  1. yeah 10psi with front mount isnt too bad not a great deal faster my car didnt wheelspin at all with 255s until i put the hiflow on. 12 is alot better and is still stable on the turbo, Relax run it at 12 when u hear clunk clunk say to misses aaahh **** my turbo is blown have to get it fixed and bolt up a turbo with metal wheels :lol:
  2. Amir you should be ok to run 12psi with the front mount The main problem is running the standard cooler with such a great pressure drop over it u end up running your turbo at 16psi even tho ur boost gauge says 12

  6. That does seem a little low get the guys to check the pressure and cross your fingers its just the gauge If they dont know what your on about maybe u shouldnt take your car there for its service!
  7. The ecu is programmed to send fuel to ports on start up without need for touching throttle. I would think if u need to do this id say ignition timing could be too retarded uumm what does your cars rev at when its cold? Maybe sticky Idle air control sensor which is on the plenum sorry dont know how to check it tho!
  8. Yep i 2nd that its pretty easy u will be fine with it but a little time consuming just to change andd regap plugs!
  9. R33 timing is supposed to be 15 degrees but with full travel i get 6 degrees. But my TOP SECRET Rom advances timing at higher revs and it pings still so i can only run about 4 degrees?? I want to swap for standard ecu and see how it goes and i can only get my hands on a series 2 ecu i beleive they are slightly different
  10. ahh but you can get shorted turns as well if u are measureing resisntance or similar...which wont pick up a problem Sorry i didnt read that article just incase it explains everything... As what i would do even tho u need to spend $$ albeit not much a 2nd hand coilpac from a japwreck will let you change all 6 coils individually and see if the problem disappears if it isnt your coils then u will have a spare as when u boost up these cars greater heat in engine bay can kill the coils easier and now u have one at hand

  12. U could be real lucky like me and find that some bugga has already had one on and when i went to install all the cuts were there even the airflow meter had crimp conectors i just had to unplug and plug back into safc
  13. I like them big up top not lean :-) yeah he did 5 runs but its expected to lean out it has to at 1 stage so u enrichen the mixture but he seemed pretty sure about the pump even tho i couldnt see it.. I might have to try another actuator

  16. Relax ! what about a garret GT25? they have different housings for higher topend flow, u choose which one depending on lag. The rb25 t28 turbo holds alot more topend than an rb20 t25 turbo does but ofcourse u will feel it in response loss. yes to a degree u will still get a kinda flat curve with standard housing there is only so much air u can cram into it. All skylines run pretty rich altho if u have a remapped ecu this should of fixed that. yep bigger injectors will make u run richer still...... cheers
  17. Adam32 well thats just the thing i dont know? I guess the dyno says its leaning up top but isnt that what a safc is for to enrichen or lean it out? He just looked at dyno and said need new fuel pump? I should hope i dont have to change my whole fuel lines that sounds very costly! mm fuel filter maybe but i think im clutching.. KillerT u bastard i want those injectors :uh-huh: what about my other questions?
  18. Did you pull both actuator springs to feel the difference? I gotta try something its driving me crazy, hey Brett (PSI) told me i need a new Fuel pump as well he didnt tune my car went on friday and put on dyno, so still have a few things to sort out. whens yours getting tinkered with?
  19. Joel you are humming and harring quite a bit on your decision. I think the small amout of lag u will produce wont affect pickup very much between the 2 HKS units its not like your putting in a GT40 U can get used to a small bit of lag but u will be unhappy if your new 2510 doesnt give you results. For example we just got my mates SR20 2.0 silvia (t25 as yours) hiflowed with T28 Replica steel wheels non ballbearing and his spools way quick and he is gone, i only catch him at 140kmh end of 3rd gear and mine just got dynoed at 201rwkw He ran 12psi and front mount im spewin but dont tell him that :-)
  20. Gday Pete I agree mostly with boosty but i must admit prefering stainless steel in the real world. As far as i know Ally mandrel bends and welding all up i think its gonna cost u double, I think it will be easier for ally to polish but thats about it.. Ultimately Ally would be best but no way i could afford it and i did my full pipe setup from turbo out to plenum for $200 including carton of crownies for tig welds and polished myself :-)
  21. You need a proper crimper to use on thos lugs or u cand solder and heatshrink that is ultimately better. You wouldnt want one of your airflow sensor wires to come off at 6000rpm Other than that it is pretty straight forward if u are good on "the tools"

  24. Details please of the actuator adam. How many pound actuator how much where from cheers :-) So yours was doing the same as mine hey... mine starts at 10psi then rises to 14 by 7000rpm
  25. Isnt a helper spring going to hold it closed not keep it open? Ppl use a helper spring when they are losing boost i thought
