  1. Awesome, good to hear. Bought the Poncams - 256 I believe. Cheers ABO BOB So you're making 270rwkw with stock injectors and stock FPR? Surely that's impossible. What turbo is it? What MPH did you get at the drags if you've been? Yes 269rwkw stock FPR and stock injectors - confirmed on two dynos. If you have another place you are 100% on dyno accuracy I would be more than happy to get a print out from there. Turbo is custom Garrett, unsure of specs, I forgot what they told me went into it. Car has not gone to the drags yet. Thanks
  2. Yes RB25, bought the Tomei 256 poncams. Should I buy new springs as well? Oh and no I dont have cam gears, I sold them ages ago, another mistake? Should I buy just the exhaust gear again to keep the VCT? Little concerned about it now but thanks for the advice.
  3. yep exactly another $2k that wont need to be spent at rebuild time. I am hoping to get an increase of maybe 15 kw to take it to 285-290rwkw which is plenty for the stock internals and plenty enough for a daily street car. My tuner is excellent so what ever it ends up with will be safe and most importantly drivable.
  4. can't hurt right!! I like preventative maintenance - didnt want to put cams and injectors in and possibly start having misfire issues. I am also still planning a rebuild and want to but all of the 'extra' bits necessary so the rebuild doesnt hurt as much when I finally get it done. Having cams, splitfires, injectors all out of the way reduces the 'rebuild' cost significantly. Cheers
  5. Thanks for the advice, I bit the bullet and bought all of it, cams, injectors, coils. Turbo is good for 550 hp so should see a bit more hopefully. Getting a bit close to the limit of the stock internals though when will they go bang!!! Cheers
  6. Wow nothing for months and months, now three people interested in one night (radiator/hoses)...guess it helps when things are free. Sorry Chris, Bloodsword27 (dom) PM'd me first and will pick up tomorrow - if that falls through you are next on the list. Someone else PM'd me but I didnt get to read it before I accidentally deleted it - so who ever you are, I am sorry.
  7. BUMP!! No one? I have just ordered all my new bits, so these will all be up for sale very soon , (or not so very soon depending on how slack nengun is feeling)
  8. Yeh a lot of people were surprised with the stock injectors. Yes have z32, coils are not playing up at all, no misfire issues at all. Any ideas how much I can expect to get back for my stock bits? Coils, Injectors, Cams?
  9. Thanks for the replies, I was not going to worry about the FPR, and I know I wont see any gain from it, but I would rather replace the stock one with a new unit and run the same pressure so I know that it wont give me any dramas down the track. I am moving away from Sydney in a few months and want to get everything done that I may want/need before I leave. Price break down: Injectors, Splitfires,FPR $1500 incl. delivery from Nengun Fit injectors $250 Fit FPR $100 Fit splitfires $free Tune $450 $2300 (and I rounded to $2500) To add cams will cost me $300 to fit and $800 to buy. which will bring the total to $3400 Injectors are maxing out anyway thought it would be a good time to put the 555's in. I had the injectors about 12 months ago when we did the first round of tuning and was told we didnt need the injectors just yet and to save them for when I had more mods done - I wish I had just put them in back then.
  10. I have an R33 series II with the following mods FMIC Upgraded turbo Alloy radiator Nismo Fuel pump PFC AVC-R etc Stock injectors are maxing out so I want to upgrade these (although not absolutely necessary as I am not having any issues regarding knock etc). To replace injectors (Nismo 555's)+ splitfires + FPR is going to cost me $2500 for parts & tune Is it worth spending the extra $1000 to add cams (tomei 256's) to the list as well? I am currently making 270 rwkw on stock internals, and do not really want to rebuild for quite a while. Will cams give me enough noticable mid range without increasing the peak power too much? The car is only driven on the streets and I am after response not peak power. Thanks
  11. Got a few stock parts off my series II R33 Gts-t, no idea what they are worth - dont want to rip anyone off. Injectors $230? Coils $120? FPR $20? Radiator Shroud $50? oh and stock cams $150? Are these prices fair? Not too many avail. at the moment to gauge an 'average' price. Cheers
  12. Can you please let me know where you got the decepticon badge from? I was going to get some autobot ones made up ages ago, but the cost was going to be too much to make it worth while. Cheers
  13. plenum, intercooler piping, cam coveres, strut brace mounts, radiator mounts. I chose 2 different colours (the silver and dark blue) which made it more expensive (Min charge of $50 per new colour). If you want all the one colour it will prob. be a bit cheaper. Powdercoating is very cheap if you go to the right place. I am not that happy with the colours, the cam covers turned out a lot bluer than I wanted, I was after a gun metal grey look but had to re-choose the colours I had chosen because I chose the only range that they did not have in stock. Forgot to add that the pearl flakes etc cost a little bit extra with the powdercoating.
  14. Buy direct from Nissan, I just did the same thing, about $25 I think for most of the clips from the boot (I had lost a lot of them)
  15. Exact RPM I am not sure, but it is not until very high into the rev range, at a guess 6800+ I want to put in 555cc Nismos in, but do not want to make my short distance fuel economy even worse. Cruise seems to be fine, about 10L/100kms in more open driving.
  16. This is where things get interesting, a lot of people, who I would expect to know what they are talking about and a few that I actually trust as well say that 100% injector duty cycle while is not that nice will not do any damage if there are no knock issues. On the other hand there are many people that think it is the worst thing in the world to go above 85% duty cycle. I have no knock issues (30 max on WOT), does not hit 100% unless I really push it. I am still upgrading injectors, FPR, coils as soon as I get the cash together. 21L/100kms is not nice on the pocket though, could this be JUST due to me driving mainly < 4km trips (i live very close to work/uni/shops) and the water temp is only just warm by the time I stop. This driving style will change to min 20km trips on open roads next year, I am really hoping that things improve out of sight then.
  17. I am having exactly the same problem, and getting the same advice from a very reputable workshop. I will be upgrading to bigger injectors in a few weeks, but still not convinced that will fix my fuel issue (20L/100kms, but I do not get to drive far at all with the car off cold start)
  18. Photo was taken when we chopped the paint tin size carbon canister out, I have since purchased a standard size carbon canister and put it back in.
  19. cheers, got carbon decal from Nengun about a year or so ago.
  20. +VERY nice, i would love one of these, looks great. Any idea on cost landed? Another option (maybe cheaper) might be to get a cover made up to slide over the stock washer bottle, I had one made up for the fuse cover and it fits and IMO looks pretty good. Cheers
  21. Thanks mate still a few little bits to fix up, looks fairly stock still but fairly nice and tidy Since then have had polished radiator installed and a piece of crap POD shield, paid $360 for a plastic POD shield that does not even fit properly.... super ripped! but fairly happy with the radiator. When I have the time I will paint up the coil cover and make a new POD shield myself (should have done this in the first place)
  22. Not sure on compatibility, however, I have a shroud from an R33 Gts-t gathering dust - took it off to put twin thermos on. Cheers
  23. keen on injectors and splitfires also if only 800 k old and of course the right price. Cheers
