Hell no, I measured it on the ground, no point doing it while the suspension is sagging... My car is not crazy low nd only has stock rear bumper so there's plenty of space for me to slide my head/arms in there. Did the same for the fronts. I'm waiting on him to get back to me as he posted a pic showing the wheels on a "a" car but I don't think it was his car. I have found another thread (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Volk-Racing-Emu-Wheels-t239784.html&mode=threaded) so I'm going to PM that guy too with some questions as he had the exact same offset. He says they fit, no mention of spacers and that they clear R33 brakes (I have S15 calipers up front). Given the details on that second thread, wouldn't surprise me if they were his rims... I'm definitely doing my homework.

Trial fitting is an issue as the wheels are in Melb and I'm in Wodonga 3hrs away, the Silvia though street reg'd is not really road worthy modifications wise so driving it to melb and bak would be asking for trouble =\ So I've gotta have some faith in the offset calculator and 2.5cm less inner and 2.5 more outer doesn't seem that bad. I was under there last night and the gap between the rim and the shock was pretty big. U've got me nervous now, I'll have to re-measure...

According to the offset calculator I used (http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp), they'll have 25mm less inner clearance and stick out 25mm further on the outside edge. From what I looked at last night under the car this should fit. If there's something you know that I don't by all means speak up Don't wanna get stuck with crap rims. Looked like there was a fair bit of inner clearance at present with the 7" rim on the back and we're only talking about taking up another 2.5cm more. Am I missing something here Roman?

Thanks guys, see what I can turn up. I'm onto some Volks for around the 700 mark at the moment, see how we go. I'm keen as but we'll see what happens, maybe it's third time lucky. Yep that's right, this will be the third attempt.... First set where advertised as 114.3s and were 100s, the second set were advertised as 8" all round and when I got there (3hrs each way to melb) the fronts were 7" wide... despite me confirming details and getting pics etc. Fingers crossed!

You might be able to tell me what it is inside the BA auto's that breaks, some internal tank thing. Can't remember what it was when I was having the discussion with a gearbox guy.

Thought I'd better post an update to this. I did end up towing the car to DECA and the BA managed fine though it did drink the fuel. 150k's for half a tank so bare that in mind. Having said that I did sit on 105 or so on the highway. I might look around some wreckers for a heavy duty tow pack and invest in a trans cooler down the track. I've read some interesting things about BA auto's breaking something internal to the box that can be bypassed for an external one (not sure if they're talking about a cooler or not) more research is needed. Ultimately, was all OK. Just give yourself plenty of space to brake.

I'm embarrassed to say that yes I do a bit. Black FTW! I could also go something that was black with grey trim or black with red or blue trim depending on how much is there. Of course price is the ultimate factor, if the difference between red and black is $100 or something then I might just have to take the red etc

The 8's are +34 and there's also 9's in +35, they have a few diff combo's but these seem to be the most common. Is it common AND safe to get 5 stud rims re-drilled?

I was talking about suitable offsets etc in another thread and Nisskid said to steer clear of the Koya's. I know a new set can be had for around the 1300 odd dollar mark. the offsets are super awesome though, +34 in the 8" wide if I recall. Would be a touch less inner clearance but if it needed a spacer at the front it would be a tiny one I think.. Hard to tell clearance to the shock when the car is off the ground, even when jacking the wheel back up. Need a pit!
