I dont remember the exact name of the ppl that did mine but if you look in the Trading Post in the Auto section they're the ones that come out to you...Although its usually accompanied with an alarm setup.... They've got 3 different packages to choose from which give you different features....

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
GTR_STEALTH replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
NOTICE TO SAU PEOPLES I have received an email from Mark and he has assured me that my controller should be at my doorstep today. He even provided me with the tracking number. The reason he has not been able to respond to peoples query emails or on this forum is that he is a VERY busy person as he works a full time job and is pretty busy meeting EVERYONES needs. From his email: "I work full time and spend a vast amount of time making these controllers, organising post and I receive more emails than I can possibly answer right away" But rest assured your boost controller WILL arrive Thankyou Mark -

GTR_STEALTH replied to PHATR32's topic in General Maintenance
Suppose you could always buy one of those 2Litre refill bottles of good oil to flush the rest out after u've drained it....Run it for 2-3min then drain that last bit out before you fill it properly.... Did that make sense??? -Drain crap oil -Put in 2 Litre of good oil -Run engine for 2-3min -Drain the 2 Litres & Change filter -Fill with good oil -Done....Have a beer! -

Ok, I was browsing through the For Sale section and noticed that not many people advertise 'correctly' (ie: Location details in title) making it time consuming when sourcing parts in a particular state/city. Sooooo, I was wondering if a layout like this was possible: For Sale(Parts) - \in VIC \in NSW \in QLD \etc \etc For Sale(Private Vehicles) - \in VIC \in NSW \in QLD \etc ....and so on and so forth...... Not sure of others but im not really a fan of purchasing secondhand items from another state without the option of physically checking it ova for fear of being ripped off. You could maybe even put another category under Parts for "Air Freight Sales"...but that might be going over bored...

Questions About The Laws In Vic About High Powered Cars..
GTR_STEALTH replied to Fugi's topic in Victoria
Yer as Kaz180 stated, i think they're getting it mixed up.... Here's the specifics.... Road Safety Regulations 1999 Division 2-Learner and probationary drivers 211. Vehicle power restrictions (1) The holder of a probationary driver licence must not drive a high powered motor vehicle on a highway until the probationary period shown on his or her licence has expired. Penalty: 3 penalty units. DEFINITIONS "high powered motor vehicle" means a motor vehicle (other than a motor cycle or motor trike) which- (a) has a power mass ratio which exceeds 125 kilowatts per tonne; or (b) has an engine capacity which exceeds 3.5 litres per tonne of the unladen mass of the motor vehicle; In your situation i think your fine.... -
My apologies if I have come accross as argumentative. It was not my intention. I was simply elaborating on my initial statement of how the whole post sounds dodgy as analyising "statements" is part of my job. I do not understand why you have pointed out that you feel my post is "not constructive" as i can point out a million posts in a million threads that are alot worse yet no-one has pulled them up on those. It was simply my opinion. What i find more distressing is that a person has started a thread on this forum (and others) name bashing a company which I feel is not constructive yet nothing was mentioned there, apart from the EDITING of course. And the fact that he has posted up on many other forums not only proves that he is name bashing but that if he genuinly felt ripped off and put the amount of effort into getting his issue resolved (Through consumer affairs) then he would have his answers and a much brighter outcome for all. No i dont have any affiliation with the company....i dont even know which one it was. Again, my apologies if i've come accross as argumentative but people who set out with the intention to crush someone else really bugs me....

Whining High Pitched Noise From Drivers Side

....maybe a slipping alternator belt/bearing??? If it was a wheel bearing then it would be consistent. -
Something sounds dodgy to me.... ....So what you're telling me is that you were standing behind the counter asking, "Please, may i have a refund?" when the staff member came around the counter and pushed you to the ground for no reason? It sounds to me like you got very aggrevated; tried to "fight" the staff member and THEN he pushed you to the floor.... ...Strange. Why didnt you ask him to show you where the damage was exactly? Again, are you really telling me that you rang them up and then all of a sudden without warning they started swearing at you for the simple fact that they wanted to "punish" you? WHAT I THINK HAPPENED You bought this grill for yourself.(I'll explain at the end 'why') ...You tried to fit it to your car and it either didnt look good or you couldnt fit it on. You then tried to return it but there were markings/scratchings/fingerprints all over the item which ment that it was not fit for resale. YOU then became very abusive as you could see that you weren't going to get your way and yes the staff member felt threatened by your actions. You rang up the 'other' place for help in a very abusive manner which in turn you received the same treatment. Now, the reason why i beleive you bought this grill for yourself is because you had specifically signed up to this forum to make that post(Evident by the JOINED DATE and POST DATE)....meaning that you didnt want ppl to know who exactly it was we're dealing with. As you are a regular member of this forum ppl may have noted that YOU drive a WRX and put two and two together. *Waits for excuses in naka's reply.

Loud Tapping Noise For A Short Time When Cold
GTR_STEALTH replied to NYL83R's topic in General Maintenance
I would guess that you prob didnt have the dipstick in properly or the cap wasnt tightend properly. With your car at idle take the dipstick out and you will notice a change in note of the revs....soooo, maybe at cold when the oil is at the bottom it was struggling to get the pressure up and so the lifters were suffereing.... -

Timing Belt Cover Rb25det
GTR_STEALTH replied to GTR_STEALTH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
....Faaarrrkkk!!! Thanx for the super quick reply... So does the CAS need to come off the cover FIRST? (Or does it stay attached to the cover?) Then take off the cover yeah? -
Howdy pplz, I've got an R33 S1 '93. According to the stamp on the Timing Cover it was changed in '98(cant remember now) and stamped 70,000km. My car has just ticked ova the 100,000 km... My delemma: Well seeing as everyone already knows that u cant trust the current km on the clock im not sure exactly how much it has done since the last change. Soooooo.... Just wondering whats the go in regards to taking off the timing belt cover so i can inspect the belt condition. Is there anything i need to be carefull of such as the CAS going out of alignment??? Can anyone type up a quick run down of what to do....? (I've got an idea...But not 100% sure) : EDIT: I'll be getting the belt changed soon...Its just a question of how soon!!!

Sounds like it could be ur belt slipping.....alternator?

R34 Remote Start Problem.
GTR_STEALTH replied to GTX-R34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Not sure wats the go with a factory fitted... ...but i had one installed with my alarm. If u try to open the door manually whilst it is ARMED then it shuts off. You have to unlock it via the remote and then you can open the door with the car still running. -
