mate, they need to send you to an attitude adjustment school before they make you do a defensive driving course. i've done one (voluntary) and it was one of the most useful experiences i've ever had. There's a lot of theory to go through, but the actual practical part is excellent experience. That said, don't hoon and you won't have problems, will you?

That car looks familiar. pretty sure i saw it in a mag a while ago. it's a demo car for an airbrushing specialist. maybe not the best choice, but the artwork is pure skill.

ouch, sorry to hear about how harsh the penalties are, but good on you for realising you were doing something stupid and copping it on the chin! just goes to prove that at least some of "us" are responsible enough to face the consequences when we act like dicks. good show! ...but keep it on the track next time

i picked mine up for 31,000 roughly. and i can report that they handle brilliantly! good acceleration, great brakes, really nimble, plenty of cargo space (with the rear seats folded forward ), great passenger room. PICS STILL COMING! but i'll bring it along to the next SAU meet...when is that?

Well after much debating, wrangling with banks, negotiating with housemates over rent and bill payments and the like, i've managed to organise my finances enough that i've now bought a brand new Ralliart Colt. yup. i was going to pick up another 'line but decided to wait till i was off my P's before i did. She's Metallic Red, 16" Ralliart Alloys, Graphite coloured body kit (photo's when i get my camera back) First upgrade will be the sound system, as it's already a bloody quick little car. so if you see me driving around enjoying my new little beast give me a honk/holler/hello!

This kinda stuff is pathetic at best, and an absolute disgrace for a more apt description. I've hung out in car parks with mates talking till the wee smalls of the morning, i've gone on cruises. but i've NEVER done shite this stupid. i'm gonna make myself some enemies by saying this, but if anyone ever tells me they were involved in this crap or something similar i'll be having crime stoppers on speed dial. dickheads like that deserve to be made to watch as their car is crushed, then shot in the knees, then castrated.

i loled at it. The only good part about it is the yellow '34 in the preview! foxtel did a little behind the scenes thing and showed some clips; as soon as i heard one of the characters say 'hektik bro!' i gagged and decided to avoid the show at all cost! i do hope it doesn't make the modifying scene look any worse :S

Yes not being an idiot is less likely to get you pulled over, but i thought the whole idea of the club and forums was not to encourage people breaking the law, but to support the love of a common car platform. i'm not saying i agree with the old or new laws (though it is good to know the new restrictions won't affect me) but encouraging or at least not detering people from breaking the law is definately not the way to go. it gives ALL skyline and other hi-po car drivers a bad name, irrespective of what they are doing at the time. and the last thing skyline drivers need is even more of a bad rap than what some get already. seeing as the decision is made already, i do hope you behave the way you say you will. but the temptation will always be there, and if you get caught and fined for hi-po vehicle or doing something stupid, i for one will not be rallying to support you. do the wrong thing and pay for it, but don't encourage others to break the law.

It's Illegal. Full Stop. even R32's push the limit of the rulings. won't matter in six months time as the new laws come in with a blanket ban on turbo's, 8's etc etc etc ie NSW laws. hope you are off your P's by then or you are really screwed.

eegads people. this is at least 2 years old. and it was only half funny the first time around.

True the power is lower than most of the other sport hatches but it's running with a half a litre less. and as the rep was saying to me, they are only running low boost through it so it can be bumped an extra few PSI. and yeah, it's really hard to forget about the 80's colt but i'm trying hard the extra expence in the colt comes from the fact its essentially an A-Class merc chassis, and the engine block itself. only the block is merc tho, the rest of it is all ralliart gear. your average P plater can't really afford that i'm not saying they are expensive overall, just that they are expensive for some.

true price is a prohibitive factor in buying a VE, and i say go for it as i love the car. always loved holdens and always will. but a VE SS is a bit outa my price range, my power limits ( i'm still on P's myself ) and my petrol budget ditto the club spec rexxie.

VE SS i wouldn't mind except for the instant hoon/bogan/wog label that seems to get attached to just about every holden/ford in existance. which is a pity because those labels are ones i try and abolish whenever i can. as for the Polo TDI...meh. not a fan of the volks polo shape and i'm not a fan of diesel. i understand it's benefits but i just prefer petrol. i was gonna have a look at holden's astra range to see what they are like. i'll keep ya posted.

i'm avoiding ford like a plague, i loathe them. it's a tribal thing but as for the colt, she's friggin quick. i was leaving a couple of 'lines at the lights during the test drive. the rev limiter cuts in a little early for my liking ( just after 6500 ) but i can understand why. she turns on a dime as well, even the seats are nice ( they are out of the EVO VIII ). i'd recommend it for anyone who want's a really sporty performer and a small car in one. tried the mazda 3 MPS and was impressed but was a little soft for my liking, and the Renault just doesn't interest me. but yeah, it looks like i'll be getting the Colt Turbo as soon as i can sort my finances out! <edit for grammar>

Well since my 'line was written off a while ago and the whole issue has been settled i decided to go new car hunting. so far i've test driven the Civic Sport ( meh / 5 ) and the Ralliart Colt Turbo ( 10 / 5 ) so far the Colt Turbo has been a wonderful car to drive. but i thought i'd look around and see who's driven what and what they thought of it. i'll be looking at a skyline once i'm off my P's and have to money to do some serious mods, but for now just trying to find a nice quick little car to buzz around in. thoughts and ideas??

judging from the pics of the damage the guy wasn't paying attention to what was happening infront and hit the brakes at the last second. i had a similar thing happen to me a little while ago. sorry about the car, it's a nice looking little beasty. hey you never know, might get lucky and the damage will be repairable...

actually there are PS2 Emulators out now it's just that the vast majority are viruses not legit so it can be hard to find one. just google around for 'zophar's domain'. they don't actually have emulators but can lead you to them.
