  1. agreed the 3 piece aluminium things should be avoided. the thread to tighten them is very corse so the ability to get them tight using a allen key is not going to happen. and then theres the 3 pinch points. also why are you guys getting the end of your pipes welded? surely getting a nice smooth lip rolled into the aluminium gives a more even load point. ASE in adelaide rolled a few bits of pipe for me for $5 took him 5 minutes and it has a perfect flair at the end.
  2. just dont run e85 or your new nismo pump will die a ugly death.... and maybe your engine as well

  5. Gary the magic brown plug fixes all surely you have read my posts on the brown plug? behind the drivers head light there are 3 eletrical plugs when you disconect the brown one it locks the trans in 3rd. so reverse onto the dyno, open bonnet, unplug brown connector, put in drive, and away you go in 3rd gear. obviously it stalls up a bit cause your taking of in 3rd but it cant possibly kik back on you as its locked in. so its easy to tune all the light load points as well. Darren

  13. Your still missing the point Adam is the dodgy motor still in the car?
  14. simple logic really. you have a engine in your car that most likely has spun a bearing. can you drive the car? No! so pull the engine out. why trailer the car everywhere and get people to listern to it? thats a waste of time and money. surely you can hear the noise yourself and know that it neads to come out and be stripped down. and you have a mechanic mate thats prepared to help you, so why is the engine still in the car? its a 3 hr job to remove the engine, put it on a engine stand and pull the sump off. you will then know what has happened and the cost of what needs fixing. if everything is rooted then strip the good parts and get a stocker and bolt it back in. if damage is minimal then take the crank to chris miltons get them to machine it new bearings and go again. either way the engine has to come out. so thats allways the first thing to do.
  15. that's like saying f**k you to the greenies, and then giving them a hug? having a 1 inch hole is gonna cause a fair amount of turbulance inside the cat and may actually cause more backpressure then a full cat. i have a $400 metal cat here tangles if you want to try it. its no use to me any more, if you like then you can buy it. going cheap
  16. Hey get a impact driver and remove the srews holding the backing plate on the oil pump. then have a look in there to see if the pumps shagged? i would be getting a new pump personally regardless due to the chance of it being the cause of this, and also the chance of it having metal filings in it.
