  1. sears = season btw.. what happened to the post edit function
  2. i'd like to think thats the problem however ive had no issues for a whole sears (1 years worth) of track thrashing.. its only become a problem in the last 3 weeks and 3 meets.
  3. neo oem. thing doesnt actually see sustained high RPM use... would mainly sit between 4-6K rpm
  4. new thermo didnt make a diff... keeps pushing coolant out the radiator. keeps overheating. gonna bite the bullet pull the head off. inspect it and fit an MLS and ARP studs.
  5. Hi all I am running another group buy for AM Performance Blast pipes. I ran one about 8 months ago with great success and everyone was thrilled with their pipes. The pipes are high quality stainless steel items in either 3 or 4 inch entry with twin 3 or 4 inch muffled or un muffled pipes so the choice is yours to option them the way you want. I high recommend the twin 4 inch muffled with single 3 inch entry for most cars as they look and sound stunning. All pipes are Tig welded and polished mirror finished. hangers are not supplied.. its up to you to work out positioning and get them fitted professionally. if your in SA they can be fitted by AM Performance for a very small fee. I will be doing a small run for now of 5 orders. I will neeed all 5 spots filled before placing an order. Pricing works like this $280 for straight thro pipes in either 3 or 4 inch. $310 for muffled pipes in either 3/4 inch. $30 for express postage on all pipes (if outside of SA) rrp is $380 normally. so quite a saving. all you need to do to place an order is to email me on MY EMAIL with your choice of diameter entry AND exit. make a payment to the acct below and once all spots are filled allowed 7 working days from then and they will all be done. Simon Michelmore Commonwealth Bank bsb: 065-137 acc: 1076 8747 again... make sure you email me with an order. any questions feel free to PM me. PICS
  6. will be running another group buy soon if your keen PM me
  7. i put trident in the same basket as ryco. they work 99% of the cases but everynow and then one comes along and f**ks you right up lol. Ive had a few trident products prematurly fail in the past.. but i realise that like any mass produced item, nothings guarenteed. i picked up a dayco 77degree unit
  8. cool cheers i'll go for a drive to M/T now bloody trident crap is shit tho
  9. TK test revieled nothing... pretty sure its not a hg now. i have pulled thermostat out and tested it... pretty sure its not working as it should. it only starts to open around 90-95 degrees and fully opens in boiling water. by then i suspect its too late. can any one suggest where i can get a thermostat from that opens earlier and a part number if possible?
  10. yeah last time i was out i would slide a lap and drive 2 laps and temps would not come down.. thats driving straight at high speed with water squirters on... theres an issue
  11. front bar and duct are a snug fit, same size. the sides are the same width as the rad.. air is forced thro the cooler and the rad. the IC is 5mm away from the radiator. no top panel. should probably make one up. the little cooler at the bottom is a power steering cooler.
  12. sorry mate missed your post. its a 400X300X76 core mounted right in front of the rad. reason for this was to run shorter cooler piping and have the cooler in a safer position then the tradiational fmic location. i have made an alloy box section up also which directs aii the air coming in from the front bar thro the IC and rad.. the sides are blocked off so it is un able to go anywhere else.
  13. either the cam had some sort of hairline fracture and finally let go or its one of those 1 in a million occurances.
  14. its an RB25 mate but yeah im onto those things in the list
  15. ouch... had a feeling it was timing related tho has cam been removed or recently installed? is it stock or aftermarket?
  16. i have an aftermarket oil cooler (and still the OEM near the filter block) and oil temps reach 130 ish after hard laps. not really losing water... it doesnt use it. it pushes it out the rad once boiling and doesnt suck it all back in.
  17. final test will be the hydrocarbon one.. but im fairly certain now the HG is ok. yeah pressure is ok in the system but as you said something is not right... must be either rad, thermostat or water pump
  18. it should.. but its been dropped a few times and manhandled a fair bit. but yeah 90 is low... but motor runs like a dream.. wtf
  19. done pressure test on radiator.. 15psi for 5 mins and no drop in pressure comp tested with works ryco comp tester which does read lower then most 1: 90 2: 90 3: 90 4: 95 5: 95 6: 90
  20. running e85...almost not an issue here. the problem lies elsewhere
  21. yeah the oil goes thro the filter thro the outside first and then flows into the engine thro the centre...
  22. everything is pointing towards a HG atm possible to get tripple core rads custom made to the size i have available?
  23. nah defo not trapped air in there.. have bled it properly til no bubbles coming out the bleed screw. nothings changed either,.. and the problem has got worse over last few events so something is up
