped a few bolts in the past working on exhaust =\
  12. I just bought the cheapy ISC ones, they're $159 (delivered was $174 I think) What I didn't realise was they are painted in blue glitter paint... it sparkles lol
  13. Well that I can't help ya with. While you're procrastinating... I'll be fitting rear camber arms tonight
  14. Which reminds me I need to get mine tightened up at some stage too. Any diff place should be able to help u out pretty cheaply. Plenty of people on NS are doing it themselves though too.
  15. Know how ya feel, I'm still in the process of ordering stuff that I hope to have ON the car before DECA and I'm away in Melbourne this weekend... (I've lined up to pickup a part while I'm away... dedication lol)
  16. Or you can be like me... spin out with little wheel spin and zero smoke coz you have no power or driving skill
  17. Yeah I had the picture of what I had seen with rub marks on it wrong in my head. I've attached a pic which shows the inner guard/chassis rail is what got rubbed, I have that on both sides. Also, my ride height is about 350mm rear and 345mm front (measured from rim centre to guard lip) My clearance from the tyre to the shock is roughly 70-55mm (hard to see without getting right in there and I'm already dressed for work)
  18. I'm up for a battle with anyone, skilled driver in GT-R, Race driver in a race car, I don't care It's a blast anyway. Me and MY Ca will take on the WORLD lol
  19. LCA = lower control arm, I've already got some marks on mine from the drift day, but as I mentioned shouldn't be a huge issue for circuit. Yeah I'm awaiting clearance measurements.
  20. I'm 3hrs away and while the Sil is road reg'd it's not the best car to be doing trips to melb in. I was planning on rolling down in the BA and picking them up. I don't mind having to lip the guards ever so slightly but I'm more interested in caliper clearance and the possible contact with the LCA as I already have some marks on mine with the current rim/tyre combo but that was from the drifts which these rims would not be doing (as they will have my semi's on them)
  21. pics oft he actual rims fitted to the car they are currently on
  22. Third that, go dave go!
  23. Haha ok I admit I might have chucked in a thinly veiled F & F reference...
