It's possible but not probable ( IMO ). Go to an Auto Elec and get them to do a load / diagnostic check on your battery to be sure. I used to have a "Touchtech" 3 point immobilizer in my line and it caused me HEAPS of problems !! Could be the alarm unit itself or more likely the installation if it's not the battery.

Hi, Does anyone's version of Datascan have a map for R32 RB20DET ?? Mine only has R32 RB26DETT

I'm ready to go. I don't need the plug. Since I don't need the plug, could I get it at $300 even delivered ?? Huh, huh ?? ( Never hurts to ask ).

At $62.38 for the kit, I'm in !! If there's enough buyers for a 40% discount I'm even more in !!

I just don't understand how you guys can "let it go" ?!?!? After all the money, time and work I've put into my car I just hate to think about parting with it. ( and mine is only a GTS-T ). I mean, once you let go, what do you replace it with that could possibly satisfy you ( for the same sort of money ) ??

I'm VERY interested in getting the following for R32 GTST if this goes ahead: N32840 - Shock Absorber - Upper - Front bush kit ( 4 piece ).

Sorry if I'm over-stepping my boundries here Steve but I think it must be said again as a reminder. For those of you bringing friends / cars, make sure to remind them that this is an SAU cruise and as per the first couple of posts, anyone doing burnouts, donuts etc etc will be sent on their way and maybe even reported to the cops. 50+ Skylines on it's own is going to attract A HUGE amount of attention from any cops we might pass so we don't need any extra / unnecessary attention.

All that has been said is spot on and some more things to remember are that when you are doing your cool-down lap and while coming into the pits, stay as alert as you were at speed cause I've seen a few people come off / crash during a cool-down session. Also remember to NOT apply your handbrake when parked in the pits As soon as you get there, look around for a brick or large rock to chock your tyre so the car won't move.

The injectors I'm using are "Power Enterprise" purchased through perfectrun.com.au 550cc's and they're doing what they're supposed to after a couple of years so I'm happy

TokyoTaxi replied to 51utzr32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
More info pls..... Steel / Aluminium ? Make / Brand ? Colour ? Got any pics ? Why you seeling them ? What price ? -
Included in doing so, it also stops firewall flex ( and possible cracking ) experienced mostly on the track under HARD braking. A worthwhile upgrade to any car IMO.

I just had a look at the first post.......that's nearly 50 cars !! There's going to be a new hole in the ozone layer after this cruise

Could Ur Skyline Spool This :|
TokyoTaxi replied to greylayzur's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If you go to the drags at WSID much you're likely to see an orange commo ute running high 6's to low 7's. Go ito the pits and look at it with the nose off and you'll see a hair dryer about that size bolted up at the front of a 400ci chev When the ute leaves the start line it sounds like small charter jet taking off Just brilliant !!!! -
When I was an apprentice I took a Fiat Regatta 100s out for a test drive and ran into bunch of pidegeons ( but hit the skids trying to avoid them ). When I got back to the workshop, I opened the bonnet and one flew right into my face scaring the crap out of me and sending me back into the workbench. I don't stop for birds any more ! When I owned my Ford Meteor I hit a cat on the way to work one morning and was talking to a mate as it happened. By the time I got to work I had a bunch of emails regarding this subject but the best was: NEWS FLASH, CAT STRUCK BY METEOR !!! I shot coffee out my nose that day. And yes, like N1GTR, I've hit a person too A 12 year old kid crossing a main road during peak hour traffic on a skateboard !! After his parents finished trying to sue me for the incident, all my repair costs ( $3,800 worth ) were paid out. NOT a pleasant experience !!

dOOdz, ( and anyone else that's interested ), we could meet up at McDonalds at Engadine at 10am, have some fat and caffine and then cruise to the meeting spot at the beginning of nasho. Let me know.

Diff Centres And Final Gears
TokyoTaxi replied to salad's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Oh and to answer the other question, the cover has like 8, 12 or 14mm bolts, then the crownwheel and diff center cradle is held in place with 4 19mm bolts, then the center is bolted to the crownwheel with a bunch of 17mm bolts. I may be a bit off on the head sizes since it's been a while. -
Diff Centres And Final Gears
TokyoTaxi replied to salad's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Taking the diff center out and re-installing it into the crownwheel is not an easy thing to do properly without tooling to hold everything in place. I did a diff center replacement at home once and I would not recommend it as a DIY unless you have no other options. If you MUST do it yourself, just be carefull to keep the backlash shims in their removed order / postion and re-install them as they came out. You'll also need 2 pretty strong people for this job, one to hold the crownwheel and the other to do the breaker bar / socket / torque wrench duties Oh and keep everything clean while doing the job. Would be a shame to do all that work and have a bearing failure -
dOOdz, meet me at the start of the nasho in the car park and we'll wait for them there if you want. We might even have time to cook you up a steak
-
GT APEX, don't stress. You can keep me company since I'll be cruising for sure. My suspension is too hard for the nasho. The first 50% of nasho southbound is like a goat track IMO but after that it's fine. It's easy to get caught out on this road for many reasons so I'll be taking it easy. Shell, you coming ? If yes are bringing the CB radio things again ? and if so are you going to charge them this time ?

Diff Centres And Final Gears
TokyoTaxi replied to salad's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
It's not a big deal to swap diff center's but should be done by someone who knows what they're doing. There are things that need to be done like setting up the heel & toe & backlash etc and that requires a magnetic base dial inicator and bearing blue etc etc so best left to the professionals. Swapping the center will not change the final drive ratios since they are controlled by the crownwheel & pinion gear which you are not changing. -
How Many Skylines Are Daily Drivers?
TokyoTaxi replied to nare's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Skyline daily driver here too but would rather not. Used to have a 86 Automatic Ford Meteor in 6 different shades of red, worst window tinting on the planet etc etc and people would actually avoid coming anywhere near it in traffic and would park anywhere but next to it
