  1. Replacing worn out parts with OEM parts, is what retains the value of a collectible car. It's as simple as that A guy I know in Melbourne owns a genuine D Type Jaguar in concourse condition and it has all genuine Jaguar parts fitted. He gets call after call with big $ offers because the car is so original.
  2. Fair enough to mod the car with minor bolt-on replacement parts ( that you can swap back to stock later ) but I'm talking about changes to the actual / original car & engine etc. I would be looking for the most original GT-R if I was searching for an Aus delivered.
  3. Thanks but I'll pass on that offer. I think I'll just keep it and use it myself when the time comes
  4. No offence guys but I think you're off your f'n rocker modifying a "genuine" AUS delivered GT-R !!! All you could possibly do is decrease the true value of a collectable car. Why not just grab a must cheaper Jap import and mod the crap out of "it" instead ? Just my opinion ( but a strong one ). FYI, about a year ago I was offered the purchase of Mark Skaife's personal Marone R32 GT-R V-Spec. The only reason I bring this up is that the price offered to me was $36K. It was of course immaculate and only had 17,000km on it with all the bells and whistles ( and of course, Mark Skaife's autograph on the coil cover ). I believe it sold for something like $38K.
  5. Thanks for the help Bl4cK32, I picked up the bushes I needed yesterday and got a pleasant surprise. As per the description below, I thought I was getting: But it turns out that the kit was 8 pieces for both the front and the back shocks for $62.38. So, that's a big from me !! In their showroom is a rear cradle / subframe from a GT-R with all the drift bushes fitted. VERY tasty !!! And as they said, if you buy more ( bulk ) you'll save more so prol best to get a whole bunch of stuff & save 40% I'll be fitting them this weekend. Thanks again Bl4cK32.
  6. Love it !!! So did Terry actually get some good starts or do the bog-down & catch-up thing again ? Poor Brocky, he must really be getting tired of seeing those Skyline tail lights after all these years BTW, Top pic of Rod's car !!!
  7. It could be a quite few things. It sounds to me like there's a problem with the pressure plate possibly being faulty, or incorrect one supplied. Either that or the wrong clutch plate was supplied. There CAN be a whole bunch of other possible causes ( contamination, incorrect flywheel machine, pressure plate bolts not tight / broken, and so on ) but they are less likely to be the problem. Also worth checking is the clutch pedal adjustment to make sure you have freeplay. After that, there's only one real way to find out !!
  8. This is amazing !! I can't believe so many people have sent me PM's but nobody actually seems to want it It's a great clutch / flywheel assembly with heaps of life left in it for a great price ( IMHO ). Oh well.......
  9. "STILL IN GOOD NICK" meaning ?? Wear ? Cigi burns ? Rips ? etc, etc ?
  10. I had my split dump pipe ceramic coated by competition coatings and the front pipe WAS heat wrapped. To make a long story short..... I'm sold on ceramic coating. It works a treat and goes a long way to keeping the temperature down in the turbo area. Heat wrapping can give you glass splinters when you come in contact with it so that's another reason I prefer ceramic coating over heat wrap.
  11. Cubes, I'm in NO HURRY at all to get the AFM so sort out everyone else before getting around to me
  12. Hi, Sorry for not replying to all the PM's but my computer is a POS !! If any of you are still interested in the clutch, please CALL me on 0414-862-626. Cheers, Scott.
  13. Great cruise !! Mad pics !! Top day !!
  14. What's the post code in WA ?
  15. I'll bet that Toyota can't wait till it grows up and becomes a real car
  16. Yeah, Terry's a great guy with a great car/s and a really good driver ( except for his starts )
  17. Just thought I'd share this pic. Being a former 31 owner, it's pretty sex IMHO.
  18. Yep, and PM replied to.
  19. Yes it will fit an 89 model GT-R and will work fine so long as you've still got a push style clutch & you're not planning to push big power through it.
  20. Surely over the xmas break someone must have done their clutch in
  21. Mine's no show car but here it is anyways ( and the last pic is of the 31 I used to own )
  22. RB26 does work but I'm not sure if it's accurate & RB25 does not work at all. Is it the norm for everyone to just use the RB26 map ?
