  1. So Lee and Adrian which turbo would be better suited to drag racing? with some MT streets etc and a pulp tune? with mt streets and a e85 tune? with good street rubber? u guys both have strong r33 gtst's so in your personal opinions?
  2. im curious as to the dyno graph why is the total speed at redline so much different? is this 4th gear with the 30 and 5th gear with the 35? surely he isnt reving it past 8k? this may even the ramp onto boost up a little..
  3. im assuming you have a 3076 dyno print out to compare to mine? or is all that just your personal opinion without actually owning one? spongier? the host is asking about drag racing not going shopping
  4. i had one if not the first 3582r-iw sold in Aus, mounted on my 25 it started out low mounted and then high mounted on a etm manifold, and i loved it. my car was running a built r33 auto with highstall. the turbo had a 18 psi actuator with a .82 rear and would see 20 psi between 4000 - 4200rpm going up a lg hill in overdrive ive seen 5 psi at 2500 rpm, Laggy i think not. in my eyes this is the same boost response to the 3076, yet the potential for future power is allways there. i have since sold this turbo and manifold to another SAU member and he with a manual and e85 has produced 380 rwkws, on a stock motor with lg injectors at around 23 psi. i think they are the one of best suited turbo to the rb25 you can get. a wise man "nismoid" once said, a poor man pays twice so why choose a 3076 to get the same response and less power? you then want more power so you sell it and get a 3582. get a 3582 to begin with and do the job once. as far as internal gate's go above 20 psi, the 3582r-iw with .82 rear has no boost control issues that i have found when set up correctly.
  5. one of your intercooler pipes has come off.
  6. theres plenty there if you know where and how, every trip over summer, but one we caught at least one legal mully. the one in the pic was bit above average but far from the biggest. my mate that works for me landed a whopper weighing over 80 pounds, and 1.57metres long. now thats a lot of fish fingers.
  7. if you have never been down the coorong then its a must do trip. its around 200 kays to the salt creek road house, and for me being down south that includes crossing the ferry at wellington. once you get to saltcreek top up with fuel, and then its about 20 kays of dirt rd till you get to tea tree crossing. this is where you actually drive across the salt flat. this time of year its dry and smooth as. once across that its up the dunes across the top and down onto the beach.you can then head left down to Beachport and the south east, or turn right and head for the murray mouth at Goolwa. i personally have only been about 50 kays north of tea tree, as i was surf fishing not exploring and we found a awesome gutter so stopped there. but most of my mates have all done the whole trip and they all enjoyed it. i have 3 surf rods so catching a fish or two while were there is allways an option. if you only wanted to do a over nighter head down in the morning spend the day making your way up the beach to the mouth. catch a fish or 3 and camp up near the mouth and then the following day head back south. attached is a pic of the scenery, also often see emus, kangaroos, deer and the like running around the dunes.
  8. wd40 is a good product, but it wont rebuild your turbo for you.
  9. The murray mouth would be a good trip for a few cars to do. but im talking of the otherside of the mouth coming from Salt creek. 2 1/2 hrs of bitto then 100 kays of sand driving to the mouth. Pete you will have to take a few jerry's tho as your toyota might struggle in the sand, and chew thru the fuel.
  10. on a 33 i needs 2 inches extended where it bolts onto the cat. apart from that its a straight fit
  11. hey Pete you set it up i will chuck in $1000 towards the track if it pays me a .1% return for the next 10 yrs.
  12. crush the cars with duf duf music, and the ones down at the car park talking to each other at 11pm. They are all hoons and a danger to society. what a Fn joke. as PHD Hoon said the deaths related to street racing is less then half a %. everyday i see middle/old aged stupidy at its finest while driving on the rds. people that think there driving is impecable, because they sit on 80 in a 100 zone. if you overtake them, they wave at you calling you a hoon. when you get to a overtaking lane they speed up so you cant get passed without speeding. does this make me reckless or them? theres so many incompotant drivers on our rds causing accidents and deaths every other day, yet the current SA government turns a blind eye to this and to try and win voters they pick on imports , bikies , etc as they see it as a easy way to a; make money and b; win voters by making the public scared of us. then there is the whole desal plant thats gonna cost us and our marine life for the forseeable future. the government is gonna increase water charges to pay for this resource. but instead of destroing the gulf why dont they legaly stop the rice and cotton farmers in nsw and vic from raping the murray? then we would fix all SA's water problems within 12 months. bring on the next election i say cause the current government has to go. (then tax payers can fund Ranns retirement) the greater society has been led to believe that we are a problem, i think society is the problem.
  13. im with Benm with this one. as long as its a decent cat theres no problem with leaving it there. i found no gain at 330 rwkws by dropping the exhaust before the cat.
  14. isnt this the 5th or 6th WRX involved accident in the past 12 months in adelaide? and the cops target us?
  15. just for referance my 25 never went below 18 deg and it was only at 18 deg in a couple of cells. the rest were 19 - 20 and up, and thats running 24 pound. i also had a similar issue when poncams were installed, but that just needed a lot of new tuning and work with the ebc to iron out the map's issues looking at your boost curve it is terrible, so no doupt thats where your missing power is hiding, combine that with the low timing and you shouldnt be suprised to be missing 40 - 50 kws. why did you get rid of vct just curious?
  16. stripping it for parts is the ONLY way to get any decent coin back. i have recently stripped the muppet bus "r33sedan" and sold off all the goodies. had a build 25, high mount etc, so far i have recouped $12.5k from parts and i still have nismo injectors etc left. i can then bolt a standard engine in the car and sell that for 8-10k. which in the current climate is easily achievable, but it does require you stripping your pride and joy.
  17. does the car still run and driveable? is fuel pissing out every where?
  18. 044 intank is the best way to go up to 400 rwkws
  19. rb wtf say that again.. but that time is quicker then a old mates 350 chev hz with all the whistles.... good on you for doing it.
  20. Ban him and send him a virus for his efforts....
