I want to get rid of an Aqua One tank and accesories that's taking up room. I bought it second hand off a friend who bought it new and he only had it setup for a couple of months. The dimensions of the tank are: L=800mm W=400mm H=600mm It comes with An Aqua One CF-1000 canister filter and Aqua One light. The stand has a bit of damage to the vinyl covering on the right side but it isn't really noticeable. I'm just after what I paid for it which was $260 but I am negotiable.

The short fuel return tube that is in the tank may have been sucking a good amount of air bubbles in along with the fuel whan it surges around the tank, causing your 044's to cavitate and lose a lot of pressure. That would have lead to a lean out condition for sure. If the tank was a bit lower on fuel the suction would never have happened and the surge tank would have just run out of fuel.

I see there have been seven sold... those poor people. There has to be some false advertising law to stop that surely.

That's on all motul because they're not stocking it anymore. I swindled the last bottles of 300v from my local repco which should do me for a good while.

Set of six GTR injectors I have no need for anymore due to fitting 680cc injectors. They were cleaned and flow tested 7000k's ago and have no problems. I want $250 for them and I can post for a little extra otherwise pick up from Geelong. PM if interested.

Dump the oil and have a look at it, if it's got shitloads of tiny little spots of copper coloured shit it's your bearings. If it is the bearings you can bet it was the 20w-60 mineral oil that did it. Unless you start up your car and not touch the throttle for a good 5-10min 20w-60 oil is going to ruin your engine.

I can vouch for this car, it runs like a dream. Shame you have to sell it.

It says its made of 4140 high tensile steel, judging by all the positive ebay feedback you'd think it was a well made product.

How many k's has it done and what sort of mods? It sounds like it's rings and/or bores which are the problem, oil wouldn't be burning under WOT if it was valve stem seals.

The BOV piston could be a bit gunked up and sticking open a little. You could try just tightening the BOV right up and gioing for a quick drive.

Just get a turbosmart manual boost tee for about $50, set boost your max boost then tighten the grub screw and leave it. All you need to do then is control your right foot... simple.

Didn't the guy who say he put a 0.2mm interference fit? If that came off easily it must have been 0.02mm. Anyway it ended better than expected so that's a plus. Post up how it runs when it's all setup.

Just put a very small amount of gasket sealant on the stud thread when you put it in. edit: A small ball of "knead it" metal putty dropped in and pushed down with a bolt would work to seal it up too. And also what the slap man below me said.
