  1. You just answered your own question. Getting them flow tested will confirm. What ecu are you running?
  2. +1 for using two 1.3mm restrictors. Just using one 1.5mm might be ok for a solid lifter setup.
  3. Any r32 clutch pedal will fit, just get one and reinforce it with a few mig welds. For the price of the nismo item you could buy a small island in the bahamas.
  4. Stock turbo? Sounds like the turbo seal is possibly leaking. The unburnt fuel from being rich sticks to the oil and forms a crusty coat in the exhaust and it'll start to crumble off when it gets built up enough.
  5. Holy crap! That was one hell of a shot not to hit anything but the bonnet. It's good that it didn't go into the windscreen and you got out of it uninjured. From what it looks like it'll be bonnet, radiator support and radiator plus the a new pair of pants to replace the ones that got sharted.
  6. You could put up a post in forced induction to help find a workshop with gtr experience in your area.
  7. You didn't hear a guy riding along swearing at his mountain bike did you?
  8. I've spotted an R33 that was charcoal grey i think, i couldn't tell because i was busy gawking at the gold BBS mesh wheels... i think those wheels could help make my R31 look good, just don't look at the rest of the car.
  9. Did anyone else read this part or is it just me? I'm very sure cro-moly rings aren't supposed to break like that. What happened with replacing that ring, where did you get it from?
  10. I'm after an easier way to heatshield my engine bay and the thin, flexible stuff the xr6 turbo's use would be ideal. Does anyone know if you can buy this off the shelf anywhere?
  11. I bought an rb25 vrs kit intending to use most of them but I only ended up needing the head gasket and gasket sealant. $160 delivered or $140 if you pick them up. I'm in Geelong. Will separate if needed.
  12. price drop $140
  13. I'm guessing the gearbox has been out of the car and the oil has leaked out the tailshaft hole, am i right? You should make sure you get all the old oil out through the bottom drain, then just fill it with 3.8-4L of oil and you're set.
  14. I don't see the point in messing around and making your car go like a slug just to save a few penny's. It's already been said but i'll say it again... control your right foot better, that also goes with things like how you use your gears and how you decelerate. Controlling how you bring on power with your right foot along with short shifting and letting the engine over run on deceleration are a sure fire way to save a good amount of fuel and not have to screw around and deal with a sluggish car. If you're that desperate for fuel economy the word "hatchback" comes to mind.
  15. Hmm for sale section anyone?
  16. MrStabby has it right. R32Abuser you need to re-think your mechanical force concepts.
  17. A standard satin black wrap would look way better, the only way a carbon fibre look is cool is if it's actually carbon fibre. I'm guessing he spent all his money on the F40 and only had enough to do a fake carbon wrap and make that ugly little add on wing.
  18. A more direct path for air/fuel to travel would fill the cylinder quicker but it would lack the turbulence required to evenly spread the mixture around the cylinder. This would cool down the side of the cylinder which is in the path of the intake flow causing one side to cool down more than the other which is no good for piston/bore clearances.
  19. Too many moving parts to wear out and/or fail.
  20. price drop $150 delivered
  21. If the breather hoses added to the back of the rocker covers don't have good baffling it will definatley contribute to some oil getting into the can.
  22. An important piece of info hasn't been answered yet..... have your lifters been pulled apart and cleaned yet?
  23. Yeah that does sound like head gasket, did you notice it start smoking when it was at a high temp? You'll need to get the head re-surfaced and depending on what the head was bolted down with it's a good idea to get a set of ARP head studs as a bit of added insurance. With a set of ARP head studs and a genuine nissan head gasket you'll be sealed up well. As for whats causing the temp fluctuations... that's a tough one. Are you using an engine fan or thermo? I'm guessing the condition of the coolant that came out was good so we can rule out blocked water galleries and/or radiator... am i right? Who installed the thermostat and did the coolant flush, was the system bled properly?
