Its not a flashy rig, its got hidden led ring fans which you can just see through the case mesh and glowing ram and a few logos. Thats about it. Thats how i like it, im not a kid anymore i almost wanted a solid cube for a case. Its so quiet though! The thermal take fans with the stepdown cables are so silent. But they work very well. The watercooler again is silent, i keep checking the temps to make sure their doing their job properly. the corsair link is a good program too, very good to keep an eye on the temps and all the stats, i like stats Was playing a bit of doom last night on ultra everything and it loved it. Much more enjoyable with good smoooooooth gameplay. Played some no mans sky. That seems to need some optimizing. Unsure if its the game design being procedural generated or if it just needs tweaking but the terrain building ahead when flying in atmosphere is glitchy as f**k. keen to fire up project cars tonight but even more keen to get my hands on an oculus and play Project C in VR..... Love the keyboard. i have spent some time setting up the colourscheme for different games (and here me saying im not a kid haha) my fav colour shceme out of game is white/ pale blue keys which hit red and fade back out, tracing your type. but games are surprisingly better when your keys are marked for you and the rest blacked out. especially when playing games like Mechwarrior online where you have a decent amount of shit active on the keyboard.

Definitely not worth going to 4k for that then

Acer XB280HK 28in 4K G-Sync I recon its worth the extra $85, 1 extra inch but it takes it to 4k. as i can only run 1 screen ( i will run a secondary screen to watch movies on while playing stuff) but i dont have room for the 3 screen i wanted for gaming. im looking into the possibility of running 1 very large screen. like a 32-34inch, more money yes, but might be worth it for a single monitor setup.

Bought a logitech G910 for $175
-
Yeah im not about to spend that in a monitor $500ish is plenty i think
-
now, time to find a half decent monitor. im only running an LG led 27-en43

They rang me . apparently they have been had a few times recently. They confirned my info they had and proceeded. Not a good way to go about it on there part but oh well.
-
Yeah thats not about to be sent. I work in finance. I could do ALLOT with that info.
-
So, i have paid for the parts online using umarts online payment which is fine. And i have received an email saying they want a copy of my credit card and licence before sending my gear as a first time customer.... this seems very odd to me.

Yup. I did have a look at this. What im planning to do, is i really wanna try the m2, in a year or two ill pop that hdd in another compuet and get a 1tb or whatever is cheap in an m.2 or similar. Their price will plummet after not too long im sure.

Im only watercooling the cpu for now, its little radiator will take the place of the rear fan. I dont really need any more cooling...for now

getting very close to a final list. thanks for all the direction along the way, i have used some but i have let the budget stay up a bit to keep my inner child happy and because im simply happy to spend the funds on it. not surprisingly to me, im not keen on letting too much go haha, but im still under my budget and happy. downsized the psu and ram, GPU just dropped in price which is nice, changed case due to availability issues. stayed with the i5 6600"K" may look at overclocking i the future and i have gone the cpu watercooler to do this and just cos their easy and cheap. i have gone for the M.2 for os and games. why the hell not. i have the mainboard to suit it, why not just give it a red hot go. i also retain my redundancy 2X 3tb hdd in raid for the info i cant afford to loose in files. very good pricing from UMART, i have been on the phone with them and they have been excellent. confirmed what they had, what they could get and what i would have to wait on and they had almost everything at hand. prices are great, i just pay postage and postage protection so im happy. very good company to deal with imo so i recon: Mainboard - $ 259 ASRock Z170 Extreme6+ LGA1151 ATX Motherboard https://www.umart.com.au/umart1/pro/Products-details.phtml?id=10&id2=540&bid=7&sid=254824 CPU - $ 330 Intel Core i5 6600K Quad Core LGA 1151 3.5GHz Unlocked CPU Processor https://www.umart.com.au/umart1/pro/Products-details.phtml?id=10&id2=13&bid=7&sid=254220 RAM - $ 129 Corsair 16GB (2 x8GB) CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 DDR4 3000MHz Vengeance LPX Black https://www.umart.com.au/umart1/pro/Products-details.phtml?id=10&id2=401&bid=7&sid=258772 GPU - $ 649!!
