  1. VG30's are in no way laggy on an RB20 id know coz im running one. Making 180rwkw with boost from 2500-redline. Great little ball bearing turbo. But im in the same boat and wanting more. Apparantly TD05-16G's or 18G's are the way to go for a fair amount of power to lag ratio. 230-260rwkw with good response (Kelly McKinnon runs one). And the HKS 25-30's are a good mix with minimal lag for power giving around 230 as well.
  2. Ok, what’s the deal with different pads Front and back? Nathan, I didn’t see the 8500N’s listed, are they a step up from SSS? I friend of mine commented that R34 GTT has ok brakes on the front and are a little small at the rear. Is this where better rear pads play a part? Using different ones, coz im building my car for drift, and rather then needing full grip rear i chose to go down one step to the 8500's coz its only handbrake, and they dont fade too much no matter how much i lock it up. And the SSS's at the front give me full braking protection and dont fade till over 500 degree's celcius.
  3. Il give you my diff if you sell me yours and u can just shim that? that'l stop your clunking, i just need a 2-way and getting it for that price is killa
  4. Standard ECU is restricting u a bit, and u should probly get sum bigger injectors. 232rwhp is heaps low thats like 150rwkw like a standard engine makes. u sure its not 232kw at the rear?
  5. Hey mate, im running super steet S's on front and 8500N's on the rear by endless. Sweet as, they are a hard compound brake pad and may squeel a little when braking, but the performance is quite amazing (i just gota adjust my handbrake) a similar set-up like mine will be fine for track and street
  6. HUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEEEEE LAG! thats one of the main side effects for whacking that on an RB20.....and ul loose a fair whack of torque. I was gonna put one on mine, but now im looking at other ideas. Power however will be great u can get a bit out of em, over 280rwkw. or around that mark. Ul probly need ecu, injectors, Z32 afm and a decent clutch sum sort of twin plate.
  7. Id suggest spacers, but u may need to get ur guards flared so they atleast "look" legal if ya catch my drift.
  8. il take it off ya hands 4 sure bro.......how much do u actually want, i got a quote from Japanparts.co.jp for the same diff delivered to my door for 1380.....brand spanker.....il give u 1100 no bullsh*t
  9. Is it heaps laggy........im looking for a decent turbo for my engine, bearning in mind im building mine specifically for drift
  10. Mines running 14 pound on stock ecu and injectors with VG30 turbo.....and my dyno verfied the boost accurately, but i dont have an electronic boost controller just the actuator adjustor
  11. Cheers guys.......maybe il just stroke my RB20 then, RB26 crank and conrods and probly sum forged pistons to get it to 2.4ltr, that'l probly b a little better
  12. Tomei make a decent set of forgies for an RB20, expensive i think.........im not sure, im in the same boat as u mate, im trying to build my RB20 and make similar power, but i want cranking torque coz im building mine specifically for drift. I'l probly grab tomei's and stroke the car out to 2.4ltr so i can get a sh*tload of torque
  13. wat 2-way are u running in ur car currently.......if its done low k's would u consider selling it? im after one for drift badly
  14. Intercoolers cant take that much damage dude....have u actually ran the car? is it still making as much power? id think it wouldnt be. Its not really an expensive area anymore as people like just jap get cores for $300 and there 650X300X75 i think, its up to u wat size.......id suggest replacing it mate
  15. Hey guys, im trying to build my R32 as a drift car and a competative one at that. I know an RB25 bottom end will go on an RB20, how much messing around is there to actually install it?........and what benefits would doing this give me. My guess is greater torque and a better power range. But i dont know of many people who've done this, so if u have any ideas or knowledge help me out Cheers
  16. is anything wrong with it??? how come ur selling it
  17. Dude one of ur plugs isnt firing.....check everything is tight again, coz thats the definate answer. Had the same problem once and my leed popped off, open ur engine bay, taek ur coild packs off or leads and check the plugs again, then make sure ur coil packs are back on tight.
  18. So ul definately need something realtively stiff for track work and knda soft for evryday use....give sydney kid a pm and ask, but my suggestion would be TEIN HA's instead of HRs, coz that way u get damper adjustable so u can just easily set it stiff wenu go out and smoother wen ur daily driving. Bit more expensive but well worth it, theres plenty of sus out there, im enjoying TEIN at the mo daily and drift.
  19. HR's are just height adjustable.......i dont mind the ride but then again my cars being built for drift so they're pretty close to perfect. Thinking about upgrading to a ZEAL package with S.W.I.F.T springs, but il find more out about them. Sydney kid poses a point, and it all depends on what ur building it for, there are better shocks and springs for aussie road conditions to provide a better ride, but if ya like it stiff and bumpy then TEINS are great.
  20. u dont want too much camber coz ul chew ur tyres, same as castor, +9 is good, but make sure u clear ur front bar, if not ur either cutting sum out for ur tyres or ur reducing castor to around 8ish.......but it make s huge difference, and as for camber 2 degrees maybe 3 is very aggressive. So thatl b fine dude.....other then that have fun and drive
  21. Running a set of TEIN HR's on my 32 with killa results, very stiff they reduce body roll alot by themselves....i love em. Theyre a snap to adjust and feel great on the car
  22. no kidding! angels, sick..........thanks for the tips man, il look it up and see wat i can find
  23. Give Sydneykid a pm or GTRGeoff an email, somewhere along the lines ur car might have been in an accident or someone did some damage going up a curb perhaps. But replacing those items would probley solve the problem not necessarily reduce the understeer....might help a little. What are you building the car for, just street or your after more?
  24. Im sick of watching option dvds from 2003 and so forht and all i see is the best drifters with the Strobe lights blinking away, i want some bad, but i got no idea where to find em, there timed like cop lights.......i could get normal blinking strobes and put em in my lights but its not the same, any idea??? same goes for those LED's that go on the rims and go purple, blue, white , red any colour - any ideas where to find em??
