  1. hot rods? majority of them are modded and engineered/legal! was thinking...put it this way. If someone ran up the back of you and you were stopped at a red light. Did the FMIC cause the accident? No cause you werent at fault. However, late night, Old pac...single vehicle accident...something to the car and you has contributed to the accident!
  2. caturday ftw!! ok back to thread.... I'll use Shell's last word.. weak.. "piss" (as in pissweak)
  3. chick magnet wtf!?!?!?! hahaha Actually - hows this...the day I bought my R33...the day I met my mrs - and today - are still together 2 years later hahaha Oh, and make sure your old man is covered on your insurance policy before you go Yep, plenty of internet cafes there - in half of the european ones, they sell beer also Be careful when you get back though, your old man might not want to give you the keys back Cheers! Chris
  4. bit of an update.... I did a day at OP last week, was using semi's for first time on track also. However, after pushing car for a while, it started to understeer so Im thinking the tyres got a bit "too" hot. After a cool down and back out there, car was great again (and adjusting tyre pressures) kept on pushing and car did not want to go into oversteer. I did feel though my diff by the end of the day wanted to open wheel. I was pretty happy with the way the car handled, even though I was still learning on the day I felt the car handled great with the syd kid suspension package.
  5. this saturday!?!?!?!!?! awesome Steve!! Congrats mate, Im sure the day will go freakin awesome for you and your mrs!! *beersforall!* Oh, and re:semi's - at the texi - I was on the wet skid pan and I got the worst times with my semis, understeered everywhere and at one stage I almost came off the track cause of them!! Ando (a31deviat) wasntthebest either!! On the back track though we were pretty quick! Craig - mate, Im gonna take you up on the diff shimming - when I get time!!
  6. hang on, there was a omgwtfbbqbday meet up and no chubb invited?? *shocked look*
  7. To be honest, for 6 months I wouldnt bother with Jack stands. I lived in London for just under a year and still had my V8 taxi here. Dad drove it every weekend, most weekends was a 15min drive, and then the occasional central coast trip for the day. Never had any dramas with that car when I got back. If your Dad is going to be driving it, would he be bothered to put it back on the jack stands after each time and taking them off etc? You'll be right mate, and its good to see someone else passionate about their car p.s. where you off to?
  8. either way I'd be looking at getting the car engineered. Always helps if a cop pulls you over, although they might find something else to nab you on. Id give them a call (just cars) and ask them if the modification didnt cause the accident would you still be covered.
  9. was there a claim oblivo?
  10. Yep, I cannot wait for this!!!!! I'll be there!
  11. if you dont put it on jackstands, put a bit more air in the tyres

  13. Hey guys, After the last DECA I did in July,I noticed that I had quite a bit of fuel "spill" out from when I was on the skid pan. Now, I wiped it off as much as i could, but no matter what, fuel still splashes out (and yes, the cap is in!!) No matter what I do now, there is always a fuel spillage mark from whenever I drive the car, whether it be a nice sunday drive or on the track, no matter what, it spills. Now it has totally fubared my paint. Besides a respray of that whole panel, what else would fix these stains? And of course, before I do that - I need to fix this issue! I noticed today (drove to work cause it was a nice day, and the 31 was being emo) that there were ALOT of fumes coming from the fuel tank, with it all closed and sealed and it freakin stinks soooo bad and I dont want to drive this car now cause of it (until its fixed of course) and I certainly do not want to do another track/sprint day and have a shitload of fuel come out on me Any ideas? Thoughts? Cheers, Chris
