  1. Given the Volks are in my garage now you can probably list these as sold
  2. Cracked the sh1ts and just bought this and some side mounts. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...sid=p2761.l1259
  3. Yep, the fakes are shown with a cloth behind them in most cases.
  4. Go here http://www.bride-jp.com/ then click this COPY商品にご注意下さい (third from the top or so) then choose a model have a browse
  5. I thought so too, but I'd rather not risk it.
  6. From what I have seen there's a few things. The Bride tag is missing the "made in japan" part the harness hole on the bottom should have a hard plastic surround. the quality of the stitching isn't the same, the material on the cusions is slightly different and the location of the velcro is also different. There's no sticker above the left hand (when looking at the seat dead on) harness hole either that's just for starters.
  7. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...ke-t285987.html putting it to the masses with a heap more pics
  8. Going for $500, reckons he paid $1200 odd for it and it's still in plastic (has gotten a bit dusty from being stored at a panel beaters) has the plastic still on the back of it too. Said he bought it and was too big for it. I've looked at countless threads and if it is fake it appears to be a better quality fake than some I am seeing. The hole in the base and the surround on that seems a bit dodge as does the location of the velcro (according to this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...html&st=20). And is a fake worth $500 is the other question when I could go buy a base model cobra fixed back with mounts for $570. (But I don't tjhink it can be used with rails..
  9. I dunno... I'm not 100% on this. In person the colours of the seat (the shoulder protection bolsters) and the cushions are much darker and looks like the bride PDF's (blame flash for that) The tag looks good but there's no sticker above the harness hole on the seat itself. He said it cost him around $1200 bucks but that it was too small for him so he just bought a bigger seat.
  10. I went back and took some pics (attached) Then compared that with the "how to tell a fake" images on the bride website. http://www.bride-jp.com/ click on COPY商品にご注意下さい third from the top on the left The seat is a VIOS3 from what I can compare. It's got the same silver back as the genuine on in the pics also. The seat is a little dusty as it's been stored at a panel shop, I'm filthy from going there lol
  11. The seller reckons he paid $1200 odd for it but it's too small for him. I will go check it out again this morning now that I know what I'm looking for replica wise. MY query is more about how to tell if they are too tight. I know it should be snug but I can't seem to find any rule of thumb for how tight is tight enough or too tight. I had to wiggle a little bit to fit into this one but once i stretched my legs out into the driving position it was a bit better but I still felt notable pressure on the upper leg bone beneath the hips.
  12. Hmm how tight is too tight. I was offered a brand new Bride low max for $500 today, guy who bought it didn't realise the sizing and it's a snug fit for me. I do feel some pressure on the ball of the bone at the top of the thigh (on the sides) but i dunno if that's good or not. Is there a rule of thumb for how tight is right? It's brand new and very cheap =\ Offered mates rates as it's through a friend of a friend. Looks like this http://www.more-japan.com/files/d_621.jpg I'm not sure exactly what model it is but I'm wondering if it's a replica. I'm looking at the bride website now.
  13. Yeah have been checking there as well. A PRO2000 for under $300 is crazy, aren't they like 1200-1400 new? Shit, that's an awesome price even if it is ugly as sin
  14. Have you had any luck finding a crazy deal? I had a GP90 lined up for very good dollars but a local buyer came and paid cash and picked it up over the weekend while I was still getting freight quotes
  15. [email protected] <-- is my msn Feel like going to check out these Volks in Doncaster? lol he said they are sound structurally though and he seems genuine as I already told him I would be pissed off if I drove down and they were shit. Scratches and marks I don't mind though, they are track rims after all. I'm also happy to inspect things/take pics etc for people up here also. Hahah, damn, would have been great to know that
  16. I drove down to melb last weekend to buy those exact rims. They were advertised as 8" all round but are only 7" on the front ()ad has since been fixed). That's too narrow up front so I drove 6hrs for nothing... Thanks for the find though, I did intend on buying those. Looks like I'm buying the Volks.
  17. They're 5 stud though dude
  18. Hah, I will if these Volks don't come through, I've posted in the thread and PM'd him, no response. The ONLY downside to those sexy VX's is that they look very pretty and I'd hate to scrape them up, which I will definitely do because I can't drive for beanz I've already told Jin that those wheels are second on my list!
  19. Ohhh.... I'll see how I go with these Volks, if they fall through these are next on the list I think.
  20. Wow they are damn nice but I'm waiting to hear back from the guy with the Volks as they are really cheap and it is a budget track car. Damn you for throwing those up! Don't suppose you'd take some crazy cheap price for them? PM me if you like... I wouldn't offer you 700 like those Volks but I can't afford 1500 either =\
  21. You are spoiled for choice then you bastard Definitely post pics when u hook something up. You going to Nov DECA? Why won't these people get back to me... is it that hard to reply to a PM and let me give you money...
  22. What's GT-R offset and I'll keep my eye out for you. After anything in particular style wise?
  23. We might STILL be in business... "hey, checked the link, they arnt mine, as one of my centre caps were missing. yeah they cleared 33 brakes no probs with no spacers. the camber set up was purely cosmetic. they didnt require an special suspension adjustment. if u get them for a s13 they will fit no worries" That's from the guy in the second link. So if the seller will get back to me... we could have a winner
  24. Hell no, I measured it on the ground, no point doing it while the suspension is sagging... My car is not crazy low nd only has stock rear bumper so there's plenty of space for me to slide my head/arms in there. Did the same for the fronts. I'm waiting on him to get back to me as he posted a pic showing the wheels on a "a" car but I don't think it was his car. I have found another thread (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Volk-Racing-Emu-Wheels-t239784.html&mode=threaded) so I'm going to PM that guy too with some questions as he had the exact same offset. He says they fit, no mention of spacers and that they clear R33 brakes (I have S15 calipers up front). Given the details on that second thread, wouldn't surprise me if they were his rims... I'm definitely doing my homework.
