TokyoTaxi replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
C'mon... You know you want my knob !!!! -
Wow !!! That's amazing to hear that. After I going back to a normal throw gearshift from the C's Short Shifter, I feel like I'm changing gears in an Excel !! Yuck !! But to each their own I guess

R32 Nismo Brake Pads
TokyoTaxi replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
PM's replied to. Cheers -
- Set of Nismo Brake Pads. to suit R32GTS-t. I tried them with R32 GT-R discs & calipers and they fit OK but are better suited to GTS-t. Heaps of meat left on them. SOLD.

I don't think short shifters damage syncro's as much as the person driving does if you catch my drift. I have heard from a couple of people that own GT-R's that they didn't like the shift quality with a short shifter but never heard bad reports from a GTS owner. I had a genuine C's one in my car and loved it but it's now out due to my de-mod program. That's the only reason I've removed it otherwise it would have stayed in cause it rocked !! When I got it in Japan, I also got a special gear knob that looks & feels exactly like the stock nissan one but weighs quite a bit more. Makes for much more positive changes / syncro engagement. P.S. It ( the genuine C's short shifter ) will be up for sale soon. Suits HCR32 ( also S13 I believe ) so keep an eye out on the Parts For Sale thread

Excellent !! Thanks.

Brake Upgrade Question
TokyoTaxi replied to Husky33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
My 2 cents. Use what you've got till it's dead ( unless you're planning on getting serious on the track ) and then if you choose to upgrade, do a complete upgrade like R33 GT-R Brembo's + discs etc etc. or UAS package. I upgraded from R32 GTS-T to R32 GT-R brakes ( discs + calipers ) and would have to say it was not "really" worth it. -
Well done Jimbo / Stace / anyone who's giving up !!!! I smoked for just over 20 years and have now been off them since 31 July 05 and it's not been easy so full points to all that succeed. My 2 cents......... 1. Fcuk the patches off !! They are just feeding your addiction and you'll feel like shit when you're on em and then crave like hell when you're off em. Bin em !! 2. Gum is excellent to hit those cravings on the head when they strike AND it's a way of "doing something" which is pretty much what smoking has become to most people. 3. Set yourself realistic targets. Go day by day for the first week and then 1 week at a time and soon it'll be like 2 weeks since you had one !!! Then, it'd suck to undo that good work so just go for one more week ( if you're having a bad day, just try to get through that 1 day ). Soon you'll feel the addiction side of things subside and then you'll be cruising ( compared to the first week anyway ). Soon, day turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months and you're well on your way. 4. Don't look for praise from others. Be happy with your own progress !! Most other people don't know what you're going through. 5. Most of all, ENJOY the great feeling that you've managed to stay on the wagon when SO MANY others have fallen off !!!! The following is something I did but I DO NOT recommend it !!! I actually had an opened pack of 25mg smokes stashed away in case of emergency ( I normally only ever smoked 8mg's ) but after about 5 months had gone by, I went out to a HUGE party and knew I was going to be tempted / weak so I took the old pack with me. I lasted until 2am at which time I was pretty drunk and then I gave in & lit one up. After having consumed heaps of grog, then smoking a STALE 25mg smoke, I got head spins so bad I fell over, hurled , broke into a full body sweat and then started shivering uncontrolably. The effects lasted for almost 2 hours !! Since then the temptaion is almost zero !!!!!

Damn !!! I just lost 2kgs reading all this from the start !!! Way to go pete !!! Can you lose about 8kgs for me ?? I'm far too lazy to do it myself Liz, way to go coach !! You can be the hot chick trainer for SAU's Biggest Loser. Now who to fill the position of hot dude trainer ?? Baron ??? Nick ?? As a side note........ Bunta, change your damn avitar !!! It takes me twice as long to get through a thread that you've posted in !!!!!
-
LOL. Mine just did this yesterday !! Had the car for like 6 years and this has never happened and after reading this thread, it happens..... Was on phone while it was warming up and talked for about 8-10mins and then when I went to drive away, the HICAS light came on and no power steering. Turned it off, waited about 2 mins then turned it back on again and all sweet Leson learned, more drivin and less talkin !!

If anyone's interested & would like to make an feel free to do so
-
Nope...... I was going to give it to a mate for his birthday, so if it sells it sells, if it doesn't..............it's a birthday preasent
-
Same here. O.S.Giken STR2CD Great all around clutch and very light pedal for a twin plate !! ( No chance of breaking the spot welds on the clutch pedal box ). Get from Ben Ellis at Otomoto ( or other places like Just Jap etc ) for $2K which includes EVERYTHING needed to install. Lot of peeps on SAU use Jim Berry clutches though with no complaints, and it's a much cheaper option.

Sr20 Det Black Top Complete Motor

Got a mate who's interested. He will be calling you soon. Best time to call ? -
Hey all, Got around 11 meters ( one length ) of 1000amp power cable to sell. It's the soft pliable black rubber type of cable so it moulds well when run along the under-body of a car. I used it as battery power cable in my old Escort to mount the battery in the boot and this is what's left over from that project. The core is copper strands and is 10mm dia. Looking for $100 ono PM me if interested. P.S. Not really interested in sending interstate cause it's pretty heavy stuff.

Removing Brake Stone Guard.
TokyoTaxi replied to tacker's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
What Richard said !!! Pop the caliper off, then the disc and 5 minutes with a good pair of tin snips will have the job done. If you're going to use an angle grinder in that area BE CAREFULL !! Easy as !! :PBJ: -
What he said !! I put an R32 GT-R pump in and it's a little bit of messing around ( not much really ) but if I was doing the whole deal again, NISMO pump is the way I'd go. 100% drop in replacement.
